I asked all the dumb questions too, not to worry.Silver Lantern wrote:Hi everyone. Apologies for dumb questions ahead of time, I will be asking them all game and for games to come too.
DO NOT GIVE ME THE MAP, I REPEAT, DO NOT GIVE ME THE MAP.
Alright, now that I got the reverse psychology argument out of the way, should we try to coordinate the poll votes, or would that be against the spirit of the game? And would there be a benefit in doing so? I am guessing not much aside from pissing off the mod.
You guys call the mod the host here from what I gather, right?
What is BTSC?
What is Civ or Civilian? Is that like a regular townie?
But I did get a ping from this. Most of this was already discussed, and what isn't just doesn't feel particularly helpful.

If you're gonna toss around accusations at least have the common courtesy to quote where this was "already discussed" so that I can see what you're referring to and shoot down your fake arguments accordingly...Quin wrote:I asked all the dumb questions too, not to worry.Silver Lantern wrote:Hi everyone. Phenon Mafia: Day 1 - And Into the Fire
Day 1: And Into the Fire
Shortly after being left to their lonesome, the Passengers agree on who was to be given the Map. The discussions was awkward and didn’t amount to much aside speculations and accusations to be thrown every which way, but with the night coming ever closer, they knew that they would be stopped and head off to bed, leaving the worrisome day behind them. Or so they hoped….
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eugene Gamma sipped at a cup of hot tea he had made. It was actually quite a disgusting cup of tea. He grumbled that it tasted like “complete shit,” but sipped at it since it was something other than alcohol that had flavor. Eugene at this point in the afternoon had retreated to his personal room, located in the entirety of Car No.1. The reinforced walls covered in plush red velvet at least reminded him of his home estate back on the outskirts of New York City, New York. With the wealth he had, he was able to afford such luxuries like a reinforced rail car with electronic locking doors. The Gamma Corporation owner spared no expense on himself, especially in times like these. He reads a small wrinkled piece of paper that he had used to collect the names of the passengers and who they wanted to give the Map to. Eugene made a note to himself to pass the Map off discreetly when no one would notice, as to provide anonymity among everyone. From there, Eugene retrieves a written contract from a drawer near his lounge chair, returning to the chair to sit and read over it for what seemed the hundredth time.
“Dear Mr.Gamma, all of us here at The Federation are thoroughly delighted that you have agreed to take part in our offer. If anyone could do it, it would be you! Attached to this document you will find a list of stops to arrive at. Our agents will work behind the scenes to assure that the right people are in the right place at the right time. We will as well be sending an operative along to board with the passengers, but he will appear as everyone else so you need not worry about him. Your task is to shuttle these people around the country until our operative finds the high value targets. Should he fail, we have a backup plan. As promised once your end of the deal has been fulfilled we will give you exclusive permission to interact with the North American Vault and have full control of their trading. We look forward to hearing from you again.”
The paper had had the signature ripped off in its travel to his office so it was unsure just who exactly sent it. Eugene reflected upon the passengers and their worried faces, he was a little soft at heart, driven by a desire for glory, and this whole thing seemed wrong. At the same time though, the cost of a few lives as opposed to tens of thousands more saved appealed more to his troubled mind and he set his conscience to rest once again for the time being. He stands up and walks over to his camera wall, where which all the rooms are displayed with their various hidden cameras. He can observe every single person at any time with these. He pulls out his watch again, checking the time. “Not much longer now….Let’s see how this goes.” Eugene takes another sip of his tea before promptly smashing the delicate cup onto the ground in disgust, shattering it into many small pieces. “This is going to be a long week.”

Re: Phenon Mafia: Day 1 - And Into the Fire
I wouldn't have chosen to say this in a vacuum, but since I already said I didn't get the map...
I did get the map. I was just impatient and assumed the PM had gone elsewhere.
It doesn't feel massively helpful, but it does enable me to turn the compass directions on this poll (and others) into specific locations. If we go to a location that turns out to be favourable, I might be able to help us get back there. It looks like you can't get everywhere from everywhere, though. For now, it's meaningless to me.
Thanks to those who trusted me. It genuinely is the first time I've been elected to get one of these! I assumed it had gone to Jay.

Congratulations, 1 hour in and someone is already been voted for!
VOTALS:
Scotty (1): JJJ
With 21 Alive, it takes 11 to Lynch, and 6 to soft lynch. Day 1 will be an extended 72 hours, so it will end on 14th February, 2017 at 10pm EST.
I will put out Vote totals about a couple times every 24 hours, but feel free to put an "unofficial count" post out for yourself if you want a visual representation

Re: Phenon Mafia: Day 1 - And Into the Fire
GTH? It looks as if Silver and I are playing the parts of naive traveler.
If this has been covered, there has been no indication of what happens in each zone correct? So essentially we're just rolling along blindly correct?
I guess if anyone would have this information it would be Golden, but he didn't appear to have any relevant data, I was just double checking to see if I hadn't missed anything in the fluff or precursor material.

Was I the same as when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I am not the same, the next question is, Who in the world am I?

What are people's thoughts on the actual map receiver outing the map info with everyone in case they die?
I guess only they can determine if the info is worth outing or taking to the grave.

I would prefer not to disclose all of the details of the map, because the mafia team might be able to find ways to turn it to their advantage. I will say though that Golden's guesses are at least reasonably close all things considered. Once I have had a few opportunities to utilize it myself and get acquainted with the effects it creates, I might be more inclined to talk about it. We'll see.

From what I've read though, we'll all be able to make our own maps in time anyway, I just wasn't sure if there was any game mechanic outside of a gift in each zone. There might be and it was voluntarily withheld as to create suspense.

Also, I voted East. I took a BuzzFeed quiz the other day that asked me what my favourite direction was. That was it.

Re: Phenon Mafia: Day 1 - And Into the Fire
I don't see why it was necessary to ask whether Sorsha civ-read the people she mentioned, considering the specifics as to why she mentioned them.
As for Sorsha, I don't think their alignment mattered at all to her. I don't think that in itself is suspicious, but I think appeasing you in her response is.
