Hi all!!
Brand new here, first game so don't be too rough on me yet.
ika-Hi, How's it going? How do you think voting for me will help sort me?
That said, I've gotta read the game and the set-up again so...........I'll be back when I've done that.

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
ika-the best way for you to sort me is to interact with me or ask me questions. Voting me and saying you want to sort me just looks like busy work. I know you think I had questions about the setup but I think I've got them all answered now. Do you have a read on anyone else based on what's been posted so far?ika wrote:Diiny wrote:@ika

Yes and all I can say is that it's a NAI thing. Any game me and silver play my first vote will always be going to her and most if not all my posts will be addressed at her till I sort her.
If you still think the same then I don't got much else to say.

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
Yes, I am but I'm wondering what other answer you expect me to give to this question? I am gonna have a tough time getting reads for now. This is my first game here and first game with all these nice people. So I'm gonna have to just follow and see what catches my eye. I might be slower to develop reads at first.ika wrote:Not 100% i have been busy as you know so i have not had time to read proper and might not for day 1. I do have to ask then, are you town? So far I see a lot of setup spec, particularly what should be done about the traitor role and voting in a way to protect the Dons. I guess I can see merit in everyone voting everyone if we can get enough people here to go along with it. But I'd prefer just to try to police hunt right now. I'm also not following all that close so need to go catch up.
I think I'm gonna have to go through and take some notes. I have no clue who to vote for right now either.

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
I'm saying it to try to figure that out to be honest. If he just votes me and doesn't do much of anything else, I'll be concerned he's just trying to look busy. If he starts trying to work with me to help game solve, then that will lean more towards town.Diiny wrote:Silverwolf wrote:ika-the best way for you to sort me is to interact with me or ask me questions. Oh, ok. Well right now if he were to vote me and do nothing else I'd say he's scum/mafia-what is the term you guys use for this? And if he makes an effort to work with me to figure out the game and doesn't distance from me, then it's more likely civ/town-what is your term for this?Nerolunar wrote:Ika seems to be very focused on decoding and eventually labeling you as either civ/mafia - if you could decode him in the same fashion it would be great. Right now, I'm leaning town because of his engagement level but I will be keeping an eye on this more as the game goes on. I have no interest in voting for him at this time though.
I do realize I need to vote soon though.

I went ahead and voted for
Golden
Mostly because he putting me in his list of people he wouldn't lynch when I had barely posted anything at that point is the thing that has stuck out to me the most so far.

Because he has trouble giving reads as scum. I'm going after someone who's meta I know. Quantity of posts is not what I'm looking at with him. It's the quality of his posts. I don't know the rest of you or the best way to go about this game so I am observing for the most part and if I find something I don't like, I'll point it out and vote for it.agleaminranks wrote:Silverwolf, if I can interject, you've been about as inactive as ika has throughout the game. In fact, Ika has made more posts than you have in this game so far: 19 to your 13. You've not offered any single reads on any people yet apart from ika, whom you seemed very preoccupied on from the start. You pandered for their participation in your very first post, just as a response to their vote. You also addressed Golden but with very little interaction.
Can I ask why you're pushing so hard for ika's participation and lynching when you aren't even performing to the standards you're asking for?

You either have some reason for doing so (which you have yet to divulge, by the way. Is it unfair for me to ask that of you?), you saw a bandwagon forming and wanted to hop on while you could (generally a scummy tactic), or you're just going to vote and not give any explanation whatsoever and hope it flies, which is another scummy thing to do. All around, you're acting very scummy and you've moved to the very top of my list. I'm still going to pursue the Wilgy route, but some things you've been doing have been feeling awfully police-like to me.

Well, You don't have to have interaction with a person to vote them. Sometimes voting for them and getting a reaction is a good way to figure someone out that is bugging you.agleaminranks wrote:Do you see me calling out the other two people who are voting for me? Re: [DAY 2] Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
I wish there was a way to multiquote so I could put all my posts about Gleam together rather than explain myself again. I fail to see the problem with voting right away at the start of the day. Why is that any worse that voting in the middle or end of the day? This argument doesn't make sense to me. Also, I'm just gonna stay out of discussion of game mechanics and setup since I'm not used to complex games like this and I'd rather spend my time trying to figure out alignments rather than discuss setup and mechanics and all of that.
Also, funny story-I just figured out today that gleam and the person I'm voting for are the same person. lol
Also, ika I love your new avatar.
ika-Do you have any game relevant observations to make at this point?

