I agree with DDL on the lap votes and I'm gonna [VOTE: dom] aubergine for now since there's at least somewhat of a case on him. I would vote for speed if anyone wanted to join me but it seems unlikely.

I don't want to vote for either of the two highest vote-getters currently - feels icky, although people have been moving off of lap (okay, now as I've been writing it's 2 for 2 nutella and lap). My reason for putting lap in that category was because she hadn’t posted. The “coinflip” was arbitrary. It was a prod, not a death sentence.

She was leading in votes 1 hour before the day end. It isn't a death sentence per se but it's the equivalent of putting her in the guillotine and then asking the crowd if they are sure about it.

You mainly referring to the speed read? Because what i suspect is that she was gonna scumread him but accidentally implied he was town in a post because she knew he was. It doesn't really read to me as directly scatterbrained? That was her explanation when called out on it but it doesn't really read like that to me.

Yeah which is the issue with the ominous claiming, it's something that's NAI since both mafia and town would do it.

I don’t really understand the rationale behind a random vote or the endorsement of it by other players.

Statistically, if you look at the odds of a properly balanced mafia game, Town wins by randomization and roles more often than they do if hunting. The latter is susceptible to being fooled. The former is not.

However, odds of victory do not matter. We are here to play mafia, not roulette. Victory means nothing if we didn't hunt it down and strangle it.

Town loses more often than not if we RNG every vote.

I've ran a simulation of that before.

If nutella flips mafia id say everyone on her wagon is high on my town list same with the Dom voters. Since in a game this size I doubt teammates would bandwagon.

I'd say scum driven wagons to save teammates tend to form faster. So if Dom is mafia the speed at which the nutella wagon formed would look bad. If that makes sense?

Yeah that makes sense i guess. Even if i think counterwagons can often materialize pretty quickly regardless of if the wagon is on scum or town, because close to EoD townies need to get a counterwagon up quickly aswell if they wanna save the other person getting lynched for example.
