"the great thing about Plato is that he had no doctrines."

Trees have no doctrines. Turnips are singularly broad minded.

I wrote a short song last year about the self-absorption of today's youth. Maybe I'll record it and share.

Seriously, 217 selfies on Instagram? :disappoint:

1. Is that for real your voice? You didn't just record some famous Finnish actor, right?

2. If so, it's much deeper than I thought!

3. Did you say "American" a couple of times? Not to be ethnocentric.

What a lovely language.. Despite being quite flat in intonation, there's a real music to it.

1. Yes, it is.

2. I've always thought it's not nearly as deep as I'd like it to be.

3. Yes, I did. Rough translation of the text follows:

Maps before Columbus tell us the embarrassing and confusing fact that travel across the ocean to South America, for example, was known well before the "discovery of America". What they tell us at school is based on medieval rumours. At that time maps depicted the known world in the middle, and in the margins they painted sea monsters and hurricanes to warn us of regions we could not know anything about. On the other hand it is somewhat tragic to live in the present, when maps have hardly any white spots on them.
When the horse panics or something goes wrong, remain calm and reassure the horse.

I also dislike Spanish. It sounds extremely dirty for some reason. I'm also not a fan of the Portuguese they speak in Brazil for the same reason.

Bump.

And I can't listen to my voice on recording; I hate listening to myself and seeing pictures of myself. It's gotten a bit more tolerable in recent years, but I still prefer not to.
