I don't understand why I is suspicious. F, explain?
Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
Who are these non-letters? Get out of here with your lack of alphabetness!
Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
I guess I could move. I don't have strong thoughts at this stage.

I also don't like how K parked their vote on G and just fucked off. I'll move there for now.
Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
He basically was saying India was suspicious because her response to me was, "Catch up with the thread" which ftr was pointless because I was completely caught up. I was simply stating the couple things that stood out to me. Right or wrong, that was how Juliet read to me at the time. Did I sum that up pretty accurately, Fox?

Haha, I mean "I" the letter, not myself. But cool. FWIW I'm less sure about both of you since you've both posted recently and I've caught up than I was when I was reading posts. I just thought C seemed a bit nervous and detached in tone, and yours seemed supatown but in a fake way. I don't feel remotely confident in either of those assessments currently.
Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
Oh, okay. I must have missed that. Entirely possible since I read things super quickly. I could vote "I" as well then. Either that or "K".Golf wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 10:58 pm He basically was saying India was suspicious because her response to me was, "Catch up with the thread" which ftr was pointless because I was completely caught up. We only have like 1 minute until EoD though, right?
Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
Nevermind, guess it's over?
Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
Upon reflection I think C's avatar made him/her seem more detached. Lol.

Close. Being honest I didn't know if you were caught up or not. It was irrelevant.Golf wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 10:58 pm He basically was saying India was suspicious because her response to me was, "Catch up with the thread" which ftr was pointless because I was completely caught up. India's interaction with you G was completely disgenuine. India's reaction to me calling that disgenuine was also disgenuine and did not stem from a positive Civ mindset.

Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
You suspect me of coaching, as I understand it. I was not doing so, as is clear from the context. Your suspicion is founded on an incomplete perspective of my post.Foxtrot wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 9:32 pm"Was It genuine or not?" is the core of each mafia question. India you werent genuine there. You arent genuine in your response to me. Explaining what you do when asked is part of the game.
Calling my line of suspicion which is "you were not genuine" baseless is a dumb argument. How is it baseless?
When I see suspicion directed my way, I respond if I think it deserves response. But you took a target sentence 'You should catch up' which I firmly believe you would have called out in any context as a scumtell, and directed suspicion at that.
It is not a scumtell. It is a perfectly valid sentence that, in context, was telling Golf that his argument was flawed.
I consider arguments like this to be foolish, and easy to exploit to spur mislynches. I would have voted for you if it weren't for Hanlon's razor. And, well, the fear that you will take my vote as a 'no u' and enter recursive fallacious suspicion.

I fell asleep.
Did anyone peep the end of day phase poll with their eyeballs who can tell me what it looked like? Was it still a tie or did Kilo receive a majority of votes?

Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
It appears that I missed an entire page before posting that.
Rest in peace, K. Those who lynched you are probably scum. I see nothing in your posts worth the animosity.

Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
[mention]Foxtrot[/mention] Would my alignment depend on the alignment of Golf?
Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
So you would not find it suspicious if Kilo had voted for you because he was "not leaving it up to chance" but then turned around and questioned the sincerity and reasoning of someone else voting for you, but left his vote parked on you even so? That was what led me to vote Kilo.

Kilo received the majority. I don't know what the vote counts were, but he had four maybe? I had 2 and I think Charlie had 2, a couple others had one. I don't remember who all though. India had 1.

Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
That is a weird question to ask. You know if you are scum or not, just like I know I am not scum. And if there are not flips, what impact does that question have? Unless it makes a difference for how you vote as far as whether or not to be in favor of flips. Why does this question even matter, what is your angle?

Number of times you mentioned "K" or "Kilo" prior to the deadline: zero
If you felt this way, why did you wait until after the lynch had been finalized to voice it?

Good luck whichever team I was on. Beat that other team!
Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
Exactly this. The outcome surprised me, as I was not here for it. Kilo had made zero impression on me. I looked at Kilo posts, and I found nothing bad of note. In a game where everyone had legitimate suspicions, this lynch was too easy. I very much doubt it was scum.

Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
Okay cool. There were a couple things I was going to comment on then.
[mention]India[/mention] were you not around for any of the time Kilo was getting votes? I don't think you missed all of it because Bravo expressed suspicion of Kilo long before EOD, and I followed that. If you had some reason to object to those suspicions, or some specific reason to think Kilo was town, you could have said something. And what did you mean by this sentence: "In a game where everyone had legitimate suspicions, this lynch was too easy." ? Do you mean hypothetically if there were legitimate suspicions, or do you believe there were actually more legitimate suspicions that were better options for this day 1? Because I think, at least for Bravo and me (not sure about the other 2? who voted there), the Kilo suspicion was a legitimate enough one.
[mention]Foxtrot[/mention], I don't get why you so strongly suspect(ed) India. Is there more to your suspicion than the bit about telling Golf to catch up? Because that's really weak. You haven't answered yet whether your suspicion of India is entirely dependent on their being buddies with Golf or not, so I would like to second that question. Do you have any other reasons to suspect either of them independently of each other?

Re: Phenon: Origins Mafia [Day 1]
I may have missed any significant suspicion on Kilo. I was using my phone at the time, which leaves me prone to skim the posts. I do not recall any discussion about Kilo. Certainly do not remember any objections to the lynch, which is key.Charlie wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2017 8:51 pm @India were you not around for any of the time Kilo was getting votes? Looking at Kilo's ISO, I get the feeling that they were an easy target who fell through the cracks.
I believe that J was a better option, for that is where my vote was. F seemed to think that I was a better option. But nobody heeded our arguments, and the majority voted with no fuss. It bothers me.
And now we cannot spell dick.

Day 2
“Time’s up.” The voice said. In that instant the lights flashed and when they returned not but a few seconds later. India was gone. Disintegrated by the looks, his clothes in a heap on the floor. They checked the pockets in case he had anything on him, what they found was surprising. A note he had snagged off of another scientist earlier detailing about a mission to steal their research. They all looked to Echo now as it appears he had been foiled.
INDIA HAS DIED IN THE NIGHT
ECHO HAS BEEN REVEALED AS A DISGUISER
Day 2 ends in 48 hours

Poll doesn't work on my phone. Voting Echo whenever it lets me.
This provides a great solving opportunity. Echo is the disguiser and his teammates may be identifiable in his posts (including or not including Kilo) It'll be muddier than usual perhaps given the no flip dynamic. I'll take a look a bit later.
