I'm not okay with that. How can I prevent that from happening by fakeclaiming?
Why are you being difficult?

I've already explained. By claiming, we narrow down the list of those who won't. Why aren't you interested in narrowing down that list? How is it a "witch hunt" ? Do you not find it suspicious that players refuse to claim?

Let's get specific. What do you make of OA refusing to claim? She said she would be punished if she did. Why would she get punished? Especially if it's a law that players are allowed to claim?

Cain is adamant about removing Cylons, so if anyone has a counter to Lorab, I suggest you get on it before halfway through the day phase.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Four

I think we should push an Epi lynch. Get him at four votes, then he'll be forced to claim or die.

I figured, as a possible civilian, Epi would be happy to help us get rid of this ridiculous amnesty act, but he hasn't lead by example and it's frustrating tbh. I'm not even sure I believe he's Athena anymore.

Do you think that Epignosis, whom we all know is Cylon as of the D1 lynch, would get amnesty if he claimed being Cylon? :omg:
Yes. The law states that anyone can claim Cylon, and if they are, they will get a reprieve for that day.

Knowing Epi is Cylon doesn't mean he's not allowed to claim it and grab that amnesty.

No I wasn't. Read again. Or perhaps answer my question on that matter, while you're at it.
I've already answered, you just don't agree.

I believe by narrowing the list down further, we are pressuring players even more to claim, and eventually, all will claim or face imminent death.

You don't like it "cuz witch hunt", but that's the most effective way of going about this IMO. I'd rather witch hunt the shit out of players before facing a situation where it is impossible to destroy the bad guys as LYLO.

I'm human, so I have no benefit from fakeclaiming, nor should I feel the pressure of having to.

Your vote would be literally proving my point on how this will turn into a witch hunt, if we don't get claims for each and every individual. Good job.
If you're human and/or civ, you should have no problem working with the town of which half of the players have already complied and just say it.

This goes for everyone.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what the Boomslang gambit is. Could you give a short explanation?
Boomslang barked for two or more phases at Long Con being 100% bad, harder than a trainer dog pointing at cocaine under truck wheels, and most of us considered it to have been a cop check. Not only was that inaccurate and LC flipped civ, but Boomslang was in fact a mere curser or some smaller role (don't recall) and he had done all based on gut. The mislynch repercussion was kinda dreadful for the civ game.
Lol. Omg I was dying when Boom flipped as the question curser or whatever and Long Con's ensuing response "Fuck you Boomslang" in dead red. Hahahahaha!

I know Polo posted a list, but just wanted to post my updated list... (they might be the same, probably are, derp)...

a2thezebra
DrWilgy
Epignosis
Glorfindel
OA
Ricotech
sig
Sokoth
Vompatti

9 players. Is that correct? Someone said 7 earlier, so I don't know if I'm missing something somewhere...

Of the names above, I am most curious of the red. Oh, and OA. She def not civ, right?

Daisy, Sokoth seems to be a friend of yours. What do you make of him seeing you claim Cylon but he won't do it himself? As a noob to Mafia, I'd assume he'd look to your lead in situations like this where the town is conflicted.

sig - I'm not down with anyone not claiming but I find you most curious because you have been legit asking others to claim but you won't do it yourself. Wtf?

Re: Battlestar Galactica Mafia - Day Five

So Say We All!

I'm suss of many people, but right now at 2:12 am, my top three are...

sig, Sokoth, Ricotech

sig "claiming" while really not was hella suss. Even before Golden said something, my skin crawled. And I believe Polo and Dex jumped right in with a "Oh sig claimed guess he can't be lynched now"...hrm.

Sokoth is a noob and his anti-town agenda (yes ANTI-town as over half the town has agreed to claim and believe it is for the greater good) in his first game is interesting. And no, I was not implying that Sokoth would message Daisy illegally outside the game and ask her advice. I meant, as Daisy is one of his good friends apparently, and this is his first ever game, that he would see her claim and go "Hmmm, maybe I should give this a go".

