Please note: I am extending this night period an extra hour, so it will last until roughly 9:01PM EST. This is because I will be out for a few hours after work tomorrow, so I'm not even sure I'll be home by then, but I will make sure the post goes up tomorrow night. I'll try to get the times back to something more normal soon, if I can.
I am having mixed feelings about this one... Dex, I am very sorry for lynching you as a civ! I, too, may never vote for you again! The other side of that is this... Steinman is one f****d up dude!!!
That is all
"Modular forms and elliptic curves! Infinite fire revolving around infinite parallels fractals of infinite reality, each cascading, gliding in an infinite wheel. Tell me the true nature of my reality!"
RIP dex. Wow, you really took on the role. I agree. Scary description for sure, but still sadly civ. We had a big win early on with BWT, but gotta get our heads in the game again.

You're wrong about me. Just like anyone else still insisting I'm bad. There has never been anything solid against me other than two votes and that alone means nothing.

Not sure I fully understand the case against you. Besides your votes I mean. I noticed before I voted that Bea was getting a lot of attention already. I'll have to go back and read all that because I don't understand it.
Alright let's get some heroin and some ice cream, and then we definitely have to go.

That was meant to be in the other thread where people were talking about grass and pipes and cocaine. Disregard.

RIP Dex I'm sorry I was so wrong about you. I wish you had helped us even just a tiny bit...
Epi, to answer your query I still don't think the case against Bullz is sound. We've been lynching 'B' players and Aces voters for days without any success, and I think continuing to try it is a poor strategy at this point. What do you think of the other things that have been happening in the thread, such as bea/indiglo and the discussions around Dom and INH?

There is definitely something afoot with at least one of those situations, Russti!
The question is, which one? Dom has pinged me before, I think, but I'd have to read back to remember exactly what he said. No doubt INH is acting weird, but that may be normal for him. And a Freudian slip is in large part what got BWT lynched on back on Day 2, so if bea really made 2 there it may be worth following. On the other hand, if she is good it looks pretty clear that indiglo isn't, pushing so hard for her.
I'm not really sure how to read either situation! I don't mean to be anti-Semantic, but I don't want to over analyze what (end up being) innocuous statements -- but then how to tell them apart is the icky/sticky/tricky part.

I pinged you when I said we should lynch Bullz over Bea a few days ago... if I recall correctly you said you weren't suspicious of me because Bea turned civ. .
and you think that just because indiglo pushes for Bea, if Bea is good, Indi must be bad?
That's pretty crap logic.

Oh, right. That's what it was. Thanks for the reminder.
I never claimed to be using logic about bea/indi. I you're absolutely right that indi could be wrong twice about the same person. I just think that without some kind of certainty that the player you're accusing is not on your team, most people would hesitate to go after the same player twice in a row. I know I would, anyway. And indi has been extremely vociferous this time. So I very much doubt they're the same alignment.
I don't expect you, Nev, or Epi to agree, since you follow only logical arguments, but it's running through my mind so I thought I'd share for others' sake.
After much digging and searching, Jack had stumbled upon a way to break Ryan's barricade: a bomb. Kyburz's secret creation would be perfect for the job... hopefully. He picked it up and stole it.
"Does it look like it's a real bomb? It better. You got to put it on the core past Geothermal Control, and we'll see if these needlenoses knew what the hell they were talking about."
"Now you see me..." The Houdini Splicer teleported.
"Now you don't!"
indiglo was frustrated. She was being irritated by this Splicer and wanted to just get home for the night to her apartment in Mercury Suites. "Come on, let me go in peace. You're annoying me."
But the Houdini Splicer wasn't done. "You know, you'd make a great ice sculpture, you would!" Before indiglo could react, her body was frozen solid. The Splicer touched the ice, cracking it, and then disappeared, laughing.
"I'm no engineer, but if I read these plans right, you can channel that magma flow using the redirect valve. It'll boil off that water right quick, and you'll be able to reach the core." Atlas advised. "But Ryan's sure to take notice—might want to set up a perimeter, just to be certain."
Jack began to turn the magma release valve.
Ryan indeed took quick notice. He sent out Splicers. "Will these creatures kill you? Even I don't know. As you drag me closer to the abyss, you pull yourself right along with me. I offer you a quick death, parasite. It will be preferable to what you will learn if you win."
Jack finished off the Splicers and finally completed releasing the magma. "Are they all dead? Hope so. Best be heading on to the core."
Jack called the elevator to the core.
"So far away from your family, from your friends, from everything you ever loved. But, for some reason you like it here. You feel something you can't quite put your finger on. Think about it for a second and maybe the word will come to you: nostalgia."
Jack used the core lift control, getting ever closer to his destination.
"What did Atlas offer you? A piece of my plundered city? Mark my words: your only reward will be a knife in the back."
Jack placed the bomb in the core.
"Christ, what a racket you're making down there. If you've surged the core, then there's only one more task to be done. Head on back to Ryan's gate and throw the circuit breaker. That'll let you right into his place."
Jack arrived back at Ryan's office and overloaded the circuit breaker. The bomb worked!
"In the end, all that matters to me... is me. And all that matters to you... is you. It is the nature of things." Ryan awaited the inevitable.
"Even in the book of lies, sometimes you find truth. There is indeed a season for all things. And now that I see you flesh-to-flesh and blood-to-blood, I know I cannot raise my hand against you. But know this: you are my greatest disappointment.
Does your master hear me? Atlas!!? You can kill me, but you will never have my city!! My strength is not in steel and fire! That is what the parasites will never understand. A season for all things: a time to live, and a time to die. A time to build, and a time... TO DESTROY!!!!!!!"
The entire building began to rumble. "Come now, my child. There is one final thing to discuss."
"What?! Ryan's set the core to self-destruct! This is different than what you did, he's got a mind to take down the whole damned city! Get in there and whack the chump before the whole joint blows!"
Jack hurried up the stairs and crawled through the vent. He had to get into Ryan's office somehow. He came upon a room with a desk, cluttered with hundreds of post-it notes. The whiteboard on the wall behind the desk had pictures of six individuals on it and red lines connecting them. A giant "Would you kindly?" was written in blood across the wall. Jack found two audio diaries on the desk. He listened to them, and then left the room and continued through the door into the main portion of Ryan's office.
The first three players to vote for themselves after this post will receive plasmids.
These will be the last plasmids I am giving out. If you want more after this, you'll only be able to acquire them through looting. If you're reading this thinking you've missed out, well, I suppose you have.

I didn't really realize that Indi pushed for Bea the first time. But still, I was just pointing out how it's not really a solid argument that Indi MUST be bad.
