WTF? How is this? Like reading the thread is a waste of time? And baddies apparently don't like to play mafia anymore. If so whats the fucking point?

Take my thoughts lightly, fine. But JJJ was up to no good last night IMO. :eye:

In a vacuum, absolutely yes. Mafia members slank off more in general, and when the universe hands them an excuse to do it free of judgment, many of them are going to be very pleased -- even those who've been under some pressure. Also consider the character of Quin's involvement in this period of connectivity issues: is he merely fending off accusations and assure survival, or is he attempting to solve the game?
JJJ, your agenda is clear. The mafia are slackers and don't post.

They are exactly the opposite of you and your posting restriction.

Like me, I'm a slacker cause I didn't post when you expected me too, right? Yeah, right.

Interesting. I was going to actually ask you for your opinion but you have given it anyway.

Why?
He's oozing with sincerity, there's emotion in his dialogue with Jack that I don't think would be there if he was bad, and his self-imposed post cap is something he could easily milk if he drew a scum role. Instead he seems to be struggling against it. Not to mention the alignment of his thoughts with mine in more than one place.
Sloonei wrote: Sat Jan 13, 2018 10:25 pm Food for thought: Jay reads me better than any other mafia player on Earth. rabbit8 wrote: Thu Jan 18, 2018 10:43 pm Is your posting restriction over JJJ? Are you done lecturing on how baddies are lazy incompatant boobs and reading the thread is a waste of time?
Yes that ship sailed a while ago. If you really care about that posting restriction you can learn all about it right here. You can also see plenty of squeaky alignment-free chatter on how much I think bad guys tend to slank off. I also think that time spent reading thousands of posts is often better spent simply interacting in real-time. That portion doesn't have to amount to suspicion, it is philosophical. However, I have seen bad guys hide behind their periods of "catching up" to excuse their lack of contribution.

You don't agree? Well jolly for you.

I'm very jolly. You seem to be the one who is upset I called you out. You got hyper defensive. What you think time is better spent on and what I do is obviously not the same, to use it as a scum read is absurd.

You've seen bad guys blah blah blah, have you seen me do it? Has anyone seen me do it? Have you asked the multitude of players who have seen me play is if hide behind excuses like these lame players who apparently do it all the time. No you jumped on the first thing you could to get a bad read on me while claiming WIFOM defense of why would I kill the guy who reads me as town bullshit defense.

So you usually just assume players meta without actually discussing it? That's not what I've seen of you in the thread. Jumping to conclusions seems out of character from the rereads I've done on you the last day. :hugs:
What else is a player supposed to say to accusation like that?

just totes curious about that and how far ahead Epignosis is with the setup or if this was player initiated.
We are resurrected today because we're in the netherrealm today, as far as I understand. We'll disappear from the game, of rather you'll all leave our realm, once this day phase is over. So this was definitely a setup thing and not a player-activated mechanic, from my understanding.

Dunya- voted sig right after tonystarkprime had most votes fo lynch, saved him so he won't be killed & end up killing a civilian
Simon- ??? Dodging questionares, givign little hope in defending himself at all, not trying enough. ( maybe this is drwilgy? ?) I dont know both still aren't even trying
Tonystark - dunya
Made- vanished after bein accused. Maybe he is playing the underground so nobody notices his movement.
Nova - hasn't really been givign more though in his votes. Seems to be just picking sides for a lynch to happen.
(?)
Your suspicion of dunya seems to be contingent on TonyStarkPrime also being suspicious, but when explaining why Tony is suspicious, you only cite dunya's behavior. Is Tony a suspect if dunya isn't in this game?

The whole she tried to save him as he's partnered up with her is mainly why, nothing else. He hasn't contributed in anything today. not very strong defense but that's what I'm going off of.
what makes you feel that she tried to save tony, rather than that she was genuinely suspicious of sig?

I'm really not in a position to answer this. I only loosely followed along during Day 2, with absolutely no effort toward deciphering the curses. So it was truly chaos to me. I loved it, but it wasn't anything I could develop any reads from. My work schedule and other mafia commitments have sapped me of my ability to make a big impact on this game during my brief window of participation. Re: Mortal Kombat Mafia [Day 3]

Strong town reads at the time of my death were Jay, lapluie, Made, and I think Kyle, but I don't remember why on him. I also felt good about Quin and had a very slight town read on wilgy.

I would not be surprised if one of Dave or navaselinenever is bad. Speedchuck is a player I'm always unjustly cautious of because I hosted him in Pirates and he had me doubting that I'd actually sent him a scum rolecard for a bit. I also had some doubts about Jack at some point, but I forget why.

I am sorry that your are unable to accomodate our request but given your circumstances and we wish not to impose too heavily upon you, may we pose our question another way?

Were you Mafia, what factors would you have considered or would’ve influenced your decision in arriving at a night kill target?

This question (the original one about the identity of 5 likely night kill targets) is open to anyone to answer but it is your response Master Sloonei upon which we await.
Generally I try to go for players who would be difficult to push a lynch against, but whose death would not present a clear line back to myself or my teammates. In a game like this, I would also want to factor in potential role and game mechanics. I think my death on Night 1 indicates that the scum team was interested in removing a player with a lot of town credibility. I would not be surprised if they opted to pursue the same angle again on Night 2.

I went through some games we've played (I'd link them but we don't have proper ISO's over there, you can have links if you really want them). My immediate observation is that she has a lot more to say overall compared to the shorter comments we're seeing here, both as town and as scum. I don't think it's alignment indicative. I think she's more likely intimidated and struggling to get her feet on the ground; the personalities here are definitely a different sort than our other site.

And I don't think so 3J. I've seen plenty of that before.
Ditto. She's never played a game with this much volume and this many wacky things goig on. Her attitude, I think, reflects a lapluie who's going at it indepdently, which means no BTSC partners, which means not scum. I would stick by my town read of her.

I stopped being in this game ages ago and only followed loosely for the most part, but I loved watching lapluie rise to the challenge of this game. It was awesome to see and brought a figurative tear to my eye. This was the most challenging game should could have picked to sign up for in her Syndicate debut. I'm pretty sure the size and complexity of this one were both unlike anything she'd played before, and it seemed like her play grew stronger as the game went on.

I'm excited to actually play a game for more than a single phase with you in the future, lapluie. And I'm relieved my Day 1 read on you was correct. :phew:

whew sloonei!! thanks for cheering me on!! Yes you're the definitely correct on the latter- game was more comfortable interacting with everyone on a more calmer? Note than before when it was fewer players left, which was much more flexible to be vocal & jazz. but woah, what a game, I'd be happy to play more with you also...just don't keep dying on the first days ok?

How'd you get correct read on me? tell me more about that
You just appeared to be trying to figure out the game. You had the additional task of needing to figure out what the hell was going on in terms of the Syndicate culture and player personalities and such. If you were bad your teammates could have helped you out behind the scenes and you could have played up the noob card. You didn't do that, and instead you seemed focused on moving forward on your own.
