You didn't even vote for TinyBubbles, silly llama.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 6)

A list of people that Bubbles interacted with or mentioned, in chronological order:
SVS - answered a technical question
Metalmarsh89 - Answered an "are you bad" kind of question
thellama73 - Fight!
Golden - Reaffirmation of an OT point
Dharmahelper - Ganging up on poor Llama
DFaraday - Missed vote commiseration
BWT - Asking about his gameplay
Epignosis - RIP
Typhoony - RIP
Bass - says she reads neutral on him
JJJ - Answering alignment questions
Turniphead - defended
Scotty - confusion
MP - discussing Golden
GMan - RIP
reywaS - vote
Roxy - thanks for the defense
Boomslang - what's the case?
Canucklehead - defending
unfurl - RIP
Devin - big suspect

Of these, I think TH is the most likely teammate based on their interactions, but I'm more suspicious of the people she didn't interact with. These include:
aapje
bea
bullzeye
DrWilgy
Lorab
nutella
Russ/whatever his replacement's name is
sorsha
spacedaisy
timmer
tranq.

Sometimes teammates forget to engage with each other in the thread, because they can do it behind the scenes. I would bet one of the people in my second list is Urgleburgle.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 6)

Bullzeye:
Day 0: Jokey, lighthearted, lots of talk about how the adverb theory is stupid. Fairly typical Day 0 stuff.
Day 1: He says my supatown reasoning against TinyBubbles is weak. Obviously, he was 100% wrong. In your face, Bullz. Criticizes unfurl's attitude and lack of baddie hunting. Where's your baddie hunting, Bullz? Advocates lynching low posters for lack of better suspicions.
Day 2: Defends TH from the disembodied voice demanding his lynch. TB also defended TH. :ponder:
Day 3: Doesn't say much except to defend Golden. Lots of defending, not much attacking.
Day 4: Buys into the Boom case and votes there. Otherwise criticizes other people's suspicions as bad ones.
Day 5: "Wah, wah, I'm so busy. Dissertations are hard."

Overall, Bullz's game has been very defensive. A lot of disagreeing with other people's arguments, but no real arguments of his own. I would say that this indicates he's more interested in preventing good people from being lynched than in lynching bad people. To be fair, though, he has been legitimately busy, a condition I experienced myself earlier, so I get that.

I need to mull on this.

When people imply I'm using uni work as an excuse, it seriously offends me. Especially when they phrase it like this. When I voted on day 5 I was really tired after being in the library all day and had no interest in mafia but knew there was a lynch ongoing and I hate missing votes. So I made a lazy one. Worked out okay in the end.

Mull away. I would like to ask this question: Has any of my play this game been drastically different from any other game, regardless of alignment? Am I ever a high posting, case spamming, super invested and non-defensive player in your opinion?

I would say that agreeing and disagreeing with people is essentially the way I get myself into the game. I find a starting point and work from it. I'm still trying to find that point in this game.
Okay, I'll grant that the first comment was uncalled for. I didn't mean it to come across as mean as it sounded. I was trying to be playful. I apologize.

I don't have a good enough memory to know if you were more aggressive in past games, but I do think your play thus far fits a profile I associate with bad guys. Of course, correlation is not causation, as wel all know. Still mulling.

Bubbles was leading the lynch vote by a large margin when I didn't vote for her. There was no chance of saving her by voting for DH. Why would I do something so stupid as to not vote for her if I were her teammate? If I were going to throw her under the bus early, why wouldn't I follow through?

Damn. Now this is a post.

only problem I have with this is I think that if all this were so, llama wouldn't have had a problem throwing TB under the bus yesterday. Why not vote TB when he's previously been vocal against TinyBubbles? Even if he's the very last person to vote, no one is going to think strangely of him for it.
Exactly, rey.

I'm starting to wonder about DrWilgy. I haven't played with him before and up to now he's escaped my notice, but he begged us not to vote for TinyBubbles, and his vote for SVS is based on disagreeing with her logic, not genuine suspicion.

Woah, hold up! Wilgy holds up a big stop sign, Jack black can be seen in the distance pointing at it. Disagreements in logic isn't genuine suspicion? Logic doesn't lead to genuine suspicion? Genuine suspicion isn't caused by logic? Wat? If there's something you don't understand quote me for it, but this makes absolutely no sense Llama.
I used to lynch a lot of players because their logic didn't make sense to me. I lynched a lot of civvies that way. Being illogical is not the same, or even correlated to, being bad. I would think you would know that.

I'm going to vote for position 2, because I don't like either lynch/nk protect for the two bad teams.

A bit confused about why people are suggesting the lynch (or lack thereof) wasn't the result of a switch.
1. There was an active lynch switch power last night. Why wouldn't it be used?
2. What do we gain by saying it wasn't a lynch switch? What's the point of that?

at least we'll be able to lunch someone with less interference/lynch blocking.
Each baddie group needs the other baddie group dead to win, so there is a good chance that the lynch will switch from one baddie team (or a civvie, or a neutral) to the other baddie team.

