She tried to catch the action as everyone whirled through the galley. "What's...? Where's...?"

She scrambled out of her seat and ran after the captain and the cook, eager to find out just what sort of events transpired on her father's very favorite type of ship.

Ellie approached the hatch cautiously and gave a quick nod to Kitsune and Teddy, indicating she wanted Teddy to stand out of sight beside the hatch door and with another nod she indicated to Kistune she wanted him behind her but in sight. Hopefully seeing them armed might dissuade them from doing anything stupid. Perhaps it was a bit paranoid of her, but she wanted to be sure to cover all the bases. Stepping up to the small, dirty window, Ellie peered into the other ship. There were two men there. One she recognized as the captain she had spoken to earlier, the second had a duffel slung over his shoulder. She stood back and swept a glance over the guys, "Here we go."

She unlatched it and pulled it open, and stood in the door frame. "Welcome to Jenny Wren, Captain Gilbert."

He smiled and held his hand out for her to shake, "Captain McKee, can't thank you enough for lendin' a hand. And call me Silas."

Ellie flashed a warm smile and gave his hand a firm shake, "Don't mention it, Silas. I'd want someone to do the same if the tables were turned." She looked now to the lanky man standing beside him, "Is this our passenger?"

Silas nodded, "Aye, this is Lewis. He's my mechanic, he can take care of getting the part if you can get him to Santo."

"We can do that, and should be able to be back before your life support runs out."

The other captain nodded again and looking between Lewis and Ellie he said, "Then I guess we shouldn't waste any more time. Air is precious and I am partial to breathing."

So Ellie allowed Lewis inside and latched the door behind him, leaving Captain Gilbert looking on from the other side.

Turning now she introduced their new guest to the boys, "Lewis, this is Kistune and Teddy," she grinned at the guys, still with their guns pointed at him, "I think we can stand now boys."

For the first time Ellie realized Fiona was standing there. If she had realized it sooner she would not have let the girl stay. If it had gone south she might have gotten injured. "And this is a passenger of ours..." she didn't see the usefulness in a stranger knowing about her other passengers and so instead she spoke to Fiona, "Well girl, had enough excitement for an evening?"

She grinned as a thought crossed her mind, "How do you feel about a game of cards?" Glancing around she went on, "In fact, how do you all feel about a game of cards?"

Crossing the cargo hold she hit the comm to the cockpit, "Jane, release the docking clamps and take us to Santo by the quickest most direct route. Make sure to let me know when you here from ground control."

Turning back to the others she gave a quick head jerk towards the stairs, "I think Mr. Kitsune cooked us some grub already, and I can get the cards out. That is... if you all think you can stand being beat by a woman." She grinned and winked at Fiona.

"Lewis, You can have the third room on the right. Make yourself at home, and then meet us upstairs in the Galley for some fun."

So saying, Ellie led the way back upstairs.

Jass? Klootzakken? I simply adore Klootzakken!"

Her eyes shone brightly as she tucked her hair behind her ears. "And I'm really, really good at Telesina, but... sometimes I cheat because my father taught me to play and he used to gamble. But that's probably more than you needed to know. As usual."

Shooting Kitsune a "you wish" look, Ellie retrieved some cards and the group settled down at the table to pass some of the time. She noted that their guest didn't seem too interested in joining in the game she called to her young mechanic, "Timmy! How about you give our new friend a tour of Jenny, eh? However, I no longer want to neglect my writing here. So I posted this short bit here to stir a bit of activity while I prepare a longer post this weekend to move the storyline forward. From now until Sunday night you can write about how your character spends the evening, if you want to write about paying cards, or doing something else, the sky is the limit. Enjoy yourself, because the story is about to get a bit more... Interesting. ;) thanks for sticking with me guys!

Jane leans back in her pilot seat, staring out into the black of space, idly spinning the chair. She checks the readings once again, there had been an Alliance cruiser they passed near to earlier in the night, but now it was nearly 400 hours and no sign of anyone else and it would be another twenty six hours to Santo. As she looked over the readings however she saw that in about forty five minutes they would need to pass through and asteroid belt, which was going to require some maneuvering. Ellie would need to be alerted before they entered, but Jane figured for now she would let the Captain get some more sleep.

