Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 6
Analysis incoming.
I am operating under WWED? or, "What would Epignosis Do?" I am also operating under the belief that Made and Enrique were teammates. Below are two lynch votes. One is where Enrique and Made were voted, and the second is when Enrique got lynched. Note that this doesn't account for switched votes.
Enrique
10
Epignosis (2), Black Rock (6), Bass_the_Clever (7), Snow Dog (8), sabie12 (12), Chris (15), Hedgeowl (22), keys56000000000 (23), Long Con (24), Spacedaisy (26) 36%
Made
14
S~V~S (4), DFaraday (9), Enrique (10), juliets (11), Turnip Head (13), Elohcin (14), Dom (17), zeek (18), nijuukyugou (19), Roxy (20), Gotrees (21), Dana (25), Made (27), MovingPictures07 (28) 50%

So, do you want to lynch a Dalek or a Cyberman next?
If you want a Dalek, then:
S~V~S
juliets
Dom
nijuukyugou
Roxy
Gotrees
Dana
MovingPictures07
One of these eight are Dalek thingies.
MP isn't, because he's obvious as shit (sorry MP). Also, he's vouching for Dana, so she's out.
Gotrees has been very helpful. I'm giving him a pass because fuck it and welcome to The Syndicate.
Roxy voted for Made and then voted for Enrique and accused me of role checking. Roxy, I'm smart. Deal with it. Roxy's okay I think.
nijuujyugou is good. She has a tell. Unlike most tells, she has a GOOD tell, not a bad one. Looking forward to her harassing me at work over what that could be.
Dom's a smug arsehole. Good. Drives me nuts though.
juliets. She's right. I suck at reading her.
S~V~S. Annoying as shit. And civilian.
++++
If you want to lynch a Cyber dude, then it's a little tougher but I'm looking at the Snow Dog lynch:
Snow Dog lynch:
Snow Dog
6
zeek (16), Enrique (22), Gotrees (24), MovingPictures07 (27), Dana (28), Metalmarsh89 (29)
21%
Tell me a Cyber dude didn't vote there. However, zeek was killed by them, and Enrique was Dalek. MP I think is good and he is good with Dana. So:
Gotrees? Who the hell knows. But he's helpful.
MM? Dalek according to others. I think he's Cyber.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 4
I want to remind people why Roxy is voting for me.
Epignosis wrote:I see you suspect me as a Cyberman, Roxy.
I have been gunning for Enrique since the beginning. And I had Made pegged as Enrique's teammate for some time (since this post, if you want to know). A couple other posts reinforced that view, and even after I died, I still kept up. Unlike what you are accusing me of, I don't reveal all of my cards before the flop. I often bide my time on a given suspicion and see how things will play out. Now given that much, with Enrique's lynch and Made's lynch so close, I observed that Enrique voted quickly for Made, but Made refrained from voting for Enrique. A civilian with no BTSC would vote to save himself (except Ep1 ). Under the impression that they were teammates, that refusal to vote for Enrique made things clearer.
Let's assume your theory, that I am now a robot (well...I was a robot but never mind ) is true, and that I had info on Enrique and Made. This means that in three nights, the robot role checker would have had to have checked BOTH Made and Enrique, the latter of whom Ep1 happened to openly suspect- hard. My domain is language, not mathematics, but accounting for deaths and the fact that they wouldn't check their own crew, I estimate that the chance of both checks happening by Day 4 is 4.2%. Of course, that doesn't account for role blocks or the panoply of human interaction over the Internet. Finally, your theory means that I would have had to be willing to tip my hand to accomplish something that would happen without my intervention.
Which scenario is more likely?