At least that is what I'm hoping.

Are the trapeeze injury and the cat injury related? Like, were you attempting to bring your cat with you on your trapeeze adventures, and the cat let you know how he felt about that situtation?? And thenyour grip slipped, leading to the rip injury?? Regardless, I'm very sorry for your misfortunes......but I won't deny that I'm very pleased about the hilarious mental images the middle two are conjuring up for me.

LOL, that does not sound very good. And oddly, I can say the same about you to some extent, but probably in a different way.

I have decided to backburner my previous supicions for reasons I said earlier. I am leaning towards Syn. Having reread Russti, I am not inspired with confidence that he was even neutral, much less civ. Synonym came in acting like BTS. While there IS civ bts, his hasty incomplete case felt faux to me.

You?

Linki @ Rico, I would either rezz someone that was a fun player if I were unrecruited, or not use my rezz at all. I would not rezz someone playing a strong game as it could bite me in the ass. While I could see civ reasons for denying being recruited, I would automatically assume the rezzed person had been recruited. Not necessarily by baddies, but not neutral.
I don't know. I don't really feel like Synonym is playing, which is annoying, but not especially dangerous at this stage. I would rather get a dangerous player. I'm pretty curious about DrWilgy, but the silenced bit makes me a bit hesitant. Why would someone silence him today, when he was a fairly obvious lynch candidate? Are they tryig to protect him? Is he faking being silenced? I am second guessing myself here.

I'll put my vote on Wilgy for now and move it if I need to later.

Five votes piled onto Synonym within a half an hour? That's a little :eye:

Fine by me. I like to see the lynch post before I go to bed, rather than wake up to it.

Well, i don't feel comfortable about voting Wilgy or TH tbh. I do feel good about Rico & (ironically) DH. I have no reason not to trust the Keeper. Not sure why Wilgy piled on, or Devin, though.

What are your thoughts on Synonym?

Linki @BR :hugs: whatever works for you :)
I don't really think anything about him, as he has barely posted. He seems like a non-entity to me, and while I am fine with killing off low-posters in general, I am a little more concerned about finding the really dangerous bad guys at this point. Their powers scare me.

I think Synonym was definitely being saved yesterday, so he gets my vote today.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 8)

I get the arguments against voting Syn, but to me it's an Occam's razor sort of scenario. The thread was locked immediately after Wilgy took the lead in the poll. The most simple explanation is that Synonym's team is protecting him. The other two explanations are that Syn himself is the thread locker or else the thread locker just did it to throw us off the track, but I find both of those considerably less likely.

We went down this same rabbit hole with TinyBubbles, trying to second guess ourselves, but in thta case it turned out that the simple answer was true. I think this will be the same.

I have to review the case on BWT. I wasn't really around for it yesterday.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Night 9 2.0)

Hey guys, I'm really sorry I've been so absent lately. Been doing a lot of traveling and it's been hard to keep up. Responding to one or two things I saw I missed, I don't think Rico is bad (I know it's out of character for me, but bear with me :P ) I don't think DH is bad. I do have a new suspect, though, and he happens to be a Marmot. I don't trust that Marmot one bit. More later when I have time.

I voted position 2.

Nope, not me. :)

Let me explain my suspicion of Metalmarsh89. He has felt off for me for a while, but I couldn't put my finger on it until today. His entire game has seemed to me to be based on trying to survive above all else. He has been careful to be cheerful, friendly, and not to make any enemies. His suspicions have been mild and distinctly non-combative. He has said nice things to virtually everyone and tried to generally be a pleasant person to have around in the game.

Now, I know that Metalmarsh is in real life, an extremely pleasant person, and a recall well the discussion he had with MP about trying to vary his game style after a string of early deaths, but this all feels very calculated to me. I know the way I play, and what MM has been doing reminds me of my own baddie game. When you have a team to support, you are more careful than when it's just you. It wouldn't surprise me if MM is one of the original recruiters, since this has been his style from the beginning. Of course, it's possible that he is doing it solely for the reasons he claims, but it feels phony to me, and I don't trust it.

One could say you've been playing a particularly careful game compared to your usual meta as well. :ponder:
Fair point, but one could also say that I've been traveling a lot and having a harder time digging into the game. I'm still coming out with cases, though, ain't I?

By the way, I still think you are bad. I also enjoy that you are accusing me of the same behaviors you have exhibited this game.
You are a pleasant person. Too pleasant. :eye:

Since no one seems to be listening to either of us, I guess we can go on suspecting each other for the same reasons then.

Night 9 has started over, that is all.

So I believe we do all have to re-send our night actions in.
You may be a baddie, but you're right about this.
