Quin stated in BTSC several times that he'd rather have competitors who showed up to play sitting in the end. I think he wants Opt there next to him
Opt is in a bad spot for that because if she were to jump ship now and vote Quin, she will have alienated a ton of people on the jury

Glad to see Quin is fighting back against Lorab. So odd that she thinks people don't see that Eloh did the poisoning. Also odd that she's attacking if she and Sorsha want Quin to do something, namely vote Opt.

It would appear that maybe she started with the intention of putting it on Quin to see if Opt would want to vote her.

Or, she truly believes Elo wouldn't do that in a LMS game and then :shrug2: :shrug2:

I think each of them has reasons why they would make a good winner. I hope it is a close vote.

And wow Lorab ate the chicken? I thought Scotty said Quin ate it, I must have misunderstood. Lorab ate it for a good reason though if what she says is true.

Do real life jury members discuss their vote option openly? I think this shouldn't be allowed in Ponderosa. It could be so easy to rally up or influence another's vote.

I dunno how Quin can say with a straight face his power didn't carry him all the way to the end when you look at how many idols he had and how many times his idol saved his bacon. His "biggest move" in getting me out was solely because he had an idol.

Here's where this game and the real game slightly differ:

Because tribal comes directly after Lorab was voted out, I thought it h fair to LORab to not be able to discuss with her fellow jurors her thoughts.

What does happen in the real life ponderosa is people do mingle and rally for their prospective vote before tribal, discuss what they're going to talk about, etc. This is a mechanic that the jury has but doesn't always have to play with.

No, Quin had trouble with the digging portion of yesterday's challenge so I made fun of him in my post. Someone in Ponderosa took that to mean he ate the chicken.

In Survivor, after each jury member asks a question, they all secretly vote and it's done. Though you'll hear in Ponderosa videos of the people that will not vote in the end

Oh ok.

I'm just of the mentality that, mingle and all, it wouldn't (or I wouldn't like for it to) influence my decision. I'd only be judging the ones in the final 2 or 3 chairs.

I forgot to add that every juror in BB apart from the last gets to participate in that group discussion. The last juror is usually eliminated the night of the finale, so they only get their questions

Maybe it's just my personal preference but I can't see how anyone can not choose Opt to win the game. She played the social game like a pro, adapting to the loss of a strong ally in myself. She rode another strong ally (Golden) and had the sense/balls to cut him loose. And she won the majority of immunity challenges (even ones she had no role advantage in)

She can lose based on butthurt effect. INH and Epig seem way more detached, but don't know about the rest.

I still sort of suspect a bitter jury maj on this one.

Preach it. I dunno why the jury is so bitter, man. If ya got played ya got played. I'm not mad at Quin for doing me like he did. From a game move, it was a good one. Not a great one, and definitely not a game winner, but a good move.

I just think that Quin doesn't deserve a win because he essentially had a skeleton key to the final four. And Sorsha played a good enough game, but really didn't make any move. When your best strategy is no strategy at all, then you shouldn't be sitting at the end.

I don't think the Quin power role complaint is fair, just like the Opt power role complaint isn't either. Quin didn't use idols every tribal council. The others didn't eliminate him when he didn't. Their loss. Opt didn't win every challenge ever. In fact, she lost the very last one. She was left in the game.

It is what it is.

In both Golden's and my case, Quin was able to get out a powerful player and avoid his own elimination through the use of an idol that he had. The difference in the Opt/Quin role power debate is that Opt's power gave her a small competitive edge in some competitions. She still had to bust ass in each competition. Quin's power gave him a vehicle to find and horde immunity until final 4. The two do not compare.

RE: Sorsha I suppose we don't know what her strategy was but from Ponderosa and the thread it looks like she was never "in the loop" on the alliances/big plays that happened. I could be wrong. It just seems like, of the three, she did the least to make it to final 3.

Not a knock on her, I just wouldn't vote for her in the end.

I agree. Looking forward to how Sorsha will respond to these questions.

Quin actually didn't use his role to the full advantage either. There were times in the early rubbings that he instead worked to better the tribe. I remember in like day 6-7 he told his BTSC partners not only his Rolex but where the possible idols were- so DF went looking in one location and Golden went looking in another, while Quin stoked the fire. That shows loyalty in his partners and faith that they wouldn't blindside him.
