RULES & PROCEDURES

Rules
1. Outwit. Outplay. Outlast.
2. No being outside-of-game-context mean to people! We're all here to have a fun time, and even though this game is based on a reality show where tensions can run high, personal attacks will not be tolerated.
a. If you are feeling frustrated, posting in thread is likely not a great idea. Oftentimes taking a few hours to do something else can really help your mindset in these situations.
b. If at any point you feel bullied, unwelcome, or uncomfortable, please bring it up to the Moderator on Duty and it will be dealt with.
3. Info-dumping IS ALLOWED. Information is a very important part of Survivor. How you choose to use it is up to you.
4. There will be no replacements in this game. If you aren't feeling your best or are having illusions of another life with commitments elsewhere, then figure something out. You could conceivably make it to the end of this game without doing anything, but you may be a liability to your tribe. If you ask to be replaced, I will not snuff out your torch- I will, however, drink some rum.
5. No talking to other players in regards to the game outside of the game thread, with the exception of your assigned BTSC partners, when designated.
6. This is the host color. Don't use it, please!
a. This is the Moderator on Duty (MoD) color. Don't use it unless you're a MoD. Your MoD for this game is juliets. Message her if you need a talk!
7. Dead players and Non-players MAY NOT POST. There will be a specified area for deadies (and non-players) to talk amongst themselves.
8. For off-topic (non-game related) discussions, use this color (labeled OT in the post-drafting screen). For sarcastic posts, feel free to use this color. For pedantic posts, this is the one to use.


Gameplay
1. Phases are in 24 hour cycles, and are split into Day and Night.
2. Day phases will consist of general camp life and challenges
-Most challenges will take place over the full day period, and some will take place at a set time towards the end of the phase, which will be made apparent at the start of the day.
3. Night phases, should the team not win immunity, will consist of Tribal Council, where one player will be voted out of the tribe at the end of the phase via privately-messaged votes. All ties are to be randomly decided.
4. You may not target the same player with a Day or Night power two times in a row. This does not include voting for someone at tribal council.
5. All players have a Hunger, Thirst and Energy level, which will be updated via PM at the start of every Day phase (If you do not receive your updated level for some reason, PM either Marmot or myself)
a. If your hunger or thirst level drops to 0 by the end of a night phase, you will be med-evac'd and officially removed from the game.
b. If your energy drops to 0 at any point, you will still be able to remain in the game, but your ability to perform in challenges may prove to be greatly hindered until you regain energy.
c. Players may never exceed their starting attribute levels. Any excess gained in the game will be wasted.

DAY 0

I’m flying over the waters of the awe-inspiring coastal Fiji, home to exotic reptiles, monkeys, undersea creatures of the deep, and- over the course of a few weeks-18 brave castaways, marooned on an island to fend for themselves. 

Why Fiji, dear viewer? Well, the producers have deemed it to be the most cost-efficient location we could find- and as an added bonus, the weather causes headaches for everyone involved on the production. Which usually means GREAT TV! 

We found 20 players to take part in one of the grandest social experiments of our time. Carefully luring each victim from their homes with promises of great power, we flew them out here, dumped them in the temperate waters of Fiji with nothing but a luxury item to fend for themselves like buckets of chum at SeaWorld. Two players already drowned at the offset (RIP Osten ), which is mildly hilarious and hopefully will boost ratings so we don’t have to keep advertising downtrending products such as the Nokia 2200 A.S.S. dumbphone, now with a 4.3 gigapixel camera and 2x1 inch display! Get yours now for the price of an Apple USB adapter!

For the remaining 18 mafia players, they will swim to the beach to form 2 tribes of 9; over the course of a month, they will compete in various challenges to test various qualities, and ultimately vote kill each other off the island in order to claim the title as the Sole Survivor! 

For now, the Alzheimers has taken its toll on my 89-year-old mind. Remind me again what each of you took as your luxury item? (One each please!)

OK So here's where I stand: I'm gonna win this biz, hands down no contest. The rest of you really only have two options: Fall in line or get taken out. Lemme break this down real nice and simple so nobody gets confused. I'm the best there ever was, the best there is, the best there will be. I'm the King. This is my house, you just live here.

So like I say, you got two options. Option One, pledge fealty to the King and join the Kingdom. You'll get fire, you''ll get food, you'll get the sweet satisfaction of victory. Anybody with the skills and the brains and the loyalty to join me is going to go far in this game, I'll tell you that right now. But I don't want no chumps, so if you chump out you might as well snuff that torch yourself.

I know what you're thinking, you're thinking "Oh man this guy's all talk, we'll just take him down." And that's the worst mistake you could make. I'm a beast, plain and simple. Try to take me on and you'll be watching the show back home quicker than you can say "Tribal Council".

OK Since this is the last time I'll be able to address you all at once for a while lets lay down some ground rules:




Starting now, everyone's on the totem pole system. Yours truly is the top of the totem, unchangeable, untouchable, ad infinitum. The one at the bottom of the totem, that's the one that gets the boot each Tribal as far as I'm concerned.

So how do you climb the totem pole you may ask?

First step is easy. Anyone who pledges their loyalties to me publicly in this thread gets bumped up the pecking order. Anyone who doesn't, gets bumped down. From then on, it's a merit based system. You do well in the challenges, provide for the tribe, and you get points. Slack off and you lose points.
