I understand this. But as there was a technical problem with the poll, you will have to be a bit more lenient or take the wrath of Elohcin. Because that would not be fair to us to place our votes for us and then penalize us for changing them. Especially if this same thing did not happen in the other tribe's thread. I'm serious....not joking. It's not our faults that there were technical difficulties and you were unclear on how we were supposed to remedy that.Scotty wrote:You can write about all the pretty rocks you want here in thread, but there can only one per option in the poll. I'm only looking at the poll.

I think it's more the fact that you're transparently basing who you want to vote for off of "who can I personally work with the least," instead of anything about my challenge performance, or my posts, or anything about me at all.
I'm sorry if I've gotten in the way of your game, Elo. It wasn't intentional on my part. I'm just over here working for the benefit of the tribe.

I'm worried that I missed the sound of the starter pistol that told everyone else it's now an alliance-based game of "who can we work with" where tribal lines are as useful as nipples on a breastplate. Meanwhile, I'm over here building a sandcastle with the phrase "MAMANA 4EVA," scrawled on the side, and pretending that people still care about challenge performance and camp life.
I mean, I know that's how the game will eventually go, but I thought tribal unity would be able to work for a little bit longer.

I'm not really directing that at Elo, btw. It's more a general statement.
Re: Survivor: Mafia [Night 3]
I mean, I do feel that's the nature of the game. At this point players can choose to either
1. Go after the players that mean to hurt the tribe.
2. Go after the players that mean to hurt personal alliances.
I'd hope that we are still doing the former.

I tried writing this and my internet went out for a sec. Trying again.
INH, I agree with you. I went into today all FOR THE TRIBE. In the past two nights of BTSC, I have had two of my BTSC partners lie to me. And that concerns me. I can't believe people are already starting to be dishonest. So...I am done with liars. I've been totally honest in BTSC so far. NO need to lie. at least night yet
I will not vote for you today, INH. I'm sorry if I came to wrong conclusions about you due to my bad memory and or insufficient observation of your activity.

I'm afraid we have some liars among us already who are forming alliances and lying to the others they have BTSC with. This is not good for our team as it will be difficult to do well when it comes time to merge.DharmaHelper wrote:I'm all about that Tribal Unity.insertnamehere wrote:I'm worried that I missed the sound of the starter pistol that told everyone else it's now an alliance-based game of "who can we work with" where tribal lines are as useful as nipples on a breastplate. It's funny, but in this situation, mob mentality and tribal unity is the same thing. And I'm not around as much on the weekend, so I'm just keeping up enough to assist in unifying the vote. This night, at the least.

What kind of King would I be if I let these accusations go unaddressed?
Eloh, the clock's a tickin. If you're going to trot out accusations of lying and anti-tribe behavior, I think we'd all appreciate (Myself included) if you could be more clear. If you can't, I have to ask why it is you bothered bringing that up.

Re: Survivor: Mafia [Night 3]
Sorry, INH....here you guys go.
I had BTSC with Boom Night 2. He lied to me saying he did not have BTSC with anyone else before me. He lied. He had BTSC with Opt. They had full game BTSC. Opt told me this NIght 2 in our BTSC. I trust Opt. She knew things about Bloom that he told me as well. Boom lied to me, so I voted for him over wilgy.
Right now, I have BTSC with Wilgy and Lorab. Lorab tried to be sneaky and ask me about Opt. I told her I really liked Opt. She seems great, trustworthy. Lorab said she thought she seemed great too and would try for BTSC with her next time. However, then she said later that she had BTSC with opt yesterday. Slip after an implied lie. She backpeddled a bit saying she wasn't trying to lie. She just didn't know if she wanted to share the info yet. SMH. And now, I find she is in BTSC this evening with chuck, but hasn't come back to talk to me. That's worrisome.

Originally I had thought she having the tribe in mind and this made me waver my vote in spite of our interaction. I don't know if this is the case anymore.

It's true, although you're the one that brought up Opt first. But, yes, I didn't reveal that I had had BTSC with her last night at first. Because I had that BTSC based on a mechanic that I didn't want to reveal at first, until I had established some trust with you. After some chatting, I felt good enough about you and your intentions in the game to reveal it, and so I did.Elohcin wrote:Sorry, INH....here you guys go.

I don't think that mafia, or survivor, is a game where we're expected to put all of our cards out there for every player from the outset. Sometimes, we wait to assess a situation to see how we feel about someone before we reveal some of our secrets and knowledge. Which is exactly what I did. It took me all of a half hour maybe to do that assesment and share the information about having the BTSC with Opt.
And, yes, I have BTSC with you and with Chuck this night phase--I've been public about that this whole time. I've also been public about my schedule this weekend. I was at work from around 1 pm until I got home around a half hour ago. It's a work intensive (albeit fun) Jewish holiday. Check the internet to confirm that I'm telling the truth on that. Look at my facebook page or any of my social media to confirm that I was, indeed, working this entire afternoon and evening.
I withheld some of my knowledge at the beginning of our conversation. I fully admit that. And I fully admitted that to you in our chat. I exect everyone else to withold some knowledge at the beginning of the conversation--I have yet to have a chat in this game where the opening of the conversation is role reveals, for instance. But, no, I never lied. And I wasn't chatting with anyone behind your back in this cycle.

This is disingenuous. After we had an initial conversation about Boom, I told you about my BTSC wiht her day 1. I never said I hadn't had BTSC with her--you probably assumed that. But I didn't say it. I never planned to lie about it, and I didn't lie about it.Elohcin wrote:And....I guess I can't call her saying she had BTSC with Opt a slip...that was wrong of me. I did and do have the tribe in mind. Always. That is why I didn't reveal all my cards to Elo in the first place. Because I don't trust anyone with all of my information in the first comments of a conversation--that just isn't in the best interest of the tribe.DrWilgy wrote:I'll be voting LoRab.

Re: Survivor: Mafia [Night 3]
And, if anyone is curious, here are the 2 things I said to Elo about Opt before revealing that we had BTSC the previous night:
"I definitely feel I want to protect and be true to Opt. It's my newbie nurture instinct."
"She seems great in the thread. I want BTSC with her next."
Again, Elo brought up Opt in our chat before I did, and I was responding to her comments. And, as I said, because our BTSC was based on a mechanic outside of the regular requests, I didn't want to initially reveal it, as it would reveal that mechanic.
After a bit more conversation about other matters, I said, "OK, as long as we're being honest...I also had BTSC with Opt yesterday."
I had not lied and said I did not have additional BTSC. I had not said I had not had BTSC with Opt. This was, not within a very long period of time.
Just to clarify what we're talking about, as Elo has described as being something that I don't think is accurate.

No matter what, unity is most important. We need to feel good about the 7 we go forward with. We shouldn't start creating fractures. I'm looking to vote in the way that I think most promotes unity.

Lorab, elo... question... do you feel like you can trust each other if you are both here tomorrow?

Oh lord. I left my phone at home while I was at work. Well this got busy! Just caught up. For the record no one has chosen charcoal at the beginning of the day so I selected that one as a choice, not because I was already there. We literally don't even know what the rocks do so taking any of them is a total gamble anyway- we have no information. Glad you guys worked it out...

I agree that the seven we have left need to be ready to stay strong. I really think we're at a tribe swap so we need to protect each other and hold our numbers or we'll get picked off

I tend to think so too. 14 is a pretty common number to swap at in an 18 player season.Opt_Outside wrote:I agree that the seven we have left need to be ready to stay strong. I really think we're at a tribe swap so we need to protect each other and hold our numbers or we'll get picked off