A faint noise from behind caught her attention and just as she turned to look, a heavy piece of pipe crashed down against the side of her skull. The slight woman was a fighter, but she was no match and toppled over like a twig in a windstorm. Lewis set the pipe on the floor gently. Last thing he wanted to do was wake anyone else up. Pushing her limp body aside, he settled down in the pilot seat and set to work on locking all other control panels out, giving him sole control over Jenny. Then he set course directly for the asteroid belt. A beep on the console told him his partners were coming to meet them.

Half an hour later the crew is wakened to the sound of another ship docking with Jenny Wren. And before anyone can get to the hold and try to keep them out, a crew of seven men has entered the ship, all heavily armed.

The man in charge, a short and stout man with black hair that is starting to gray and a few nasty looking scars on his face and neck motions to two of his men and orders quietly, "Cale and Brock, you two cover the upstairs corridor. Jones and Mike, you guys take the downstairs quarters corridor. Make sure anyone who wakes up is kept in their rooms. Shoot them if they get fussy about it."

He turned with a smile to look over the cargo hold and said to the two remaining men, "The three of us will search this hold until we locate where they hid their cargo. It'll still need to delivered, the people on Greenleaf won't be too fussy about who brings it to them. Let's move people!"

With that, the group split up to carry out their various tasks.

Ellie had been sleeping heavy, but even in her sleep, the sounds of metal scraping against metal as their uninvited visitors docked with Jenny Wren woke her up. She sat up in confusion, and throwing off her sheets she ran out into the corridor, overlooking the fact she was in her sleeping clothes which consisted of some comfortable flannel shorts and a tank top. She turned toward the cockpit and blinked in surprise. Jane almost always kept the door open yet now it was closed. She hurried over and tugged on the handle, finding to her dismay that it didn't budge. Ellie peered in through the tiny window and what she saw made a feeling of dread knot up her stomach. Lewis back faced her as he sat at the controls of the ship and on the floor she could see Jane laying in pool of blood. Ellie banged on the door,"Lewis you guay toh guay nown, open this ruttin' door RIGHT NOW!"

The sound of a gun cocking behind her brought her about and she found herself looking at two large men, both pointing their guns at her. Ellie crossed her arms and said, "Don't recall givin' you boy s an invitation to breakfast. Mind tellin' me what the hell you are doing on my ship?"

"Well, well, got a pretty little captain on our hands now don't we Brock?" the man with long blonde hair that seemed like it could use a good washing leered at her. Brock snickered from behind Cale and Ellie shot him a glare. Cale went on, "No worries gorgeous, once we take the goodies off your hands, we'll leave your little ship. Now I recommend you head into your bunk."
She eyed them both for a moment and decided this might not be a bad idea. At least it would give her time to think...

As she headed back into her quarters Cale called after her, "And if you're lucky I might be in after a bit to join you!"

"I'll cut your ruttin' ji ba off if you even try," she muttered under her breath.

Kitsune was asleep on his bed, naked, as he usually does, his faced being supported up up above his body by a pillow, his mouth open with a large flow of drool streaming onto his arms. the faint sound of a body hitting the floor woke him up with a start. However as soon as his conscious mind was back in control his body firmly reminded him why three day old Chinese pepper stake was more brutal then the first. "OH GOD" jumping up and kicking the wall to release the toilet which he immediately sat down on. doing so alerted him to a new and more horrifying problem. "Oh this is ganna hurt how am i ganna pass such a behemoth."

as if the universe loved answering his questions in a humorous way a large man slid open his door which tragically looked strait at the toilet.

Startled by the man threw his hands up. "Well I need not worry how to pass it now it just kinda happened"

the man was pointing a gun at him with one hand and he had a pair of bola balls in his other. .

