Also, the order of the themes was decided by Day 0, of course, but dead people's votes no longer counted. So the order could change.
The Hobbit was obviously a pro-Sorcerer place, but we never got to Film Noir, which was a pro-Suit place:
Film Noir
The Hays Code is in Effect.- Any profanity of any kind will result in Preacher Harry Powell’s vote the next Day becoming +1 for each instance.

Y'all should have answereded the knights who say NI's questions! You got to ask them if a certain player of your choice had "ni", and since most roles had the word universe or night in them, most were a yes, but if you hit a NO like we did with Long Con, you could learn a lot about him!
Sorry!

This whole time you thought you needed to be Night killed? You needed to be lynched!bea wrote:epi - who would have come back if the other poll options for the dead players had won?
I'm dying to know who put Abed is Batman.
Marshy - for what it's worth - I did actually want to die so we could bring someone back. I was going to try to bring you back if it happened. Sadly no one tried to NK me.
Let's see. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, as I'm going to attempt this from memory:
Sorcerers knew Boddy (Made)
There's a seemer (Dom) I really thought this was clever and that it would bring Dom back into the game.
DON't TRUST PICTURES (Bass)
Who is dead (Roxy)
Tyler Durden lies (llama) He originally sent in "Boomslang is bad" but changed when he saw Boom was going down.
Daisy killed me (Russ)
Abed is Batman (TH)
Wisdom Courage Power (nijuu)
I had no idea what I was going to do when bea signed up. I spent a couple of hours thinking about it. I couldn't just add a 31st role (even a secret one) because everyone would know bea had it. When, after the game began, you PMed me with the "Ah, so they are the Doctor and a companion," I thought, "Well damn, that would have been a good idea too!"S~V~S wrote:Also Gleeok got changed, very clever way to work in that 31st player Epi
I was sooo sure Bea was a companion, lol. I was amazed no one went after her for being the 31st person to sign up when the host said that he prerandomed the roles by order of sign up. So with 30 roles, the 31st player had to be...a secret role.
But no one really went with that. I came close, but then I reread Elo since there was the mega early vouch, and could see she was civ. So i backed off Bea, thinking the 31st role was a companion, since Dr Whos role SAID he travels with a companion.
I have not made them yet. If you are volunteering, that would be most welcome.Long Con wrote:You need winner's banners, Epig?
I parodied this in my Doctour Who post.Long Con wrote:I just prefer to spell things correctly whenever possible. Americans apparently don't like the letter "u" as much as the rest of the world, so they drop it from words like colour, honour, neighbour, rumour, etc.Snow Dog wrote:LC, why did you spell it "rumour"?

Re: The Syndicate 2014 Game of Champions [ENDGAME]
I take responsibility for this. My error in judgment was specifying for victims how they were silenced, that is, whether they had been holed or pigged. In retrospect, I should have just said they were silenced and blocked. To compound the problem, I allowed people before MP to say what team affected them, so I felt inconsistent not allowing MP.MovingPictures07 wrote:Regarding my decision to infodump, I thought I had considered all the ramifications of it, but in reality I hadn't, and shouldn't have rushed to the decision. I am very, very sorry to Dom. It was unfair. At the time, I had seen the previous cycle where LC said he was silenced by the Warden, and so I thought if other people are saying who silenced them, then why shouldn't I? I went back and forth on the decision SO MUCH because I knew outing myself would be incredibly risky and it would be possible no one would listen to me, but I had asked Epig not just once but multiple times whether my prospective decision was OK and not against the rules. He gave me explicit permission every time, even if he questioned whether I'd want to do it. If he had just said, no, this is clearly role outing, there's no way I would have done it. I frankly thought that he intended some degree of possible outing of my role considering that is a mechanism that outs me to entire teams as it is -- both baddie teams already knew who I was -- and I viewed it more so as you getting caught by the mechanism, and not being outed by me. And I totally blanked that there was a role blocker in this game, so I kept thinking it would be so evident I was the only one silenced, and that people were starting to catch on anyway. As perhaps misguided as that approach was, that's how I thought of it at the time, especially since I had Epi's approval. I realized after I did it that, even though I didn't say "Dom is bad", it was essentially equivalent to that, and so I obviously regret it, and would never do that again. I understand how frustrated you got, and at the time I realize I didn't show the degree of empathy that I should have, and I apologize all around. I shouldn't have ruined your game like that. And so I'm glad I lost, to be honest.
So I have learned something through the experience.
I'll post about role outing and info-dumping in a little while.

I keep a spreadsheet until the number of night actions becomes mentally manageable. If you give me some time I can put that together, sure.FZ. wrote:Congrats to the winners!! Glad to see the civvies won even though I was not part of it. It was a great game while it lasted for me. I love Epi's games
On that note, stop killing me! Who killed me by the way?
I don't even remember who I blocked, but I do remember blocking DH the night I died. Lot of help that did By the way, Epi, do you keep track of night actions? I'd love to see what happened each night
