These happen to be my top two suspects so I’m not gonna throw a fit.
Why?
Nothing has changed.

Colin’s abstaining thingie. For you, gut and then Mac made a convincing case but then my brain melted and I don’t remember it.

If I absolutely have to be the determining vote, I’ll let you know which of you I will pick.....by voting right before the deadline. ;)
I responded to Mac's case here and no one bothered to look at it.

I’ve seen nothing that suggests that. Haven’t checked Mac’s case to see if that would jive.

How do you play neutral? Say objectives like survivor, side chooser, or any objective that requires you to survive long enough to do a thing.

Ew.

[VOTE: M+7] aubergine
Explain.
You're apologizing and distancing from a D1 civ lynch. It was D1, the odds were always that it would be a civ. That's how the game works. Why would you feel guilty about that?
I'm not distancing. At all. That's the opposite of what I'm doing; I take full responsibility for my sig vote. Of course I regret it. Why wouldn't I feel guilty about mislynching a fellow townie?
"I voted him, but only because I didn't believe in myself" (paraphrased) - aka you let yourself get pushed into a Sig vote by the thread. Convenient way of deflecting blame onto others without having to specifically name anybody.

And again because it's D1. Can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. (Unless it's JaggedJimmyJay's heist game and speedchuck and I are scummates :sigh:)
Sloonei

And I remain thus far unconvinced by other cases.
This doesn't particularly alarm me coming from MP. He does not hide his emotions in games and isn't afraid to get swept up in momentum or impulsive voting. He'll follow voters if he feels like they're onto something, and then changes his mind a thousand times and feels bad if he's wrong.
What is your experience playing with him?
Don't have any strong recollections. Idk if we've ever played together in a real game. (Realms/Syndicate crossover doesn't count since I was killed n1)

I don't know. It's been ages since I drew a neutral role. I'd probably hang back a bit more than I normally do.

I do not want this to be taken as me hinting that my strategy has been to deliberately hang back in this game. It has not been. I just haven't been here for most of the action in this game and as a result am drowning in unread posts and phantom suspicions against me.

Ugh, I just have to respond to this. I feel like a giant egghead for the sig mislynch. In GoC, Sloonei caught a lot of heat and end up mislynched because his activity level was lower than normal.

(Thankfully it was his first life so he lived to endgame still)

Unfortunately, it'll have to be mostly in like 72 hours because I'm going to need to go into lurk mode (at least for my standards) until then as much as I hate to.

Okay, I hate to come in and run, but I really need to restrict myself from the site for a while so I can log in some unholy hours this weekend. RL is way more pressing than this right now. Sorry. I'll be pretty much a ghost until Monday or Tuesday; it is what it is.

I'm voting Colin I suppose, only because: (1) I'd most prefer LC (still a strong scum read despite my doubts) but he has only one vote so my vote is meaningless there; (2) it doesn't really matter to me one way or the other at this moment (I think both wagons are equally sensible, which is to say they're "moderate" scum reads); (3) Sloonei at least is in here right now trying, Colin has vanished completely; (4) I trust more players on the Colin wagon than the Sloonei wagon (except for Golden, sorry Golden). It would have been nice to do some actual digging into other players than the two probably most destined for lynch today (Colin and Sloonei), but time is a bitch.

M Plus 7 wrote: Thu Apr 26, 2018 9:37 am Oh, I see Sloonei responded. I'll have to mull over this, but the first thing I noticed is the use of strong language in it, which I think is atypical for Sloonei. I've seen Sloonei curse less than most of the players on this site.
I swear when people bring bogus accusations against me because that shit's annoying.
As far as Sloonei, I have had my own feelings of Sloonei playing a timid and calculated game since the latter half of Day 1 or so, but I wasn't really sure so I was reserving any strong opinion of him for the time being; Mac's case illustrates some pretty compelling points. Further, I feel like Sloonei's response to the case was very uncharacteristic, and it makes the fact that he dropped some over-the-top language in there seem a bit forced and insincere. I also feel like town Sloonei would be working harder to identify scum instead of defend himself, and I'm not seeing that either.
I refer you to the above statement for my strong language. It may also be relevant that I've had an unusually aggravating week at work, and my response to Mac came on the heels of a particularly bad day. I might have just been grumpy.

This may also be a factor in my lower-than-usual participation. I've been busy, and when I've not been busy I've been stressed out. It's not conducive to a productive mafia game from me. Factor in that this is one of the busiest game threads I've seen in a long time and I'm very far out of the loop in this game right now. I agree with you that I could be doing more to hunt bad guys. I've allowed myself to get overwhelmed by the votes against me because they aggravate me and I'm starting to think there's something legit to the curse of me playing in Jay games. I've literally been mislynched in every one of his games that I've played in and it doesn't seem to matter what I do. The only other time I've been mislynched on the Syndicate was a couple weeks ago in the GoC, and that barely even counted because I didn't actually die.

Now having said all of this, I can't promise any improved gameplay for a while. I work tonight, then I'm going away for the weekend and will be on a mountain for most of the day tomorrow #marmoting, then back to a busy work week after that. I'll contribute what I can, but I'm not going to be able to be Supertown Sloonei until around Day 4 or 5, and that's only if you guys don't get rid of me earlier than that.

I’ve seen nothing that suggests that. Haven’t checked Mac’s case to see if that would jive.
I believe it was either Mac or wolbre or some combination of the two

My reads haven't really developed beyond the early Day 1 stage. I've felt good about you, dunya, and mac for a while. Marmot seems a bit more focused early on than I'm accustomed to, which I like. Golden is a player I've struggled with but I'm leaning town on him, though I've probably only read about 20% of his content in this game. This is the most active I've ever seen Dom in a game and on the strength of that alone, I like him.

Colin is the closest thing I have to a real suspect, and now my vote is locked on him if I want to survive anyway. I might look at lunalee next, but she's an easy target. Jack and Turnip Head both seem to be playing extremely loose and I'm not sure what to make of that.

That's all I've really got in the way of defined reads at the moment. Everything else is a big blur of uncertainty.

I need to leave soon as well.

I hope that all the Sloonei voters are coming from a similar perspective.
I am not making a claim of any alignment here, but why would hou assume that an indie sloonei is going to side with the Persians?
If you don't join them, they will kill you for not joining them... which is why you will join them.
