Re: March Madness Discussion

I follow the Madness but I've been to busy this week to sit down and hammer out a bracket. No one at work cares for basketball, so at least we'll remain productive through it all.

Re: March Madness Discussion

Holy crap. I saw your comment about it being a blow out and figured Oklahoma was lighting yet another team up. Just the opposite! The guy who was my tax professor my second time through college also teaches at Villanova, so I've been pulling for them.

Re: 2017 March Madness

Oral Roberts University didn't make the tournament this year but thank God Wichita State did. If Oral isn't an option, I'll settle for the Shockers.

Yeah, because five Super Bowl championships, three World Series titles, an NBA championship, and claiming the Stanley Cup once all within the last 17 years isn't enough for you, huh? Sheesh. Who is this guy? :p

Re: 2017 March Madness

Mount St. Mary's (currently playing against Villanova) is about a 45-minute drive from my house. I applied and was accepted there for college back when I was in high school. I went to one of their open house events and loved the place (minus being required to take classes that shove Catholicism down your throat). I went back on a non-open house weekend and the place was on the dirty side. I crossed it off my list at that point, which didn't bother my parents much because they wanted me to go to a Pennsylvania school so they wouldn't have to pay the out-of-state tuition price.

Re: 2017 March Madness

It figures. Just about every year Xavier is in it, I pick them to go too far. This is only the second time I've used restraint with Xavier and they go further in the tournament than I picked them too. :fist:

Re: 2017 March Madness

I don't know basketball (like at all) but that seemed like a very sloppy second half to me. I didn't watch the first half but there were a lot of fouls and missed shots in the second. Am I crazy or just ignorant to the ways of basketball?

Re: 2018 March Madness

Little Caesars is giving away free lunch combos today. They promised free pizza if a #16 seed knocked out a #1 seed in the men's tournament this year. You have to place your order and pick up between 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. local time.

I bet their insurance company hates them right now.
