Thank you. I've been reading you this game and the majority of posts I've seen have been defensive on your behalf.

Not necessarily defending against suspicion but the majority of them have been referring to yourself, either to explain actions or to clarify why others are targeting you.

I don't know you well enough as a player to get a meta read from that, but from past experience posting styles like that are usually guilty.
I get defensive when i am needing to defend myself but that has not been the case most of this game.

Can you give me some examples of what you mean, especially since you seem to be charcterizing my whole game like this? i have really only needed to defend much since DH & Wilgy decided I killed Unfurl. I felt the need to explain my thoughts on Golden, but, for me, this has been a pretty non defensive game. In the past I have let people who know how to push my buttons push them, and I am trying to avoid that.

Am I think only person you have gotten a similar read like that on? Or just me?

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 3)

Like this one, Synonym, that you quoted in your first post:
S~V~S wrote:So after days of saying I was sincere, now I am being intentionally false?

I probably would have bought the frame theory if you had not made that one post after Epi died. I believed then, and still believe now, with all my heart, that a baddie made that post.

Linki, I will cross that bridge when I come to it. But I don't think I will ever come to it. I doubt you will be lynched, you talked your way out of it. Then tomorrow I will be NKed probably, and it will be another attempt to frame poor Golden. And if you are lynched, I dont think you will come up good.
I was replying to these two posts:
Golden wrote:
S~V~S wrote:He is trying to imply persecution of him when, hello, its a Mafia game. Discussion of and defending against suspicions is how the game is played.
And I will say this is the thing you've said which I find most difficult to see eye to eye with you on.

When I defend against cases made against me that I do not think stack up, and I defend against them day after day (literally a week at this point?) but those who allege those things choose to ignore every word I say and stand stubbornly against me, apparently I am 'implying persecution'.

I think there has been PLENTY of discussion of and defending against suspicions against me. That is me playing mafia, right?

But I also think there has been plenty of discussion AT me, continually, post after post, the number of times you have posted just to say the same thing again and again - that you have no interest in doing anything other than voting for me without any further thought - it actually does surprise me.

SVS, I want to know what your reaction will be in this game, in the event you get me lynched. I am not going to flip bad. When I do not flip bad, what will your reaction be?
Golden wrote:
S~V~S wrote:Now Golden's saying any argument that arrives at a conclusion that he could be bad is illogical and fallacious. [/u][/b]
I have never said or implied that. In fact, I have acknowledged that some of them are not.

I think yours is fallacious, because I have provided you with a whole lot to go on here but you have closed your mind to even listening to it.
I think reys is... whats the word when you take advantage of a situation that arises? I can't think of it right now. My brain says fortuitous, but thats wrong.
I think DH's is playing intentionally aloof, and that its insincere. Its hard to call it illogical or fallacious because it isn't based on a case against me, he just seems to be 'scared of me'.
I think epi's was deliberately obtuse.

BUT: I think boomslang, Dom, Lorab, and timmer have all expressed suspicion of me that I think is entirely genuine (despite the fact I think boomslang might be bad). I think BWT's suspicion on me was genuine. I don't think any of these people have demonstrated that their view of me is illogical or fallacious. I'm not a fan of Lorab saying that I'm a distraction and anti-civ despite being neutral, but I understand it.

Btw, as you might have noticed from being the super-expert on my civilian game - often the place where my spidey sense is the MOST well attuned is in figuring out whether those who go after me are being genuine or not.
IIRC, all of those posts you pulled I was replying to someone else who was questioning me. That's why I was talking about myself.

You appeared to have read somewhat out of context. Context ftw :nicenod:

Linki @ Synonym, again, out of context. If you go read them in context, not just in iso, they are part of a conversation. My part of the conversation. If you take Goldens posts from the same conversation, he is mostly talking about himself, too.

1. A civ DH would not do this to you unless he knew you were bad.
2. A baddie DH would do this to you for just about any reason he felt like.

I can't see one option being more likely, but at least your status would suggest likelihood in regards to him.
But he has done it to me as a civ. That was why I mentioned Gotham. I just wanted to make sure you were not implying that you thought he had info. Becasue he can't, but even if it were possible, DH would not do the whole "wink wink nudge nudge" info thing. This is a gut read, which i respect, since this is how I play as well. What about DrWilgy's post made you suspect shenanigans would be afoot?
As I was reading it, I could hear someone whistling the Lassie theme music or perhaps a faint string quartet and distant thunder. This was the swan song of a Wilgy who did not actually expect to be dead IMO. I am shocked beyond shit though that whoever switched it switched it to DH.

I would NOT expect that of Wilgy. I was like 99.9% sure that if Wilgy brought the shenanigans, he would have brought them to me. So the fact that it was DH leads me to think while Wilgy may have had manipulations, I doubt he switched the lynch.

I think I hurt his feelings.

