Okay junior. Don't come in here and try to shit all over my work without explaining why all of a sudden you have such a great town read on him that you want to completely take him off the table. Explain why.
I never said he's town but I'm fairly certain he's not mafia. Refer to my post where I said I will address this later on. That doesn't mean we should ignore him, but I'm less worried about him for now. He ISNT off the table yet for me.

I'm much more sure of Colin being scum as I've mentioned him with more certainty than his buddies.

This post is yucky.

I agree Jack.

I do wonder why wolbre is so waffly on the Soonster.

If Kyle was already there then I don't quite object to the strategy as strongly as I otherwise would. A 2-person train is not nothing in this poll, even with <10 minutes to go. Regardless, I am not a big fan of this vote. @ColinIsCool if you were to have ranked the three main wagons (nova, sig, epi) in order of preference at the time of this vote, how would that list have looked?
my vote came later i think, i voted near the end of the phase
Nope, yours was well earlier.

3) Baddies saw Epi's performance in GoC and are intimidated by him generally
4) Baddies just want to screw with us
5) Baddies don't know what is up

Anyone want to rank these theories?
I don't really want to rank them, that seems like pointless busy work to me. 6) Golden killed Epi and wants to control the narrative that ensues
This is how I'm feeling too.
Having just played a game where I faced accusations of “controlling the narrative” more than a few times: no.

That said I have some concerns about Golden that I want to flesh out when I have the energy for it.
I read GoC and had you solidly town the entire time. This is different.

To expound on Sloonei, I think his posts from Day 1 suggest he's treading lightly around Golden, a player who is dangerous when he's on either alignment. Golden voted for Sloonei a few times so far this game, Sloonei responded to those votes. But Sloonei's only other mentions of Golden were talking to other players who suspected Golden.

If Sloonei is civilian, I don't see reason for him to behave this way with Golden, nor would I expect him to. And if he does have concerns, I'd like to hear them, because I don't see evidence of these concerns yet.

Oooh, I almost forgot, Sloonei also disagreed with Long Con's and my unwillingness to play Golden's game.

I dunno, there's a consistent distraction from Golden that Sloonei's putting up.

hi quin, welcome to greece

is there an epi-voter in particular that you think would want epi out day one but wouldn't be willing to even try waiting til day 2 to try and lynch him again?

i think it's reasonable to think that if epi was killed by the mafia then the mafia probably didn't think his lynch was actually very likely and that they'd have to kill him eventually, that much makes sense, but why would that point to an epi voter, and more importantly, which epi voter

i've read close to nothing. i probably won't be able to catch up until i start going through ISO's which i don't see myself doing any time soon.

so to your question, i have no idea. i really just wanted to throw a theory out there. it'd point to an epi voter because my theory works best if epi was the lynch they were trying to push yesterday.

Mild possibility: Epignosis could have been the target of a redirect of some sort, and not the original target, kinda like Scotty playing darts. He missed the board entirely and nailed the poor bartender instead, but it all worked out because the bartender was working too many hours and needed the time off.

Sloonei
Colin
LC
Luna (changed read for me)

These four read quite team-compatible to me. Lots of links between their behaviours that could make sense. I’ll elaborate when I get time but generally pressed for time on long explanations right now - but anyone else who feels like grabbing the ball, I think this is a good set of four to examine in the collective.

WORST, this is the worst, seriously you are so bad, Golden already suspects me and voted for me so let's ask the crowd what the purpose of your post here REALLY is
What's the purpose of my post?
Why, I'll share if you ask.
Until recently I had a neutral read on you. Maybe slightly bad, but neutral.
Then you repeated your desire to stay out of the sig/Dom interaction. That's the exact same thing you repeated ad nauseum in GOC about Epi and myself when you were bad.
Enh. Not a tell, more like a true reflections of my feelings based on past experience. I still think you're bad.
Vague. Vague. Vague.
Vague-ity vague.