Btw, that line about anti-town agenda, that officially goes for everyone who isn't claiming. You can say "witch hunt" or whatever till the cows come home, but right now, I wouldn't feel bad whatsoever if we lynched a non-claimer and they popped up "obvi civ", they are essentially helping the Cylons keep their amnesty because of their shenanis.

If Long Con isn't Cain, I could see Rico as Cain. And Cain needs to go.

Instead, if bad, I can see him not exactly working with his team in any way, but neither exactly outing himself or sabotaging the state of the team via exposure.

Whatevs, it all sounds bogus. Why would she be willing to claim just because we lynch LC? Does lynching LC have something to do with her "punishment" if she claims now? I doubt it.

Epignosis

OA
Ricotech
Sokoth
Vompatti

How many players do we have in the game? 24, 25? Two-thirds of the town have agreed that claiming is in the town's best interest, so essentially, all of these players are anti-town as of now.

We need to put pressure on them. Do I think they're all "bad" ? No. Do I think Cavil and/or other bad cylons are hiding in this bunch? Absolutely.

I think we should start with OA, who can't claim cuz of "punishments" but will totes claim if we lynch LC despite "punishments".

Whoa...whoa whoa whoa. Lol.

I could put this in green but I guess it's relevant so I won't. I'm having a marvelous time just so everyone knows. When I post stuff like "we need to pressure these toaster sympathizers" or "i don't even care if we lynch a civ!!", that's simply me getting into the game like hardcore. I mean no ill will towards any civvies who are still currently not claiming. IF we did lynch a civ who hadn't claimed, I wouldn't be sitting there, rubbing my hands together thinking "that guy (or gal) effin' deserved it! *meanface* "

Also it's funny Long Con was accusing SVS of this earlier, but I actually have been roleplaying a bit this game, but in the best interests (at least in my opinion) of the town. BSG is one of my fave shows of all time (again tho, like one of my other favorite shows of all time "LOST", the ending is meh) and it's been fun getting into my role.

Anyway, as I've stated before, lynch me or NK me or whatever I really don't care.
Epignosis wrote:Enough with this claiming bullshit. I'm going to start voting people who keep it up. Get to talking suspects or get to taking my vote.
Do you believe OA holds a position like the President or the Admiral? For her to be "unable" to say the phrase because of punishments, if we even believe that, she would have to carry one of these roles. Otherwise, I think she's bullshitting and bad. What do you think?

I kind of wish I voted Sokoth, tho. I think if he were civ, he would've saw Daisy claim and followed her lead. I know nothing about the guy, and I know others will look down on me for using my personal experience against him, but if it were my first game and I only had one person I knew in it, and I was a lonely civ, I'd probably be looking at my friend a lot more to see what he's doing. I dunno. I think Sokoth needs to go.

Per the "witch hunt", it looks like Polo and others (MM posted something about liking Glorfy's anti-claim stance? wut?) are backing down, so eff it, I will too. Honestly it's whatevs, if we lose at LYLO because of this, I'll expect a participation banner with the words "I told you so" on it.

I think you're taking my theory too far, I never said lynch Dex. But I do think my idea is plausible and Dex should be looked at closer.

Before juliets died on his watch, I had Dex down as pure civ btw and was happy he was keeping up with the indiglo cause.

Yo Faraday...

You have 11 posts and the least amount of posts then any other living player in the game. 30 less posts then the second least poster, Nero.

That's lurky.

hulky an unfortunate use of an emoji. :mafia:
I thought maybe he was soft claiming Kat, but then I came up with my idea on him being an evil cylon.

I could go either way really.

Don't ask me details, just sayin'. Deeeerp.
Are you able to explain any more about what on earth this post was about? It will help me place you on my reads lists.

linki: Matt, are you aware that Dex replaced Faraday?
Lol @ the Linki.

Oops.

As for your question...

I'd rather not go into details. I'd be fine with my own lynching, tho, if town ever wants to go that way.

Question, G-man - Do you believe the Mafia may be able to duplicate other players' powers?

I don't believe saying "I am a Cylon" in quotes is an official claim. Without the quotes, please.