Kitsune looked at the odd choice of weapon having tested the use fullness of them before.not a very practical modern entangling weapon to have "Question do those work for you"

The man looked at him quickly then saw were he was looking "Na not really I cant get the balls to do what i want when i need them too, do you know how to make them work?" seeing the decor in kitsunes room and figuring him for a weapons man.

With out missing a beat kitsune interrupted "Did you try working the shaft"

"Oh i see what you did there, I guess I walked right into that one. I guess your ganna be difficult"

"Well probably" kitsune replied with a look of arrogant delight on his face.

"Guess Were ganna have to keep an eye on you then, get up and get into the cargo bay"

"Um can i get dressed first" whipping himself

"shoulda thought of that before you became a smart ass" motioning with his gun to move

"Alright alright standing strait up hands over his head."

"Yea that's.. MY GOD WHAT IS THAT"

"Been so long sense you seen yours you forgot what one looks like has it"

unable to speak he was so mad he kicked kitsune in the back down the corridor were he was meet by another armed man.

"WOW WHAT THE HELL MAN! why are you naked, Why is he naked"jones said to mike

"Your friend back there wouldn't let me get dressed and forced me to come out here" kitsune answered

"He was being difficult" mike said as he began to look into the room across from kitsunes

"Were you now" jones asked kitsune

"He asked how to work his balls"

"Did you tell him to work the shaft"

"Yes."

"Nice" giving kitsune a high five

"I know right, See i wasn't being difficult just honest"

smiling jones nodded his head back to kitsunes room "Get back in there and take your pet iguana with you before it bites someone."

"Thanks" with a slight chuckle

"What the hell" mike shouted at jones

"Boss said lock them in their room and besides i don't want to watch over a naked man do you?"

Mike looked up in confusion at the strange sounding voice hollering down the hall. He was only a mere four feet from her door when she came out but she was facing the other direction, so he quickly covered the distance and grabbed her by the arm to spin her around and look at her. A little girl? She couldn't even be legal yet, what was she doing on this bucket of bolts? He glanced at Kitsune's room, recalling all the weapons the man had in there. Jones had been stupid to send that one back in his quarters. Maybe this girl was the solution to the naked man problem. He smirked and gripped Fiona's arm tighter and pulled her close to him, pointing the gun at her as he said, "Looks like I just found me the perfect hostage!"

Meanwhile in the cargo hold, general chaos was ensuing. The three men were ripping it apart, searching every cubby and hidden compartment they could find. If Timmy could see them now, he would have a seizure. Finally their leader yelled for them to stop. He jerked his head towards the stairs, "I'm tired of wasting my time, bring me the captain."

Timmy wrote:After Ellie had told him to give Lewis a tour of the ship. He gave Lewis a different kind of tour, which Timothy was really good at. He always nearly had a skill to even make non ‘sly’ Ji ba fall for his filthy mischief. Timmy hadn’t noticed that Lewis had left him from the engine room to the flight deck. Meanwhile he was given a large wrench that he held on to it like a teddy bear! After a while he hadn't noticed that the warm arm that he was sleeping on turned in to a wrench. This didn’t bother him as he had awoken with odder objects in hand and a wrench is quite normal. He had gone back to sleep to only be awoken by a thug. That he wouldn’t know it be a vessel coupling with her Jenny. Timmy was in a daydream when he got up from his bed(, the floor). He walked off in his bare self in to the galley. To only have men, Cale and Brock pass him and not noticed Timmy, just ducking down behind the counter. On the floor he found a shiny coin that he cuffed and slipped it in to his pocket.

