hmmm so that says "Death god only eats apples"
I wish I had played in the Deathnote game.
I wish I was here for it.
Maybe I should run a new version with a smaller cast. And I could Americanize it. Light Turner as the main character, for example.
For simplicity's sake, Watari's name with actually be Watari. Misa will be Mia. Get rid of most of Light's family, they don't matter. Same for the investigation team.
Light, Mia, L, Watari, Ryuk, Police Chief Turner, and that's it. A simple, 6-person game, with two mafia and a third party. Sounds balanced and fun.
I skimmed the wikipedia article and one of the references. All I want to know is if these things are actually helpful to mathematicians in some way or just cute classifications they came up with.

You should read the setup of the one that was played here. It's fucking nuts in a good way.

Without going too far into the philosophy of mathematics, a lot of it is just people doing what they find interesting. Sometimes it turns out it's useful in some way, sometimes it's just for fun/enjoyment.
Thursdays kill me. It's my only day away from home and when I'm gone y'all post like mad. And today I had like 20 5-6 yr olds (on picture day, no less) and then came home to work all afternoon (just finished). So...forgive me but I only skimmed the last two pages. I'm drained.
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

Also why would you think my name means anything? And why also would one think it's a good idea to try and lynch me if I am special .
Your role isn't that special, ex-teammate substitute

is there a set schedule for these polls, or are you just deploying them at random/when someone tries to vote out speedchuck?

While lynching the serial killer was the wrong choice for keeping the simulation moving toward Stage 2, it was beneficial for many of the participants. Body aches, chills, fever, coughing, and the sweats were running rampant through the town. Some used the night to rest but not all.
In the morning, some felt better but few felt well. Lethargy and loss of appetite left people weak and frail. Seeing just how many of them were under the weather made it click. This wasn't just some passing bug. After all, they weren't really in Pianoville. No, this was a simulation and there was only one reason so many would get sick inside a simulation.
Suddenly, everyone felt a little worse than before.
------------------------------
NOBODY HAS DIED.
THE FLU EPIDEMIC HAS HIT CRITICAL MASS. BEGINNING TODAY, INFECTED PARTICIPANTS WILL START DYING. DAILY FLU VICTIMS ARE CHOSEN AT RANDOM.
IT IS NOW DAY 19. YOU HAVE 48 HOURS TO LYNCH SOMEONE.
SLOONEI IS NOT LYNCHABLE TODAY BECAUSE HE JUST REANIMATED.
JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 3:24 pmAlways good to remember that there is no such thing as a Mafia circumstance that is worth real human emotion. Sometimes it will naturally come out, but it can be contained if we just remember that this is a game on a message board forum that 99.99% of the population of the Earth has never heard of before. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.
Sergeant Majors Johnson and Sharp were playing another round of office mini golf when consoles started flashing and sirens chirpped. From the simulation chamber, they could hear THE GAME laughing with demonic delight.
"What the hell is going on?" Sharp shouted over the commotion.
"THE MOST WONDERFUL THING MY DEAR HUMAN!" THE GAME roared.
Johnson grabbed a print-out. His eyes widened as he read it. "We're going to want to show this to the General. This is exactly the kind of situation he's been waiting for."
"YES," laughed THE GAME, "THIS IS THE CHAOS THAT WILL TEST THE METTLE OF ALL PARTICIPANTS. NOW WE WILL SEE WHAT CREAM RISES TO THE TOP. HA-HA! HA! HA!"

The Perilous Primes sat around a table, plotting their next moves. Nobody noticed the light flicker the first time or two. When the flickering became more rapid it was impossible not to notice.
"Um... okay. Anyone else find this weird?" asked Speedchuck.
The room began to shake but it didn't feel like an earthquake. Rather, it felt as if all of their surroundings were rippling around and beneath them.
"Speedchuck," one of the Primes said as his own limbs began to fall off, "you're turning into a penguin. Stop it."
Just as a few of the Primes realized what was hapening, everything began to swirl. Colors flashed, sounds swirled, and all other sensory functions had a hissy fit.
It was as if all at once the world changed.
And it did.
-----------------------------------
THE BUTTON HAS BEEN PUSHED.
ALL ACTIVE ROLES ARE BEING REASSIGNED.
ALL TEAM CHATS ARE BEING SHUT DOWN. NEW ONES WILL OPEN SOON.
When the world stopped changing, everyone found themselves sitting on a beach. Behind them was a tropical island. In front of them was the beached hull of a large ship with RSV Horizont scrawled on the bow.
No more cushy beds in a quaint Italian town. No more Dancing Piano. No more free booze.
The world had changed indeed.
----------------------------------------
ALL ACTIVE ROLES HAVE BEEN REASSIGNED AND NEW TEAM CHATS OPENED.
IT IS STILL DAY 19. YOU HAVE UNTIL THE END OF THE LYNCH POLL TO LYNCH SOMEONE.
I'd like to be lynched as well oh and as a bonus if you lynch me I'll reveal my last role, which was a secret role which will be very valuable for many players.