Because it's already been brought up as a point a few times. I wasn't really expecting to get heat for the timing of the vote but more so for the lack of reasoning for it which I have addressed already.RadicalFuzz wrote:Why did you assume I had a problem with you voting early in the day? That wasn't my intended message, though. I only asked for reiteration of intent. So far both people who have responded have opted not to, and that's odd in its own right, but I don't think malicious intent can be implied from openly preferring not to reiterate.
And good catch Sloonei on the ika ISO situation.

Re: [DAY 2] Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
This is a major misrep of my actions. I've already explained why I voted you and your behavior in reaction to it, seals it. If you are gonna spend this much time discrediting me, I still don't know why you are not voting for me but instead waiting for support from others before doing so. That's a scum trait IMO because I've seen it before.agleaminranks wrote:Addressing some things real quick:
Silverwolf, you spun your wheels pretty hard when I asked you to explain why you voted for me with no prior explanation. Then you said that you refused to elaborate, only when another person chimed in did you backtrack and say it was to see how someone reacted. Then when you were asked about what you thought of my reaction, you said it was just OMGUS.
You also said it was impossible to start a bandwagon that early in the game. I beg to differ. All it takes is a margin of one or two votes to start a bandwagon.
Could everyone else please go back to the very beginning of the day period and look at my criticism of Silverwolf's behavior. I honestly, truly believe she is acting completely irrational, and the fact that no one else is pointing it out is absolutely fucking mind boggling. I honestly thought it would speak for itself.
Marmot, would you please explain your vote too and quit with the shitposting.
Also Scotty, how was I acting like a, whatever it was you called me? Wet pancake or something? The hell does that even mean?
I need to go to work and then to some school matters. I probably won't be around until much later tonight.

I've noticed the resistance to this wagon for awhile now. Just noting this for now as it the opposition seems kind of strong at this point. I'ts particularly troublesome to see the ones voting for him, being discredited for very weak reasons.Nerolunar wrote:Wait, quite a few people have been voicing disagreement against the Gleam wagon. Why do people keep saying this? It's really starting to annoy me to be honest. Is it not this site's culture to interact with people you are friendly with, without being scumread for it. Or is it just policy because you guys don't like the personal nature of it?Scotty wrote: I don't like the love affair that comes with Silverwolf, however. Because this is at least the second person to want to lynch me because of what ika is saying to me and I still do not understand what the issue is.

Re: [DAY 2] Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
That's fine, then I'd like an explanation about why this makes me scum because it really should not be alignment indicative in the least. Especially considering we have played together a lot and know each other on a personal level. All I'm seeing is people want to lynch us and vote us for it and I'm starting to get annoyed. I do not, and never have, interacted with a scum buddy in this manner. It would be stupid play. I'm not an idiot. Otherwise, it just looks like a policy lynch because we don't play the same way the rest of you do which is also annoying.Sloonei wrote:I am not one of the people who has expressed this sentiment, but the way you two have been so strongly focused on one another has been hard not to notice, and unusual behavior like that is always going to attract attention in this game.Silverwolf wrote:Why do people keep saying this? Re: [DAY 2] Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts
Yes it can be suspicious but I'm not understanding how that means we both need to be lynched for it. Do scum have a meta on this site for buddying each other? Otherwise, I'm left to assume it's because we are playing differently because we know each other and that to me is more policy than anything.Scotty wrote:Ok see I assumed you had some sort of RL connection.Silverwolf wrote:That's fine, then I'd like an explanation about why this makes me scum because it really should not be alignment indicative in the least. But you are aware that what he was doing was buddying since you outright asked him to stop buddying up to you. So obviously you think buddying could be a suspicious concept, surely.
