Mafia Championship S6 Scrimmage

For 17 players

Hello and welcome to The Syndicates Season 6 Tournament Scrimmage game. This game will be run as close to the authentic tournament structure and format as possible. The setup will be identical, but the software and the stakes will not. We're here to have fun and find out how the setup goes. So, to those who are new here, thank you for signing up, and have fun! For those who have played here before, thank you and have fun as well!

The Setup

This year's tournament setup is named Mad17. The setup features 13 Town vs. 4 Mafia
Complete details of it can be found by clicking the link. It features a full roster of power roles which are all limited to acting on designated nights. Role alignments are randomly determined, meaning that none of these roles are guaranteed to be either Town or Mafia/Wolf. Some abilities only apply to Mafia-aligned players, though. Refer to this chart:

Rules & Mechanics

Mechanics (Tournament Rules):
(These mechanics are copy & pasted from the Season 6 Information page on MU and will be consistent across all Tournament games.)

Role reveals at death are alignment only. You will not learn a player's exact role when they die.

Usage of night actions is optional, but unused actions will be lost.

Majority voting is not in effect.

Town wins when all threats to Town have been eliminated.

Mafia factions win when they achieve Parity and all other evil factions have been eliminated at any time.

Votes are automatically locked in at LYLO.

No Lynching is enabled. Vote for No Lynch to forgo a lynch that Day.

Mafia factional kills are optional. Mafia may submit a factional kill each night, but are not required to. However, starting night 5, the factional kill will be mandatory.

Mafia factional kills are assigned. They can be tracked, watched, or roleblocked.

Mafia share a factional Night Kill, which is a single standard shot for their faction.

Mafia members may perform the faction kill in addition to their regular action at the same time.

Mafia may communicate at any time.

Tied votes will result in a player being lynched at random from among the tied players.

Game thread will be locked at night.

Mechanics (Game-specific):

Days will be 48 hours long. Nights will be 24 hours.

Night actions must be submitted via Private Message to the Host (Sloonei)

Votes must be cast in the poll in order to count. Players are also encouraged to announce their votes in the thread for the sake of visibility.
- There is an optional [VOTE: Vote Tag] aubergine if players wish to use it, but this does not count as an official vote.

There is no posting-restriction. Players are free to exceed 200 posts per phase.

The Host will provide the Mafia team with an off-site channel for private communication.

Other House Rules
-Be kind to one another. Remember that this is a game that all of are willingly playing on the internet for the fun of it. Respect one another and honor the spirit of the game at all time. Our doors are open to folks from all over the world & internet, and it is our mission to foster a welcoming and friendly environment.
-It is customary on The Syndicate for every game to have a designated Moderator/Facilitator. It is the Mod/Facilitator's role to mediate in the event of personal/emotional dilemmas that might occur in the game. If at any point a player is upset by any actions of the game, they should not hesitate to contact the Mod for support. The facilitator for this game is juliets.
-This is dead red font. Any posts by dead players should be off-topic and in this color.
-This is off-topic green font. Off-topic content by living players/hosts should be in this color.
-This is non-player blue. People who are not participating in the game should post in this color, and should refrain from on-topic chatter.
-This will be the Host color. All official announcements from the Host will be in this color, and players should make an effort to avoid using it.

I encourage players to ask for clarification on anything else which may be unclear, whether it be issues of game mechanics/rules, or simply navigating The Syndicate's layout/interface. It's entirely possible that there is a potential issue which I'm not even aware of myself, so please do not hesitate to ask me about anything.

Using The Syndicate

I am aware that a number of you are new to The Syndicate for this game, so I'd like to provide some pointers on how to navigate the site.

To vote in the poll, simply select the option you wish to vote for and then click "Submit Vote" at the bottom of the poll.
- Votes in this game will always be changeable unless the game is in LYLO. I will announce if this happens.
- The poll will also display the Day End time. You can edit your timezone display settings in the User Control Panel.

ISO links will be provided as soon as possible in the first post.
- ISOs can also be reached by clicking the "Isolate Posts By _____" link beneath each player's avatar on the sidebar. Unfortunately, this function does not exist on the Mobile display.

There is also a Search function available in each thread. Please note, however, that there are 2 "Search" boxes at the top of the page: one of these will search the specific thread that you are in, but the other leads to a more general site-wide search.

There are two ways to send notifications to a player's inbox:
- Via a quoted post (Ex: Quoting Sloonei's post will send a notification to Sloonei)
- By using the [mention][/mention] function, or with a simple @ symbol before their name (Example: @Sloonei).

All varieties of text formatting options can be found in the buttons above your textbox. Do not hesitate to ask if you are unclear on any formatting issues.

Most importantly, we offer an extensive collection of Smilies here on The Syndicate. I personally encourage you to use them liberally.

I just want to say hello to everyone and reiterate that I'm the mod for this game and if you're not familiar with our site, I'm the one to come to if you are feeling a high degree of frustration or anger instead of letting that loose in the game thread. We find this helps to keep those emotions from detracting from the game experience for everyone. You may vent to me about whatever you want. Sometimes I can mediate and sometimes I know all you need is an ear to blow off some steam. Just pm me and I will get back to you as soon as I'm available. Have a great game everyone!

Maybe we don't have the same definition of scum? I guess for a baddie, townies are the scum. You know being the minority, the underdogs and all. I'm sure they believe they're the good guys.