The ‘coin’ was actually a scrap of very thin tin, that ended up falling back on the ground. As Timothy had no pockets as he had not been wearing clothes to begin with. He awoke finally completely standing in the middle of the lounge. Something in him woke him, something more like the ship called out to him. Jenny was in trouble he felt it. Whether that was true or not he had a connection with the ship and he was paranoid and knew when Jenny Wren was being violated! Timmy realized also he was naked and he scampered behind the counter and pulled out a kitchen’s apron. He wore it; as he remembered ‘Cap’ telling him not to be being bare in front of the kid, Fiona. Timothy was clothed! Well for the most part but his bum and upper chest. He grabbed a frying pan and a Px5 Pistol that he kept hidden. He began to follow the noises to the cargo bay, to only turn about and go down the stairwell to the guest lodgings. He heard Fiona and he bolted down to see her struggling from a large ugly Ji ba mad handling her. Timothy was quiet! He had a lot of practice sneaking boy and men folk on Jenny without ‘Cap’ Ellie from knowing. Or at least he thought that she didn’t know. Timmy snuck up the large man, Mike. All that could be heard was a simple and clean “POP” It was a iron skillet that smacked Mike on his head. He was out cold or possibly dead. Timothy looked like a twink but he has his own strength.

So he quickly grabbed Fiona and they dashed up the stairwell to the galley. Again Timmy had this nack to always be in a place where the intruders weren’t. ‘Shhhh girl!’ He even gestured it in case she didn’t hear him ‘We been boarded and we got to save Jenny!’ In his mind he pets Jenny comforting her in her torment, to only in reality his actually rubbing the wall with his bum. He snaps out his dazes and pulls open a panel from the wall. He picks up Fiona and pushes her in. ‘Lets go in here!’ As he sees her moving a bit in side the air ducks, he slips in to the vent too and closes it behind them. Timothy hands the frying pan to Fiona, ‘You need that more then me! We’re gonna be safer in heres OK?’ He ranted on quietly about how the insides of Jenny was as tight as a…. at this point whether Fiona was listening to him or not. It were a good idea she wasn’t or her innocents would be taken from her by Timmy’s thoughts alone. He finally stopped talking and moving and turned to Fiona. ‘Are you OK? Little gal? I mean I reckon you haven't been manhandled or threaten like that ems before? Am I wrong?’ Even how odd Timmy might have looked to her or as insane. He wouldn’t let anything happen to her and they were headed to his bedroom. So he can get properly dressed and loaded up with more guns. Also make Fiona look like a little slinger in her own right to take back the ship or at least look like they would.

Quickly Kitsune put on the mask and picked up his tazer. He had to move fast, he was about to slide open the door when he heard jones lightly chuckle.

"Thats what you get for trying to scare her. a knot on your head." walking over to the face planted Mike.

Kitsune was relived but he still had to get control of the situation. just as Jones bent down to check on Mike kitsune opened his door and gathered in the scene. Mike was laid out jones had his back to Kitsune and the girl was gone. He smiled under his mask lifted his tazer aimed it just as jones was begining to turn to look. "Uh uh uh no peaking" pulling the trigger the two darts sank into the side of jones neck causing his head and shoulder to connect as if to grab the wires.

Half a heart beat latter jones heard two sounds the one the electricity hitting him followed by the crapping of his pants.

"Dear lord i think he shit him self" puling out a half dozen zip ties from his jacket pocket. "Yea he did woof" the smell hitting him as he bent down to restrain the two men. the taze would ware off soon enough so he'd best get them two tied up and stuffed into a room. Then an idea hit him. "Light bulb:"

He dragged the two men into his room gagged them with used socks, putting a rubber ball stinger grenade firmly in Mikes butt cheek and tying the pin off so if anyone released them it would detonate and knock everyone out with little rubber balls.......and probably give Mike a ass beating the likes o which would make him crap funny the rest of his life. A smile crossed over kitsunes face at the thought. "Its the simple things in life, you pick on a little girl I shove a stinger in your ass.... wait that came out wrong." his audience was out cold and the other shocked so it really didn't matter. "Gentlemen its been lovely as always please enjoy your stay and well try not to move otherwise your ganna do more then wreck your undies this time. he looked mike over. And i doubt you brought a change of them ..." slapping him a couple times on the head "didn't think so".

