Re: Homestar Runner [Day 2]

I don't get the poem/blake references. & what's up with that correction vompatti? Seems like a little Freudian slip there. & bea: why did u change color mid-sentence? There's a bunch of weird stuff going on that I just don't understand. 1) Honestly, I googled "poems about death" and randomly picked Blake. But I felt the need to honor Bullz memory. :noble: 2) :ponder: I would say I agree, but in SFU hosted by the late Kate and SVS (the only game I've played with Vomps), he acted like he didn't care about the game at all haha. And it turned out he was a baddie (I think?). So for him to go back and actually correct himself makes me think he could be good? I know, my reasoning is odd for sure! 3) Green color is for off topic conversation. You can find a button that says OT in the reply section, and that will make your words green! Link...

Re: Homestar Runner [Day 2]

RIPifywg Kate and Bullz. In memory of Bullzy, my brother from another mother On Another's Sorrow by William Blake Can I see another's woe, And not be in sorrow too? Can I see another's grief, And not seek for kind relief? Can I see a falling tear, And not feel my sorrow's share? Can a father see his child Weep, nor be with sorrow filled? Can a mother sit and hear An infant groan, an infant fear? No, no! never can it be! Never, never can it be! And can He who smiles on all Hear the wren with sorrows small, Hear the small bird's grief and care, Hear the woes that infants bear -- And not sit beside the next, Pouring pity in their breast, And not sit the cradle near, Weeping tear on infant's tear? And not sit both night and day, Wiping all our tears away? Oh no! never can it be! Never, never can it be! He doth give his joy to all: He becomes an infant small, He becomes a man of woe, He doth feel the sorrow too. Think not thou canst sigh a sigh, And thy Maker is not by: Think not thou canst weep a tear, And thy Maker is not near. Oh He gives to us his joy, That our grief He may destroy: Till our grief is fled an gone He doth sit by us and moan. Linki - :haha: @BD...

Re: Homestar Runner [Night 1]

FYI Mr. Trogder, if you happen to have picked Medicine Man Hut, I just want to let you know that the F Man will leave a bad taste in your mouth. However, in this group, we also have a mongoose, a llama, a dog, an owl, a bird, and a bunny, all of which are better tasting then Mr. Matt. :fiesta: :fishslap: X...

Re: Homestar Runner [Night 1]

So, I originally planned to have each player PM me which hut they wish to hide in during the night and TROGDOR will PM me during the night which hut he wishes to burn. Then on spur of the moment this morning I decided it would be less difficult to track to do it this way. I realize seeing it in action now that it will work much better the other way round simple for mechanics purposes, even though it means more work for me. So, what we will do is finish this one out today as is, TROGDOR gets to PM me his hut to burn during the night so he can see exactly what you all are doing in the poll and can choose accordingly. During the next night I won't repeat this way of doing it. We will go to private PMs, which will allow for players to strategize in the thread but may allow for them to actually be lying and do something completely different behind the scenes. TROGDOR will be PMing me his hut of choice during the night like any other night power. I'd like to know what happens to those who don't vote. They get a free pass? And what about those that don't PM? In that scenario, I would advise the hostess to put those players names in twice, then randoming each name to a hut. X...

Re: Homestar Runner [Night 1]

Yay! Great result! Bih Whatsherface, bye Elo, I look forward to playing with you again! Anyone happen to have the day 1 lynch stats? TS is cool in that all its games have the polls stored in a separate thread, so if you go to the section of the forum this game is in you should see the Polls Thread there which has day 1 and day 0 in it. Thanks Bullz! For this information, I will not accuse you of being a baddie until Day 3! :hugs...

Re: Homestar Runner [Day 1]

I'm not finding anyone thats pinging me which means I may go to my default day 1 vote and vote for a low poster. I hate to have to do that but it feels better than randoming amongst all voters. Maybe something will break here soon though and I don't have to do that DON'T YOU DARE VOTE FOR TIMMER!!! :haha: (anyone not playing Into the Woods won't get this...move along......

Re: Homestar Runner [Day 1]

Other thoughts... re: Snowdog - Never played with Snowdog, so I don't know what to make of his so called "slip" with Bullz. However, if Snowdog is an experienced player, I would guess he (she?) would be a lot more careful then that if he/she were baddie. re: New players (Big Damn Hero) - As someone who made a colossal mistake in my first game (and on that note, welcome to the game DFaraday ((who was my first host ever!!)) ), I was graciously allowed to continue. At the time, people were all like "wow you messed up bad but went far", but seeing the game as I do now, I'm sure most players in that game were just being kind by letting me play far longer then I should have. And on that note, BigDamnHero could literally come in here and say "I am Mafia", and I would not vote for him Day 1. Anyone who does vote for him Day 1 gets a big ol' :eye: Link...

Re: Homestar Runner [Day 1]

Many of the theories being thrown out so far don't seem realistic to me. That said, I appreciate when players actually come out and participate in such discussion because it often leads to an unfortunate early civvie death and thus there are risks involved in doing so. That being said, the idea that we should lynch the 6th player or other such inferences are completely ridiculous, IMO, and I will vote for the first person to cast their vote based on something so trivial and illogical. Like you have never made any ridiculous or illogical theories. I've seen your lengthy posts on how things could be this way or that and then at the end you say something like, "but I could be wrong". At least I'm trying. :sigh: And I already said, if what I came up with was a bad theory, just tell me, kindly. I will respect your opinion. We civs are in this together. :) So you believe MP is a civvie? Not trying to say he's not, but rather, I have no idea. Or maybe you were just trying to butter him up after he struck down that idea of yours? :ponder...

Re: Homestar Runner [Day 1]

Hey all! That was a lot to catch up on! FYI, weekends are the worst for me (I'm a food server), and also being new to the site, I only know about half of the players here. Just trying to get a feel for everyone before I go post-crazy. Not exactly sure where we landed with "give info!" or "do not give info!", so I won't go into that. Obviously, given my one post before this, I do not agree with lynching castle voters (unless there's another reason to do so besides just voting for castle). Oh, and just so everyone knows, Bullz is always bad, even when he's good. :hugs: to Bullz...