first of all, I placed a vote in the first 24 hrs of Day 1 on Turnip Head. I overestimated how much time I had on Tuesday and didn't have any time at all, between work, going to the airport, flying out, etc. I hate the game of "what you have done" past the event because honestly, I don't know what I would have done but since I townread sig and now after reviewing nova....he seems to be more in line with civ nova I saw on NF and Epi was acting like Epi does on Day 1. He always has to do something unusual, and his final vote on me and parking his ass with the discord argument seemed like such an Epi thing to do. I'm pretty sure he was taking notes of how every person reacted to that and would have come in Day 2 with a fresh pair of eyes. I can't say I would have voted for any of them, but I suppose out of the three it may have been nova because it's easy to fake activity after being called out for being lurker mode as scum and active as town.

second of all, please review MK. my vote landed on speedchuck who only JJJ voted with me on, when I could have voted for Simon and saved myself as the second wagon. Even though I was suspicious of Simon (and he was scum), speed kind of scumslipped and when a scum scumslips, you go after the player you're 100% sure is scum rather than someone you're 85% sure of.

What happens if all hellenic league members side with Persía? Wouldn't it unbalance the game or to put much clearer wouldn't it break it.

Yeah very strange that she took a post in which I was giving her credit and got angry about it. Doubt a scum would do that right? Scum would just be happy to have gotten the town points and let that one go through to the keeper?

Thoughts from catching up:
- Stop saying Mac is tunneling
- voting off-wagon d1 doesn't concern me much, but I haven't read Colin's post in context yet
- wolbre04 we have 36 hours to go why are you worried about a single vote on you

OK so like, some random case-ish but not actually case thoughts on my proposed solution to the game.

I'm looking forward to sloonei saying his stuff on me because I always get a better read of how genuine people are being when they are talking about their perceptions of me. In any event, I agree entirely with Marmot that sloonei has been a little cautious in his reaction to my suspicion, almost like he's dodging dealing with me. I don't like.

There's quite a few things I don't like about the sloonster actually - he feels right off the mark, and I don't think it's just 'busy'. I think his 'energy' to 'content' ratio is off kilter. I really dislike his Nova vote. So much of this is gut but my gut is screaming.

Sloonei's voted for Colin in a way that feels out of context. Colin voted for Lunalee in a way that felt meaningless. LC has soft defended Colin and Sloonei. Lunalee seems to be tunneling on me which I don't object to so much in principle except it feels like there's not much there for how sustained it is. The suspicion started just after I called out LC, having already called out Sloonei. If Luna is bad, she's first time bad, and this is the kind of subtle misstep I could see someone making in their first time out. Nothing big, just a little timing. Basically I'm proposing a good chunk of distancing plus a good bit of whatever the opposite of distancing is.

Besides that, the overall interactions between the lot don't fill me with much confidence. There's plenty in there (like the soft defences), but even little interactions like this make me tingle a bit:

All games become broken at some point as they unfold. You could just as easily make that comment if they all side with one of the other factions.

That being said. Heaps civvie sounding complaint.

Agreed. At first it pinged me hard, but then I remembered that the leaders have BTSC with the League, and obvi mafia has BTSC with each other, so mafia would've just passed this thought along to the League rather than in the thread.

It's pretty much my scumteam too. I feel like Marmot could be distancing Sloonei as a result of my lumping them together.

There are quite a few players reading the scum team similarly and that feels good.

Would be happiest with a Sloonei or Colin lynch today.

I like it in isolation but it contrasts heavily with what Golden was saying on day 1 about how he plays the game. Perhaps he was bullshitting about his preference to identify town and then POE hmmm? Just saying what he needed to to shake a suspicion?

Why? You don't think I can catch an entire team on d2? I've done it before. I've also seen entire scum teams caught on day 1 (I miss manu).

We haven't played a tonne together before, but welcome to What I Do. I believe in 'theory of the game'. A scum read is useless if you look around and realise a person has no team compatablities. Look around and find team-indicative behaviour, and you up your chances of having found something useful.

Don't play the idea, play the specific team I'm proposing and underlying assumptions I'm making.

Remove my PoE and I'm left finding a team amongst about 9 or 10 instead of 21.

I have many methods. Who knows what I'll use at any given point.

PS I could be really mistaken but I really don't think Marmot is bad. All of his posts remind me of good Marmot, and he uses his 'I do not kill Epi on day 1' meta a lot and it has always been true to date... again, you will take this as a grain of salt because a meta is made to be used, but I've been on the inside of a team with Marmot when he explained why he has this view and I don't think it's meta-building... I think it's a genuine rule he self-imposes.