Kitsune took out a flash bang a pair of smoke grenades (Gray and a white) and his ammo. he took some pepper rounds and loaded them into his gun followed by so tri shock rounds. he loaded his 4510 with shot rounds and holstered it behind him. Finally his las gun he loaded with all pepper rounds. A bullet through the hull would be a bad thing sides all he had to do was hit near a person with pepper rounds to cause vision, breathing and focusing problems. With that he figured he'd make his way to the engine room detonate a flash bang with anything else he could find to simulate an explosion then drop the two smoke grenades to simulate the engine blew and cause these F****** to fall back to the cargo bay at least if not their own ship.

"hope that girls alright" slinking off down the corridor for the spiral stairs at the end just before the cargo bay. He heard in the distance what amounted too three voices. ok minimum three on lower he told him self not counting the two in his quarters. he climbed the stairs and began making his way to the engine room staying crouched down as best he could.

Gave her an odd glare and was about to say, however, have been cut off by Fiona. She stated to him that a frying pan is used for cooking and why he was naked. Timmy looked at himself, saw what he had on and then looked at Fiona. He looked at her with an odd glare. He thought if one was naked he wouldn’t have anything on. So the apron isn’t clothing? He thought. ‘Oh, I was giving Lewis one……’ Then the little girl started to wave the pan about. His thought raced. Thinking it was good that he handed her the pan and not the pistol. Timmy was to darn adorable to be shot about. Then again a pan would leave a mighty sized blemish. So, what he did was the only logical one could Timmy could do. He grabbed the pan not from her hand just to enough to bring it down the air shaft’s ground. Which would have Fiona’s hand down so Timmy could take his right hand and slap her. Timothy was a man! However, was not a gentlemen. He waited till the ‘little girl’ had his attention. ‘This hear is a ‘pan’!’ He gestured it to her while saying it ‘It is used for many things other then cook em eggs. As you saw it used to knock them thug to the floor. Not you about where you come from but as poor folk. We use what we got. So, ‘little deaf girl’? you get me?’ He crawled off, with the pan! Thinking that the little girl could scare them thugs with her mouth alone. Timothy started to ramble. ‘Crazy deaf girl! How would one smart girl as her not know a skillet is used for smackin. Well you could use a frying pan as a hammer too and maybe…….’ He even continued to talk even after they arrived at his quarters. It was an odd sight to actually see Timmy in his room. Upon seeing it you couldn’t imagine that this even existed. He pulled off the apron, ‘and this here ‘little girl’ is naked! Meet big Timmy…….’ He trailed off again; rambling about guns and donkey and how their both hung and loaded. How would one could be used in the same context and yet in different applications too. ‘So, with that said a frying pan can be used as whacking and cooking. Not wanking! There is a huge difference there! In case you were confused about the donkey talk and the frying pan.’ He got dressed and loaded up. They headed out through the sliding door from his well enclosed room. They were on the very top deck of Jenn Wren. Their they can hear em thugs with ‘Cap’ Ellie. It was a nice spot to shoot from. He hands the iron skillet back to Fiona. ‘Now, I reckon you understand what a frying pan can be use for aside from cook em eggs? Or you need em run around the donkey and hung guns again? He patted her on the head like a good kitten.’ ‘Odd deaf girl.’ He uttered under his breath, while ducking down looking on what they did to Jenny and how he could find an advantage point.

"Shark skin can be used as sandpaper... A mile on the ocean is not the same as a mile on the land... a nautical mile is six-thousand eighty feet while a land mile is five thousand two-hundred eighty feet... All porcupines float in water... Ninety-six percent of candles purchased are used by women... Giraffes can use their tongues to clean their ears..."

Fiona sucked in a breath, wringing her hands. "And frying pans are most definitely always supposed to be used for cooking!"

Kitsune pulled with all his might and slowly he felt the wires giving. Finally they snapped out with a crackling sound followed by all the lights turning off. "Huh" pulling out his zippo and lighting it he kneels down and reads the wires. Light fixtures. "Woopsiee" this put a hamper on his plan but didn't make it imposable but finding the right wires for oxygen scrubbers was now out since his zippo would be a dead give away that some one was in here. So he did the math and made a run for the liquid he had pored over the entrance only to slam into a big metal object mid run. "Right right" picking himself up he remembered the lay out of the room, he could only blame it on him self for hitting that. He reached the entrance, pulled the pins on all three grenades and began to hobble in the direction of the stairs hopping no make it there before he was hit with the concussion blast from the grenade. He reached the stairs but oddly the flash bang hadn't gone off. "Huh" he turned to look and just as he did it went off blinding him as well as disorienting him now that his senses were busted causing him to fall down the spiraling stairs back first.

