I'm starting to wonder about you.
Because you have been wishy washy about everything all game and not really invested in finding baddies. Then out of no where you really want to lynch Vomps.
Oh I'm sorry. Who posted this then:
Canucklehead wrote:I didn't say I didn't find it suspicious, I said the case didn't stick in my head. Which is true. Nothing is sticking in me head right now, because my entire brain is utterly saturated with crippling anxiety and fear of failure because I have a career-defining series of examinations beginning in two weeks.Long Con wrote:You don't find it suspicious that Epignosis would ignore what he knows about MM and BR and instead go for the easy lynch of Metalmarsh? What he knew should have led him to believe Metalmarsh was being framed, except the thing is, Epig was doing the framing. Not to mention, the italicized portion sounds suspiciously like what LizKeen heard through the ear tubes, AND it sounds like something Epig would say. Cocky and believing people can be easily led.Canucklehead wrote:Yes, that is all I have to say about Epi right now. None of the cases brought against him have stuck in my mind enough for me to comment on them.Long Con wrote:That's all you have to say about Epig? What about other cases that have been made against him?Canucklehead wrote:I thought Epi's case on LK was....not convincing, but I'm not sure why a bad Epi would push so hard against a player so early....considering a vote there.
LC is LC and I have no particular reason to think he's bad right now, but I don't know if I've ever read LC correctly. I'm not voting there unless something really compelling comes up.
I want to understand why no one else can see this. Is it that they don't believe that Epig knew that it was VERY unlikely that Metalmarsh would kill BR on Night one for the third or fourth time in recent history? I did quote something in my original case that clearly indicated that Epig was involved - Donner Mafia, Epig tells MM that he killed him for BR. And believe me when I say that I know every detail of this subject due to BR being my wife. I know what happened, what Epig knows, how MM felt about it. This is the truth, I just need enough people to see it and understand what it means.
But now that you've very kindly reiterated your points: I mean, I guess what you're seeing as damning isn't quite as evocative to me. I'll take your word for it that the whole MM/BR rivalry is something that Epi is aware of, even acutely so. I guess where I don't quite buy your argument is that knowing that MM would be very unlikely to kill BR does not mean that other people on MM's team might have overruled him. I mean, obviously this WASN'T the case (since MM was good), but prior to that revelation I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for someone to simultaneously believe that MM would not personally vote to kill BR, but could still be a member of a team that would do so.![]()
I guess maybe because I'm not as intimately involved with the details and intricacies of the BR/MM/Epi triangle that his willingness to vote MM just didn't set off alarms bells like it does for you. But I'm not discounting your assertion here, it's just not one I would have come to on my own. I actually also feel uneasy about Epi, so your insights are interesting.
Mostly, though, I want to lynch Vomps.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 3]
You post I quoted above about wanting to Lynch Vomps comes before both these posts below.
I know this is a joke. But you lay it out there nicely. I think you're trying to persuade a few people.Canucklehead wrote:Yes. Being Vomps is a serious crime.Long Con wrote:Vomps' crime is being Vomps, right? Not contributing much, acting weird? Low posting?
This is not a 180 after you have already declared you want to lynch him and that being him is a serious crime. You throw in the I think there's a 50/50 chance he's a civ. I makes you look wishy washy like you have been trying to portray this game. But your posts before this one prove this one is complete bullshit.Canucklehead wrote:I'm going to do (another) 180 and vote for Vomps.
I reread Epi's case on LK, and while I still didn't find it convincing, I can't come up with a scenario where it would be beneficial for baddie Epi to go hard against a player that (until he and Golden mentioned her) didn't seem to be on anyone's radar.
I'm not sure that I'm un-suspicious of Epi, but I'd rather not vote for him today since I can't really ask him to clarify some things about his LK case and LC's comments on the MM lynch while he's cursed.
I'll vote Vomps, though I think it's a 50/50 chance he's a civ.

Frankly I find myself having trouble comprehending some of the events of last night. I'd like to hear what the Con has to say about this.
Yesterday LC was pushing his case on Epi. In light of the Zomberella lynch, are you still pursuing Epignosis today? And in any case, where else do you think we should look for baddies?
And welcome back MM. Again, I'm sorry for my part in your lynching. I really thought I was on to something. You can put that bat away now.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 4]
That's part of it. I think her 180 on going from Zomba to Vomps the way she did is very insincere. I think she was trying to save a teammate. There's also the quote (can't remember where) where she said something along the lines of Zomba being bad means that Vomps is neither bad nor good (I'd go find the quote for better context). And I feel like she won't give a direct answer when I questioned her on what that means. Especially considering she voted for Vomps.juliets wrote:bwt have you put a case forth on her? That and I wonder if she's currently under some kind of enchantment or power or whatnot that is forcing her to flatter Epig a lot. But I'm going to wait on more posts from her before I determine that. Seems awfully convenient though.

