I think Chuck and I came up with some good options to pick from, but I did want to highlight some good stuff from Wilgy here.

@Eloh, of course I'm smart, what exactly do you disagree with me on? that I'm unlucky ;^)

I'm gonna need everyone on the same page here. Wilgy barely escaped tribal after some very uncool shenanigans. I'm a benevolent King, but not one that suffers many insults or fools. Wilgy, as part of the tribe you're part of what gives us the win or the loss, so I'm willing to do a few things if you are.

The Anti-Wigly rules are temporarily lifted n the following circumstances:

Wilgy participates in challenges to the best of his ability
Wilgy provides food, fire, and shelter to the best of his ability
Wilgy is honest and forthright towards the tribe

If you break any of those rules, or I smell a whiff of you might possibly break one of them, or you misread one of them, or you so much as think sideways, and it's your ass.
Kay :^)

I will fight in spite of my illness. I think I can pull this off.
speedchuck wrote:Balance: High, Block, Low, Block, Block, High, Block, Low
Balance 2: Low, Block, High, Block, High, Block, Low, Block
I think it's also important to consider the defensive inverse orders i.e.
Block, Low, Block, High, Block, High, Block, Low.

In regards to this challenge I think we need to focus on our meta reads of our opponents. i.e. If you were against me would you expect me to be aggressive or defensive? If I saw I was facing myself I'd block 2, attack, block 1, attack, block 1, use remaining attacks.
I think between the three of us we've got the core pillars of the challenge figured out. If you're fighting, you should consider A) What'll get you points B) What'll keep you in the fight C) Your matchup's meta.

Strike a good balance with those three, and we should be in the clear.

Golden--your energy level is the same as Eloh's. If that's the case, then either of you can go. Up to y'all.

@DH, sure but why?
Because we all agreed that it's the priority for us to be taking care of food and water, and not looking for idols this round, with more than half of our camp sick.

Unfortunately, I do not still have mine. However, if I receive an extra fish as a result of my fishing today, I'll give it to Golden.

What's your energy level at? We probably can't have every sick person napping, and still have enough food and water for the camp.

We're better off having more food, I think. We all need to eat.

After a bit of fiddling I have a few findings

- I don't think Blocking should be an opener
- I think Low is a good one to use near the end/last
- I'm not sure how effective it would be to pick a strategy that's designed to score 20pts as fast as possible versus just trying to put points on the board.

It seems to be higher than Eloh's and Golden's I'm still at 18 and am not really concerned about energy, I'm just thinking of ways to remedy this sickness as it lasting long will in fact kill me and cause my body to explode... How unlucky :^(

I'll remain fishing then.

@Eloh, okie dokie. I'll send in my pm.

Only two of us are napping, those of us with the least amount of energy. I think we should be okay, right?

What I'm worried about is how sick we all are. There was nothing in the PM about getting better on our own. It said we would lose energy until we were out of the game unless "treated". We need to find out how to be treated. I don't think we will just all recover over time.

Here's kinda what I'm thinking,

We are losing optimum ability to use the food we gain as long as we remain sick and something needs to be triggered to cure us. I think I should try to check something out as this is a creeping problem.

Golden, will you participate in the challenge now that you have been fishied?

linki- kay, I'll go if no one has any dire food issues.

Maybe I should do the footbridge. It shouldn't take too much energy and if it's possible we could get 'treatment' there.

But I can't even understand the concept for how you 'treat' food poisoning... in the real world even.

I think it's just a matter of rest/hydration/good food intake. Which is why I'd like to get as much food and water for this phase.

(confirming that it's me, eloh, and lorab for btsc tonight?)

What did I do last night? other than not discuss DH? We have 3 sickies and 2 of them need to rest. Unless someone would like to come with me I don't know if there's a better means of us discovering a way to be treated.

Perhaps we just need to drink a whole lot of water however?

Cheers opt. I think two might be enough fishing for now. Although, actually, with your strength you might be a good fisher?

Should I slot in 7th for the challenge? I know that's the 'winner take all slot', but maybe we'll have it done before I have to compete?

Either that or maybe we want to put our strong players last? Not sure.

DH, as far as strategy goes, let's suppose that mine is a bust. I don't want to give away the first four with that. Nor do I want to put your strategy entirely on the sick/weak players that sign up last.
Let's throw up some options, pick the most suitable ones as being acceptable, and then let each player pick from the shortlist.

Balance: High, Block, Low, Block, Block, High, Block, Low
Balance 2: Low, Block, Low, Block, High, Block, Low, Block
Aggro 1: High, Low, Block, High, Block, Low, Block, Block
Aggro 2: High, High, Block, Low, Block, Low, Block, Block
Full Aggro: High, High, Low, Low, Block, Block, Block, Block

Just some suggestions.
One more suggestion - aggro with late ninja-stealth mode move

High, low, high, block, block, block, block, low

Either that or maybe we want to put our strong players last? Not sure.
Well.. I thought Wilgy was fishing but now he's going to the water well instead? I don't really think we need three people there... so right now there are only two of us fishing and three at the well. If wilgy changes back to fishing I can go to the footbridge. I don't particularly think I'd get a strength advantage fishing, but I'm happy to stay and try if that's what you guys prefer!

To our fellow survivors: Are there any of these options you would rather see eliminated? We have 6 options here, and I think if we get it down to 3 or 4 for the challenge, we'll be good to go. Then the fighters can select from the move lists.

Alternatively, if you think you have a good ordering to throw in, please do. Just keep in mind that we do want to narrow down, so it'd better be at least on the level of these plans.
I have an idea. It might be a bad idea, but it's an idea...

I think the other tribe is going to pick an approach and all do it. I just feel that in my gut. They'll decide what they think is the best approach, and run with it.

Perhaps our best approach is to mix it up. Use seven different patterns. If they go the same way every time, some of our patterns will be better and some will be worse.

I think the more strong players (like opt) should go as aggro as possible... they won't have weak moments. Weaker members should perhaps go more balanced.

I think two is enough for water. We had two last time and we all seem to be at about 9 or 10 for water.

Fish seems more important to me. Three fishing is good. We can explore the footbridge next time. I think the highest probability is these are potential idol hiding places anyway, and it might just be that we have to give up on that until we have a well tribe.

People, you should complete your spot in the order and your order of attacks so that we can all easily see the progression?

I'll do aggro 2 and it looks like I'm up first. Jeff edited the challenge and there's an order already posted

My moves will be high, high, block, low, block, low, block

And sounds good, Golden. I'll stick with fishing.

Also, as much as I'm enjoying writing here about Survivor Mafia, I now have to go write about actual Survivor so that my blog is done during the weekend. I'll pop in when I get moments.

My sleepy naptime boy, Jeff slotted us in order of when we signed up, which is why I delayed my signing up 'till like 5th which is my sweet spot.

We renamed our tribe Manamana anyway :p

For those who don't know, in a Pacific sense the word 'mana' is sort of hard for me to translate into English but it's sort of a combination of prestige and influence. Someone who comes into a room and has the immediate respect of the room is said to have 'mana'. They are the people who can speak softy for one minute and their words carry more weight than everything else going on around it.

That's mana. Let's live up to it!

I've already slotted everyone in the Challenge post!
1. Opt_Out vs Long Con
2. INH vs SVS
3. speedchuck vs Sorsha
4. LoRab vs DF
5. DH vs Quin
6. DrWilgy vs ______
7. Golden vs ______

As soon as the other tribe finishes their order, I can start tabulating.
When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather;
not screaming like the people in his car