Roxy wrote:Epi - you would have been ballsy enough to tip your hand and then use wifom for defense. You are a role checker or the role checker is on your team.
And why wouldn't they have checked Made or Enrique since both have been topic for discussion for some time now. That way they would know how to play it. You decided for a balls to the wall approach - which is pure Epi.
I'm ballsy enough to use WIFOM as my defense (I didn't. I used something called "math")- but I'm too scared to utter a statement for a lie detector? Bullshit.Roxy wrote:Epi - you could just say you aren't a robot for the lie detector, like zeek suggested but you didn't why?
Besides your refutation was not adequate - and if you are civ you would know "adequate " just doesn't cut it. give the lie detector something to check....
Chris check metalmarshs post he has been the only one lately working on them.
Who assigned specific roles? This is something Roxy has accused me of but has not produced a shred of evidence to show it. In fact, I asked her where I did:Roxy wrote:I am sorry to not have been here sooner we had a dinner to attend and it ran longer than I expected. DP took care of MPATHG for me so I could vote then relax some.
So much of Made is this role Enrique is this role - how can anyone act so certain as to assign specific roles before the lynch is even over? I guess I am not smart enough to be able to place people in particular roles this early in a game. I guess a rolechecker could though
That said I feel better about voting Made over Enrique just bc Made is acting differently this game. I am not sure I should trust Epi quite yet and after his replacing in I have no ideas where his allegience may lie. Ergo I don't want to trust a case made by someone I can't yet trust.
*votes Made*
She said I claimed a role for Enrique. I didn't. She never answered my question. I know why she didn't. She can't.Epignosis wrote:Oh? What role was that?Roxy wrote:I am voting Enrique. If he shows as the role Epi said then I will be voting Epi until either him or me is dead.
Said it again, but can't show it.Roxy wrote:Epi 2 put him into a role and did not stop there he put Made into a role too. Yet you are ignoring those facts.
This is how I know she has no faith in her case:
She never said what role I said he'd flip (because I didn't have that information), but:Roxy wrote:I am voting Enrique. If he shows as the role Epi said then I will be voting Epi until either him or me is dead.
That's a lack of conviction if I ever saw one. The case is stronger? What case? Hers? The one where I need role checker to kick ass? Sorry, I rock with a team or without one.Roxy wrote:I will prob vote epi
Mostly bc I feel the case is stronger than Metal or MP. Besides I really feel MP is civ this game. he has that indignant quality to his posts.

The Master: A renegade Time Lord and archenemy of The Doctor. As a child, he was forced to look into the Untempered Schism as all Time Lords did. However, he went insane as a result of this. The only thing he seeks is the death of The Doctor and the enslavement of the universe with himself as the ultimate ruler and ultimate Time Lord. He will stop at nothing to achieve these goals. Kills on odd nights. *Secrets* The first three attempts on his life will be blocked. Every night, he attempts to find Lucy Saxon, his wife/companion. If he finds her, they gain BTSC. Due to his strong ability as a hypnotist, once in the game he can force every night action that night to be randomly redirected to someone other than the original target. This is up to and including kill attempts.

Even though she said she knows how she survived... it's interesting to note now several facts:
1) Daisy and Dana were vouching for each other for quite some time, hard.

3) Metalmarsh, who is now revealed to be Lucy Saxon, was gunning after Dana hard, after abandoning it for a few cycles.
4) Guess who else said Dana was "bad, bad, bad"? Elo.

Chris voted for me when MM and I had two votes. I am of the opinion that The Master voted to keep his recruit from getting lynched.MovingPictures07 wrote:Wow, weird result.
Epig, good point regarding Elo. That would be a weird distancing vote.

So, yeah. Last I checked there aren't any protections this game.

