The Roles

The Civilians

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (4): These four players begin with no BTSC, but every night they each can search for another band member. Once two Members find each other, they stop searching, so there will end up being two sets of two BTSC pairs at most. Once all four band members have paired up, each pair can send the other one anonymous message via the host.

Billy Shears: Once at least two of the band members have paired up, Billy gains one Rez.

Lucy: A woman every bit as Mysterious as she is beautiful. Each night she will lead someone through an acid laced vision. The effects of this will be a surprise to be interpreted only by the person she targets.

Runaway Girl: vanilla Civ unless targeted by Mother then she changes alignment and a secret is activated.

Mother: Stops one person from having fun every night thereby role blocking them, if she targets The Runaway, she changes alignment and a secret will be activated.

Mr. Kite: As the crazy ringmaster, each night he protects one person hoping to keep his circus safe to benefit him with another performance.

Mr. Henderson: Using his amazing gymnastic abilities, Mr. Henderson can avoid being hit by a night target, without knowing what the power was, he will redirect it to someone else.

Henry the Horse: Seriously, a dancing horse! He can avoid being lynched by amazing all with his fancy footwork. If he should win a lynch poll, Henry can switch the lynch to one of the payers who voted for him.

Mafia (2 Teams)

Silly People (2): NK on even nights
All abilities are team abilities rather than role abilities. They have one Rez to use once during the game. They also may role block another player on the odd nights when they do not kill. And they have one Secret Ability.

Teachers (2): NK on odd nights
All abilities are team abilities rather than role abilities. They have one lynch protection to be used once during the game, as with Henry the Horse they can switch the lynch to one of the players who voted for them if they should win the lynch poll. They also role block on the even nights when they do not kill. And they have one Secret Ability.

Independent

Lovely Rita: Each night Rita can impound someone's vehicle. This person is then unable to vote, or post. They are effectively dead, but they have a possibility of returning to the game. Each night a coin will be flipped and if it is heads one of her impounded vehicles will be released. If she dies, all impounded vehicles will be released and those players will return to play. Her win condition is that of a SK, she needs to be the last woman standing.

The Rules:
1. No illegal Behind The Scenes Conversation (aka BTSC). You may only discuss the game within this thread unless your role stipulates otherwise.

2. Have fun, but treat other players with respect. I have mod killed people before for their inability to follow this guideline. You will get one warning, if you don't stop, I won't hesitate to mod kill or replace you.

3. Do not copy and paste any PMs you receive from me into the thread.

4. Do not out your own role or someone else's. Role hinting is fine, but role outing spoils the fun of the game.

5. Dead players use Dead Red (and cannot speak on topic once they die), Non-players use NP Blue, Off topic conversation is in OT Green, and sarcasm can be highlighted in Sarc Orange. All these have handy buttons in the formatting at the top for your ease of use!

If you take issue with something I or one of your fellow players do or say, the moderator on duty is MovingPictures07, he is here to make sure things are dealt with and will be glad to step in if needed. Don't hesitate to contact him if you have questions or concerns.

Day 1 Down In Front: A mob descends on Chaindeath but accidentally kill FH instead.
Night 1 Octopus's Garden The Teachers kill Devin with a marine biology textbook.
Day 2 You Can't Do That: Chaindeath survives yet another lynch, and BWTdies in his place.
Night 2 All I've Got To Do: Aces dies by credit card at the hands of the Silly People.
Day 3 She Isn't Having Fun Now: Roxy is lynched
Night 3 Say The Word: DF is killed by the Teachers
Day 4 Misery: Vomps is lynched
Night 4 Tomorrow Never Knows: SVS is killed by the Silly People
Day 5 Nothing From Nothing: The mob attempts to lynch Conor but somehow ends up killing Vomps

Ticket to Ride

The afternoon was turning to dusk and outside the club a line was forming. It was the most highly anticipated show of the year, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band had returned to play one final show in the same little club where it all began. Tickets in hand, the concert attendees visit as they wait for the doors to open. And then the magical moment comes, a cheer goes up as the doors are opened and they begin filing inside. Since it's a small venue, the tickets were more expensive than most, but what can you expect when you are one of only fourteen who get to witness history in the making? The group mills about chattering excitedly about the show.

"What do you think they will open with?" blindfaeth asks Vloddamick.

He answers, "I would guess the title track, but I don't know. Maybe they will surprise us and go more obscure..."

Flyin' High cuts in, "I am really hoping to hear them open with Good Morning!"

Others nearby join in the conversation, all chipping in with what they want to hear first. Then the lights dim and the show begins....

What track do you think the band should open with?

The game has begun! You have twenty four hours to pick the show opener. Remember this is a speed game so the day and night phases will both only be twenty four hours. Everything in my post is purely for writing purposes, I will not be giving any hints through my writing, so don't read too much into that.

I voted for Getting Better, I've never heard the song but based off the name it makes me feel good. Because I used to suffer from depression and stuff but through a daily uphill battle, you know what, I am getting better

FYI my boyfriend and I are going to Orlando to visit a friend for his birthday this weekend starting Friday, going to disney & universal. I'll be back home on Monday. I'll have my iPad to check the game in the evenings, but I wouldn't expect me to be active until I get back

Anyone more familiar with the band have any input as to what songs might have a positive influence for the civs based on the lyrics or anything? I know SD said no one has info but obviously the result will still affect the game in some way

I don't really think any of them have specifically "baddie" connotations, Sgt Peppers is for the most part a pretty cheerful album.

Teachers are mentioned in It's Getting Better, but it is in a negative sense ("the teachers who taught me weren't cool"); Fixing A Hole mentions the Silly People. But since they are both mentioned negatively in those songs, i am not sure if they would benefit or not?

I agree with SVS not sure if the poll would accurately reflect who benefits from what option and having played a daisy game before I tend to think things are never as clear cut as they may seem.

Don't Bother Me

The lights dim and a hush falls over the excited audience. In the darkness, the band strikes the first chord of their opening song and then the lights flood the stage. Flyin' High squeals in delight as she recognizes With a Little Help From My Friends. SVS grins happily and sings along. Everyone in the audience can feel that this is the show of a lifetime. Spacedaisy watches with rapt attention, drinking in every moment.Then a movement captures her eye to the right of the stage and just as the lights flash she can clearly make out a figure of someone and they are carrying a gun. Then the figure disappears backstage through a side door. Her heart jumps as she considers what this means and with a worried glance toward the band, she hurries after the figure. As the door shuts behind her she pauses to allow her eyes times to adjust. In that moment she feels the cold hard metal of a gun barrel press into her back and the mysterious assassin says quietly, "You should not have followed me. I payed a fortune for this ticket just so I could get close enough and now you have seen me. Do you know what this means?"

Spacedaisy can barely breathe from fear, begging, "Please don't do this..."

The assassin's voice is level and dismissive as they reply, "You've left me no choice. I can't let you interfere with my goals," and so saying, fired the gun.

Daisy toppled over, and as the blood pooled beneath her the last thing her eyes saw was the band finishing With A Little Help From My Friends.

It is now Day 1.

Spacedaisy is dead! You may all mourn appropriately.

Those that are affected by the track choice will be notified by PM momentarily. You have 24 hours to choose who you would like to lynch.

Chaindeath is sorry to say that he will have to pick a random target for today, as he will be going to sleep and will not check this until tomorrow after the poll has ended. He rolled three six sided dice and came up with eight, eight on the list is DH. He requests that you don't decide to lynch him for randomizing this kill.