I believe we have a difference of opinion about how a past game was played. When he started accusing me of being bad, and using my reaction & calling it combative, I referenced Gotham, a game on RM. At that point he started saying he hated Mafia & was quitting, and over the next few days made some more remarks like, "Make my next to the last game a good one" etc. But I am fairly sure I am the meanie here.

He seems to think my recollection of that game and his are different. Could be. But in any case, he & Rey seemed to think my reaction to accusation (which was a total freak out meltdown) meant I was bad, and in fact I was a civ. My point was not to denigrate DH, but to say that his read of me is in error, and has been so historically in another game, Gotham.

I am sorry if I have singlehandedly driven him from Mafia by recalling what happened in a game differently than he does (and as far as I am concerned, i am misrepresenting nothing, I recall what I recall). But when he starts flinging that old "sher's defensive/comabtive" etc. when she's bad, it's bullshit and when I see bullshit I call it bullshit.

I do respect his gut, and he has been 100% correct on me in past games. But he is not in this one.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 7)

I got all of my BBQing out of the day yesterday with the Socialists. I am sunburnt and a bit hungover, so i am skipping todays BBQs and staying home.

I plan to reread Turnip Head since he has so far skipped below my radar and I want to see whats the hub, bub. Plus Syn's weird plucked out of context case on me got my eye, so I am going to reread Russti/Syn.

Wilgys silencing seems a tad TOO convenient for him today, BUT it could be real, perhaps the silencer is civ/neut and feels he is good, and is protecting him in this way, I have done that as a civ silencer. Plus, as i said, I doubt that he would have switched a lynch to DH, regardless of alignment, so i think that was more likely to have been done TO him than BY him, perhaps to set him (or me or someone else, lol) up. So I won't be voting for Wilgy unless I have no choice.

While I will keep watching Bullz~ that one remark of his that someone else mentioned, about the gossips post being a waste or something to that effect, did sound pretty pissy, which i associate more with bad Bullz, BUT I often feel that way about gossip so  He started participating, not just watching, so i will backburner him.

Same for Sorsha, not sure if I think that bad Sorsha would have No U'ed me, plus my thoughts on her were totally based on the Golden thing and her posts on that. So also  there.

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 7)

I reread TH & Russ, not Syn yet.

Russ made 9 posts, most of them multiquote impressive looking affairs that did not really say much of anything, something I tend to associate with baddies. Like he was just making posts in order to make posts. Since he quoted an entire long ass post of Bullz just to say, "Thanks, I agree", I checked Bullz posts for a reply to him and did not find one. @Bullz, tell me, what was your opinion of Russti, and have you formed an opinion of Synonym? If you don't have one in either case, I can't blame you, I did not either until now. But someone who used one of my posts as a starting point for a pretty pointless post always gets noticed by me; I was curious if it was the same for you.

TH, on the other hand, is playing the blendy non commital game i would expect from a neutral TH who lacks Captain Obvious in his chatroom egging him on :p I reread him in isolation though, so need to read some in context to get a better feel for him. But he has had controversial opinions, and has been fairly blunt and to the point, like during the discussion of why someone who had a lynch switch would use it. I saw no really manipulative posts, or posts where baddie TH pulls out his "aw shucks, farmboy" thing that he can do when he's bad. I have not seen civ TH, either, but he isn't claiming to be a civ as far as I saw.

Having read him, I need to reread the case on him.

LOL, that does not sound very good. And oddly, I can say the same about you to some extent, but probably in a different way.

I have decided to backburner my previous supicions for reasons I said earlier. I am leaning towards Syn. Having reread Russti, I am not inspired with confidence that he was even neutral, much less civ. Synonym came in acting like BTS. While there IS civ bts, his hasty incomplete case felt faux to me.

You?

Linki @ Rico, I would either rezz someone that was a fun player if I were unrecruited, or not use my rezz at all. I would not rezz someone playing a strong game as it could bite me in the ass. While I could see civ reasons for denying being recruited, I would automatically assume the rezzed person had been recruited. Not necessarily by baddies, but not neutral.

Well, i don't feel comfortable about voting Wilgy or TH tbh. I do feel good about Rico & (ironically) DH. I have no reason not to trust the Keeper. Not sure why Wilgy piled on, or Devin, though.

What are your thoughts on Synonym?

I don't really think anything about him, as he has barely posted. He seems like a non-entity to me, and while I am fine with killing off low-posters in general, I am a little more concerned about finding the really dangerous bad guys at this point. Their powers scare me.
He does not interest me via being a low poster; he interests me as Russti was playing a pretty baddie game from the opening bell. And by his vote post being a justification for a vote. A civvie would actually care enought to pay attention, whereas a baddies motto is "Whatever so long as it isn't us".

Re: Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Night 11)

I am unable to vote as i am dead, and dead people don't vote outside of Florida.
