Just trying to engage you to see where your head is at! You're one of the players I'm having trouble reading at the moment, and I (as well as others, I'm sure) are wondering what you're thinking.

You got some leads? Where are those pesky mafia?

Shall I assume that now that we have only five players from the poll whose names are left bolded (A2TheZebra, Enrique, Golden, Metalmarsh89 and MovingPictures07) that they will be the recipients of whatever it was that this poll is for? Also a little confused as to why MacDougall isn't bolded when he has more votes than some of those players (above) that aren't? In any case, best of luck guys!

It kinda depends at this point. I'm hoping that enrique will answer my question from previous.

I'm currently looking through at interactions between certain players and others, and from this the players that I don't think are scum are Mac, Zebra and you.

Enrique is my current work in progress.

MM, Sig, Dfaraday are next on my list.

Episode VI: A Picture of Al Roker and Duran Duran

I'll write the actual story tomorrow. I cleaned all day today and yesterday was Thanksgiving, so you guys will have to deal.

Savage has been slain by the Empire
It is now Day 4 (The Second Day on Alderaan)
You Have 48 Hours to lynch someone
Poll will be up shortly, I'll send PM's out after that.

I like Duran Duran almost as good as Kansas and much better then Rush.

So the Empire didn't kill night 1, either they used another power or were inactive. Does anyone else find it interesting that when two active players replaces two inactive players the Empire kills?

This isn't vote worthy of course today I'll be most likely voting for either Enrique or Simon, even so I think it is worth discussing.

I think for today we have better options with slightly more evidence. I mainly have in mind the possibly Hutt members, but I think it was worth noting especially since Matt/Bass 2.0 will be under scrutiny. In theory we could also look at players that have become more active. I also made an error in the above the Empire's kill was night 2 not night 1 so any players who were active from day 3 onward could also be part of this team.

Of course in theory Han Solo/Leia could have blocked the NK but that would take an extreme amount of skill/luck and for said player not to block them again today would either mean they are dead or didn't choose that target. I think this is unlikely and it is more likely the mafia team was MIA.

Know this is just guesswork, but the Emperor (non BTSC and not responsible for submitting kill) could be active this means out of the other three Stormtrooper, Vader, and Grand Moff whoever was responsible for the kill was inactive. No planet have been exploded, but they could just be waiting. So I've seen a few set ups, either a specific player must submit there kill, any mafia member, or instead of using an ability the mafia kills. The third fits my theory the best. This could mean all three members are MIA or at least missed night 2. In theory if someone else was poisoned Vader could be a poisoner and decided to poison instead of kill. However, what is Vader known for? Force Choke so I'm thinking he has an enforcing/silencing ability.
IF it is silencing well no one has been silenced leading me to think Vader is still inactive. While Stormtrooper/Grand Moff is our killer this time.

This is all just a theory, but I think if we give it some thought it can help narrow down players and suspected mafia members.

I'm going to fumble a little with this but does anyone else find Savage to be more than a little odd as a choice for the Night Kill at this point of the game? I mean, wouldn't it make more sense to eliminate one of the better players in this game? Surely any Mafia team worth their salt would do that? Unless... :ponder:

@glorf - I've been down that rabbit hole many times. The reality is that it could be so many things that analysis rarely helps. For instance:

Your theory - a team of high posters who don't want to end up conspicuous... but also
A team or some individuals who aren't a fan of people that are not playing a lot
A team that has an idea of Savage's role and wants it out
A team that just wants to play with our minds by taking out someone unexpected
A team trying to take out someone they doubt would be protected

Didn't the same team have their kill fail or miss last time? Or was that the Hutts? If it was the empire, it could simply be that they don't want to miss again.

I suppose looking at it like that my friend, you're probably right. I was simply surmising based on an experience I'd had where the Mafia team were all prominent and strong players. As the game went on and the body count of low posters/newbies piled up, it was increasingly difficult for the Mafia team to remain inconspicuous. Might potentially be worthy of consideration a the game progresses.

Hey so did anyone get a message about the poll? I did. Not sure if it was just me though so I will reserve what I say for now.

Personally when I am a bad guy I like to aim for the player I feel is most likely hiding the fact that they are a cop or a doc or some other strong role. Perhaps there was an indication to them that Savage may have been Skywalker, Solo, Leia or maybe they have a rolecop. When I am scum sometimes I get pinged to that sort of thing by really feint insinuations. Might be worth going over Savage's ISO to see if he did anything to bring that to attention and if anyone pointed it out.

Zeb, if you are seriously suggesting to me that any Mafia team would prefer to NK a player because of a perceived lack of involvement in the game over an experienced operator that represents a clear threat to the team, I can only presume that I'd have a very poor future here at this site in Mafia roles...

Since I don't learn my lesson I'm going to say the same thing I did in LC game. :P

It could be either the Empire is among top poster, Macs idea which has some credence, or they are targeting low posters to not leave a trail. They need them to be dead anyway andSavage was posting enough he wasn't in danger of being Mod killed. They need these players dead and at this point if a high poster is killed and they so much as mentioned a member of their team said team mate could be lynched. Something especially if it is just one or two active players they would no doubt be trying to avoid. We could also have a less experienced mafia player directing the kills, though this would eliminate the Matt/Bass theory.

This. As Epignosis mentioned earlier, this game is a new record for missed posts and so on. It's not the norm but in this game it makes sense.

Hello. I am Darth Ethanol. Meant to pass this on from Yoda:

Good job taking down bcornett. Be lynched, I still think enrique should. Liking this theory about simon and elohcin, I am. Be looked into more closely, it should. Yeesssssss.

Voting Enrique sounds good but I'll hold my vote for the time.

I'm not opposed to lynching Enrique per se, but it seemed to me that there was more obvious connection linking Simon to the Hutts. Why is everyone so sure of Enrique again?

I have not really been present much for the past 48 hours as I have been preparing for my daughter's birthday party. YES, I spend a lot of time and effort for my children's parties. No, I don;t care that it makes me a little insane Epi. You still got yours :p. ANYWAY! I am pretty much back and see that most others have been absent as well. Even those who have replaced in seem to be awol. Matt F, where are you? Who else was it that replaced in? FWIW I think the odds of Enri being bad are slim. I am going to spent some time looking at people tomorrow. I have to sleep, then go to church, work out (I've neglected that too with birthday celebration craziness), and then I can focus on Mafia. TTFN.
Banners are cool, but a pain to scroll through so...
I've won a lot of games. I've hosted some games. The end.

Mafia games aside, you sound like such a lovely person - I'm genuinely very pleased to make your aquaintance :)
