Thanks.

So this thread is only accessible by the four of us, then? Sweet. I have played mafia in the past, and I've got a good idea of what I'm doing so worry not about me. I look forward to playing with you guys.

Slooneei rounded up a bunch of mafia fanatics on Habbo Hotel (awkward, I know) and I've played and hosted quite a few games over there in the years since. The games were never as serious or elaborate as they are here, though. There was a lot of bickering among a few people and it's recently become a bit of a bore, which is why I've come here. I definitely have some adjusting to do.

Yup, we take mafia kinda serious here. But at the same time, respect and fun are always emphasized.

Passionate is probably a better word than serious though. I'm actually not very good at taking things seriously most of the time. :goofp:

We have some bickering here too but for the most part it doesn't get too out of control.

Closed set-ups are kinda new here, hopefully this game goes better than the last heist game where the Mafia team conceded to defeat on day 3.

Civilians have been killing it in these Heist games lately.

On the other hand, mafia has been steamrolling the civilians in the Side Missions (the 19 or fewer player games).

I've done a few closed setups in the past. I think it makes for some really good strategy down the line. :feb:

sig usually gets lynched early, but that's a trend that is grinding to a halt. People are starting to consider his early demises and leave him be. He's not the easy lynch he once was. He is also unpredictable in terms of whom he will suspect, and once he becomes attached to an idea, it's hard to get him to shake it.

However, as I said, that's my initial thinking. Our first objective is to decide how we would like to approach the opening lynch.

I have always wanted to try having the entire team bandwagon a player Day 1, but nobody ever wants to go for it. :p

I see why people might be a bit cautious. I've seen mafia teams bandwagon on day 1 and most times it's not worked very well and the entire mafia team has been outed relatively quickly.

I'm just worried that by killing sig it may come back to bite me, since he's already made it clear that he's 'holding a grudge'. I get that he's joking around, but if people think I took him seriously I could be lynched Day 2.

Not sure how much of a threat sig would be. Even if he does continue his suspicion of you. You have the noob sympathy card, sometimes that's not worth much around here though. :p

But if you guys want to off sig that's fine.

I definitely don't want to play the noob too much. At this point sig doesn't have anything on me worth a vote, but that could change if he insists enough. I feel like at this point whether we kill sig or not I'm going to be in trouble.

I wonder if G-Man's role works the same way mine does, or if its just limited to lynches. I think if it's the same then there's only 2 power roles, one for mafia and one for town. What to do...

Our games are usually pretty inventive. I don't think there are any rules that anyone follows. Heist games are made to be pretty basic with fewer frills than the bigger games though.

My first thought was that he's cop or doctor but that lynch survival might be his only power.

I'd feel good killing him tonight though. Just incase he does check one of us.

I don't think it would be a bad idea. I don't have a specific night kill in mind at the moment, but I think G-Man would be a better choice than sig based on the possibility that G-Man could have some extra powers. We'd find out if his role is the same as mine, too, which is important.

You are new here. As long as you don't do something ridiculous or a cop doesn't check you, you should be fine. Keep doing what you're doing.

From our handy-dandy guidelines:
MovingPictures07 wrote:Heists
- Consist of 13 or fewer players
- Cycles are made up of 48 hour Day Phases and 24 hour Night Phases
- They have no more than three Power Roles
No more than three power roles. My understanding is that a kill doesn't count. So we have the auto-protect, and G-Man apparently had one. If the hosts went maxed out, there is one more civilian power role. It could be a role check (cop) or protector (doc) or something else.

Keep your power to yourself. No one needs to know about it. We need to decide on a kill.
I would suggest G-Man for confirmations sake. Or sig as an alternative.

Killing G-Man informs the civilians that his suspicions were genuine. His current status doesn't lean good or bad. He'll be a question mark tomorrow.

I would be in most favor of killing sig or Sloonei. It's bland, but it makes Bullzeye look worse. If he gets lynched, the idea that we are teammates is dissolved. Sometimes the vanilla strategy is the best,

Sloonei would definitely not be a bad idea. He is a very good scumhunter and would likely find me out sooner rather than later.

Sweet.

I doubt there's a tracking power in this game, but just in case there is I'll do the kill since I think I'd be less likely to be visited at this point.

All right. Go ahead and send a Private message to the hosts saying you will kill Sloonei.

You all may bold your night kill target in this thread if you like.

Something like Metalmarsh89 will Nightkill Golden is sufficient.
