Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Though nutella seems a bit less in your face then she was in Upick and other recent games, so i'd say that's a bad look. Though she's busy so I'd not want to lynch her yet and she's exhibiting some civ meta.

Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
But her changing her mind a lot doesn't really matter in this situation, since she said herself that she responded while having a light suspicion on speed. Anyway, yeah ok I listen to what my scumleans say/think aswell, but it does read to me like you think he's town since he MUST be town to be genuinely "onto something".

If it helps nova vanished in another game I'm playing though I don't know his alignment there.

Wanna specify? I think you're likely town and have more meta than I do, so your opinion matters to me

Bleck, but it's not even a case. It's more of one than "lap's not posting," but hardly.
I don't want to vote for either of the two highest vote-getters currently - feels icky, although people have been moving off of lap (okay, now as I've been writing it's 2 for 2 nutella and lap). But votes everywhere! I'll vote nutella - it's the best chance to even things up, and I don't like her vote. (Not to say I like others' votes either, but so it goes.) Sorry I'm voting for you at work, though! You are beautiful and delicious no matter what.
Also I'm hungry and need to eat, so.
Linki - Can I vote King Ramses? Gahhhh

Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Btw, i agree with Sig that Dom's small pop-in defending himself didn't feel great, so based on that I wouldn't be against him dying, but I think I still prefer Nutella at this point.
Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
She seems a bit scattered with her reads right now, which is something that I recall civ nutella doing earlier on. However, she's not posted enough for me to get a good grasp of her.

Hmm I just ISO'd nutella and don't feel so good. She feels detatched.
Dom is saying some things that make me feel bad but the way he's shitting on Sig's logic reminds me of the Champions game where he was a civ. Dom is just stubborn like that.

Does nobody else see the duplicity in colin’s Reasoning for voting lap?
He said he flipped a coin between someone with 1 post and someone without a post to their name, and when lap did show up he expressed his reasoning being because she hadn’t posted.
So that coinflip was less than honest then

Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
But, he said just the one thing, usually he'd be more present. Like we got into a giant fight day 1 last game we played because we both scum read each other. But, here he didn't get worked up at all, which leads me to believe he's mafia maybe and just can't work himself up into getting stubborn since he knows we're right?Dragon D. Like it's not so much that Nutella is flip-flopping it's likie she doesn't really care that much. She's relaxed and is not pushing her opinions so hard. Nutella isn't really an aggressive person but she is a really more opionated from I remember.

My reason for putting lap in that category was because she hadn’t posted. The “coinflip” was arbitrary. It was a prod, not a death sentence.Scotty wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 6:33 pm Does nobody else see the duplicity in colin’s Reasoning for voting lap?

She was leading in votes 1 hour before the day end. It isn't a death sentence per se but it's the equivalent of putting her in the guillotine and then asking the crowd if they are sure about it.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 6:36 pmMy reason for putting lap in that category was because she hadn’t posted. Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
You mainly referring to the speed read? Because what i suspect is that she was gonna scumread him but accidentally implied he was town in a post because she knew he was. It doesn't really read to me as directly scatterbrained? That was her explanation when called out on it but it doesn't really read like that to me.sig wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 6:30 pmShe seems a bit scattered with her reads right now, which is something that I recall civ nutella doing earlier on. Do you mean any other read being scatterbrained?

Did the thread die? o.o
Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Interesting looks like it did, I'm slightly nervous with Nutella saying she has a super good civ role and we shouldn't lynch her, but at the same time I do see what DDL/Fractal are saying.

Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Yeeeah, but it's not like we can eventually claim the roles anyway, so it feels like a safe move to stay that as scum too knowing there's nothing to lose by saying it.
I agree it's scary though
Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
to say that as scum*
Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Yeah which is the issue with the ominous claiming, it's something that's NAI since both mafia and town would do it.
I'm still feeling the Dom vote, but some of the other reasons for it are a bit weak and I mainly was trying to stop a Lap wagon. LEt me look at a few more things real quick and I'll be back.

Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Town loses more often than not if we RNG every vote.speedchuck wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 1:27 pmStatistically, if you look at the odds of a properly balanced mafia game, Town wins by randomization and roles more often than they do if hunting. The latter is susceptible to being fooled. The former is not.ColinIsCool wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 1:22 pm I don’t really understand the rationale behind a random vote or the endorsement of it by other players.
However, odds of victory do not matter. We are here to play mafia, not roulette. Victory means nothing if we didn't hunt it down and strangle it.
I've ran a simulation of that before.

Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Chances of town winning a common vanilla game by RNG'ing are something close to 30%. For the game to be balanced and get closer to the 50%, it takes actual scumhunting.
Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
I'm leaving my vote on Dom looking over them both they look equally as scummy, which is a bit of a cop out yeah, but Dom's pinging me/gut bad while not contributing much.
While Nutella is gut good, but has questionable posts. Mainly looking at the Speed ones and where DDL is coming from.
One thing I do dislike about the nutella wagon is how fast it appeared when we had the lap v. Dom. Out of the three I'd say one is mafia for sure.
I do dislike how little they both seem to care about getting lynched though.

Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Especially Dom since he was here when he had votes he just brushed the reasoning off and voted for the counterwagon. Which isn't the civviest of behaviors

Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
I'm also eyeing everyone who voted after the tie for a random player and even those who voted before they completely avoided wagonomics for the phase.

Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Would you still think 1 of the 3 that followed me onto nutella is mafia if Nutella is mafia? Because i don't really follow that reasoning.sig wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 6:58 pm I'm leaving my vote on Dom looking over them both they look equally as scummy, which is a bit of a cop out yeah, but Dom's pinging me/gut bad while not contributing much.

And regardless of that, how is the speed of a wagon and the alignment of the person getting wagoned connected?
Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Agreed, especially if they both end up town, then scum often doesn't care or sit off-wagon to not take any blame for the town lynch that happens

If nutella flips mafia id say everyone on her wagon is high on my town list same with the Dom voters. Since in a game this size I doubt teammates would bandwagon.
I'd say scum driven wagons to save teammates tend to form faster. So if Dom is mafia the speed at which the nutella wagon formed would look bad. If that makes sense?

I agree with you in all cases except when the specific purpose of your vote placement is to maintain the tie temporarily or otherwise.
Re: [DAY 1] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Yeah that makes sense i guess. Even if i think counterwagons can often materialize pretty quickly regardless of if the wagon is on scum or town, because close to EoD townies need to get a counterwagon up quickly aswell if they wanna save the other person getting lynched for example.sig wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 7:04 pmSorry i meant one of the three wagons.Fractal wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 7:02 pmWould you still think 1 of the 3 that followed me onto nutella is mafia if Nutella is mafia?