I do not think that SVS is Zomba's teammate. It makes no sense for her to have gone so aggressively after her at the start of the day if she was. I truly believe she changed her mind.

Re: Harry Stephen Keeler [DAY 4]
PS - I've really loved this game llama, and in any ordinary circumstance would be desperate for a rezz. But because I'm going on holiday soon, there wouldn't be a lot of point. Thanks to everyone for making it such a fun game

I honestly don't know why we would want to or why we wouldn't. I am on the fence about him.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Hey Eloh, why don't we lynch Epignosis today?

I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

No, but I'm pretty sure he works nights so he probably hasn't been home since this day phase started.Bass_the_Clever wrote:Has LC post at all this day phase?

Juliet's, in response to those links you posted my responses to the questions I see are: I remember some people who I was suspicious of in the Zelda game, but not all the requotes. It was a misguided thought I had at the time that maybe mafia was just trying to gum up the works. I was mostly frustrated.
By "easy lynch" I meant someone who seemed an easy target to try and get lynched. I did make a post about Vompatti and pointed out that her posts were not helpful in the least. And I didn't trust LC at the time because I don't recall I was really looking at Epi at the time and from the way they were posting they didn't appear to be on the same team. I came back and posted 24 hours later that I was going back and forth on LC but it was late and I would be posting those posts I said I would make the next day. I did come back and post about Rabbit and Vompatti but by that time I wasn't feeling good about Epi so I didn't see much point in doing one on Long Con. I supposed that does sound suspect but it's the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I'd say "hand on the bible" but I'm agnostic so that wouldn't help.
The only civvie possibility I see here is: Casimer Jech - The Antique Dealer - Can trade his items for others each night. If the item is usable, both parties can immediately gain the benefit.
But then you would have gained from the rare book as well, right?
Black Rock had the two-headed elephant charm, she was killed night 1, now Disgruntled Porcupine has it. Hmmm..
RIP Golden. I'm sorry, I really did think you were trying to twist my words.
I don't know what to make of this masquerade hoax. Welcome back MM but I am really getting confused with these replacements.
I think she's saying you're a myth.
These are the type of non-committal posts about Epi I'm talking about.
I haven't changed my mind about SVS from Day 2, but I wouldn't appreciate people trying to lynch me if I couldn't defend myself and if all she can do is post nice things about Epi than she's not able to.

You, my dear, would have a hard time making that list.
Because I thought Golden was trying to twist my words. But you're right, I could calm down some.Dom wrote:Why are you being so defensive?
Deflection from voting Epi. Maybe avoidance is a better word.Dom wrote:I usually say it as a funny way to spell "what".LizKeen wrote:Can someone tell me what "WOT" means? Way Off Topic? post WithOut Teeth?
Defection onto what?LizKeen wrote: Epi, do you hate me? I hope not, I'm really not a terrible person but this is a game and players gotta play. But I'm seeing a lot of "well Epi might be bad but I'm not sure yet". Feels like deflection from voting him.
Thank you!Canucklehead wrote:WOT= wall of text

I do agree with LC that this is an odd thing to say after MM said it was he who caused Epi's affirmative answers. And your explanations aren't really making sense to me.juliets wrote:LC, I just noticed that one of your issues with Epi is he looks as if he had a curse on him to answer questions with a "yes" which you think is possible he made up. I think I can prove he didn't make it up. I chose a rare book as an item and the book had the power to make people say "yes" to questions asked of them. I really didn't see how that was useful because I thought people would see through it but anyway it got stolen from me. I believe it was used on Epi.
So it wouldn't work for you when you had it but it gets stolen and works?juliets wrote:You're right LC, I didn't think of it that way. I double checked my spreadsheet and it was stolen night one. I double checked the pm on the item and it was definitely that the receiver has to say yes to every action. But maybe this is relevant - when I asked about it I was told it didn't do anything right now (back then). I don't understand really what that meant, not that I wanted to use it then. Maybe it had to be stolen to activate? Anyway, the fact that it left me night one appears to be a stumbling block to it having been used on Epi. Which I guess means its still out there to be used by someone else.

He had no reason to lie. You "guess" he was? Sounds like you're trying to cover up your own slips.juliets wrote:I read that he said that and I read that you repeated it. Aren't you contradicting yourself here? LizKeen, what do you think of Epi? What do you make of Vompatti?
As for DP having BR 1.0's elephant charm... I'm not sure we should draw too many conclusions from that just yet. It seems that people have ended up with different items than they started with, and there's a variety of ways to do so. It also appears that false information might be able to be planted in the newspaper
But it is an interesting observation and something to keep in mind. DP, who are your suspects?
As for me, I'm far more interested in the curse placed on SVS, and why Epi thinks LC has info on him, and whether or not LC will be posting anytime soon.