You can change your vote, so if someone else started taking more votes than me, no biggie. Looking back over the votes, that Day when it was Made and Snow Dog taking votes, Enrique voted Snowy second. So it happens.Dom wrote:While this is certainly possible, Epig, why don't you think it was one of the later voters? I understand that you're looking at Chris being the Master because he survived 2 NKs, but do you think it would make sense for the Master to vote for you later rather than sooner given how close it was? I'm looking at Chris for the same reason as I think you are, but I am unsure why you think the master would vote so early for you.Epignosis wrote:Chris voted for me when MM and I had two votes. MM & I were the only people getting talked about that last Day. Nobody else took more than one vote. Plus, like I told Dom, votes can be changed. Voting order is less relevant given these points.keys56000000000 wrote:That's a pretty reasonable conclusion there, Epignosis. But I don't know about your logic re: Chris. So it was 2 - 2 and Chris made it 3 - 2? What if it was 2 - 1, wouldn't Chris want to make it 2 - 2? I agree that The Master probably did vote for you in an attempt to save his only teammate, but it could have been any of those voters. There was a lot of momentum against MM, The Master would have been anticipating his lynch.
All that said, Bass at vote 19 stands out to me.

I've been trying to maintain an open mind here, but the following posts are contradictory:
So let me get this straight: You voted for me because you didn't care who got lynched, just that you were tired of hearing about the lie detector business, and that I'm acting differently (without specifying how)? Now you speak for the group when I didn't even receive half the votes cast?
Then:
Chris wrote:I went for Epig without much reason other than I was tired of hearing about the lie detector shit, and he was acting differently enough for me to vote him just to end it. It wasn't a great reason, but I also didn't care who was lynched between the two of them.

I didn't directly address your question at all.
It has also been said that Made has been behaving differently than in other games. He seems cornered.
If I am suspicious of Made, it's because he's defended Enrique, who moves around more than Bill Clinton's underwear.

Roxy believes that I am a role checker or that I am on a team with a role checker, i.e., a Cyberman. I'm not, but she believes I am. Very well.Dom wrote:Epig, can you explain what you mean by this? She says that if you think I'm civilian then vote for her. She guarantees that after she's dead you will lynch me next.
Now then, if Roxy gets lynched and is civilian, does that provide credence for her claim that I am a role checker or on a team with one? No. For her claim against me to have any merit whatsoever, she has to be bad.
To summarize it:
Roxy: Epignosis has to be a role checker or on a team with a role checker. That's how he knew Enrique was bad. If anyone disagrees with me, then lynch me, and then you'll see that I'm right.

I don't think this reasoning is fair at all: I'm either aggressive and therefore bad (see Ep1) or not aggressive enough and therefore bad.juliets wrote:Epi I've been mostly focused on the whole LD portion of the case against you but since that is cleared up I need to think about your baddie hunting. The claim against you seems fair - I haven't seen you baddie hunt in your normal aggressive style. The style you used with me, even though I was good. What's going on with the baddie-hunting since you subbed back in? If you've answered this amidst all the other lie detector stuff I missed it.
I was adamant about Enrique getting lynched when I came back, and argued hard against him. Once Enrique was finally lynched (on Day 5), I've had to defend myself, and that's all I really got to do Day 6.

If Epig is with MP, that lynch could have been a choice of picking the lesser of the two evils with MP. Or it could have just been a matter of it ending early and screwing up any possible plans.
I highly suggest you all re-read MP with the mind that he could be The Master, and that Roxy and MM were both recruited.
It starts to look very interesting.
Then remember the people vouching for MP or intereacting with MP a lot. LC, Epig, SVS... all people I'd recruit if I was a recruiting Indy killer.
I'm not making a case that he is The Master. I need someone else's view on the possibility. Someone who is not LC, Epig, SVS, or Hedgie please.
I think, in order for MP to be a civ, he can only be one role. And it doesn't make much sense that people would be saying they think he's a civ based on anything role related.
Black Rock, you were targeted. What do you think of the possibility that MP is The Master?

Three reasons. First, he has a distinct tell when he's bad. Second, his instance that people lynch him? MP doesn't do gambits like that. He wants to prove something. I believe that. Third, I usually suck at decoding those puzzles on the front page, but I decoded three of them enough to cement the idea in my mind.Elohcin wrote:Why do you think MP is civ?Epignosis wrote:Agreed.Black Rock wrote:I just saw this on a reread.