Jane wrote:Location: Jenny Wren Cockpit

It’d been a long night, Jane was tired. She was munching on one of her old stale protein bars that she had in her pack when she came on board while she contemplated doing a few barrel rolls to liven things up… “Dern sleepers” She muttered with a chuckle. She had been keeping to the Flight Deck for most of the time; she wanted to stay away from Teddy as well as Kitsune for as long as humanly possible, she didn’t trust either one of them. With the bounty on her head as large as it was she didn’t need to be recognized.

Jane finished up her bar, checked her readings, it seemed that they were going to head through an asteroid belt in a little under an hour. She would wake the Captain in good time to help navigate, but sleep was more important, so Jane let her rest for the time being. So Jane oscillated back and forth in her squeaky chair, mind a million miles away, she wished Bella were here to experience this. Jane’s stomach rumbled, “Ick, maybe I shoulda skipped the bar…” she muttered to herself, it was very stale, but food was food. She stopped oscillating though, no sense making it worse she thought.

The fact that she stopped was the only way she knew something was off, someone was coming up behind her, she turned reaching for ‘nutcracker’ but she was too late. The poor vision in her left eye only caught a shadow of someone before pain exploded on that side of her face, and the world went black…

The blackness lasted seconds, minutes, hours, days?

Jane’s consciousness swam up through the blackness, it felt as if she were being shaken violently, it made her stomach churn. She didn’t open her eyes, she kept still trying to get her bearings, and this would be much easier if she wasn’t being moved, as each thrust sent pain screaming through her head and the blackness threatened to take over once again. She did her best to ignore it, she had been hit, she wasn’t dead, though maybe whoever did it thought she was, and that was a possible advantage. That was beside the point, could she move? Not without letting whoever hit her know she was awake/alive. She tried opening her eyes a crack, her left eye was facing up and either was swollen shut or she had finally gone completely blind in it. Her right eye could see the floor and the right flight station, nobody was there. Where was the intruder? Who?

A new pain was surfacing, deep in her abdomen, one that told her that her attacker was male. It also explained why he wasn’t at the controls. The thought of what he was doing made her sick to her stomach, however Jane was now pissed, the shot of adrenalin cleared her mind enough to take in more of her surroundings, and form a plan while she laid there pretending to be dead. The vibrations of the deck plating told her that they not only weren’t blazing through the black, but stationary and docked with another ship.

His thrusts were speeding up, which meant she would probably have a small window in which he was vulnerable, where she could attack. She hoped that there was nobody else in the room because this would probably be the last thing she ever did. The thrusts stopped as his body tensed. Jane was ready when he backed off, she came up on her elbow to his surprised face and she thrust her foot into his groin with as much power as she could muster. Lewis toppled over wordlessly with a very stunned look on his face. Jane stood, slowly, her whole body ached, and she was still bleeding from the left side of her face as well as other areas below her bellybutton. She spat at Lewis and went over to her shredded pants, she ripped off pieces of fabric to gag and hogtie him. At least he had left her bikini top on, she didn’t want to think about sliding that over her head, and despite the bleeding Jane slid her, thankfully still intact, underwear and peeked out the small window into the corridor. She ducked down, 2 well armed ad armored men guarded the Captains quarters. Thinking made her head hurt and her stomach churn, but she needed to get rid of those 2 problems and free the captain, all without making much noise, oh and without passing out or vomiting…

Her gun and ‘nutcracker’ in hand Jane crept over Lewis and to the comm panel; she knew this idea was a risk, but she didn’t think she could take on those brutes without the captain’s help, especially in her current state. Jane opened a comm to the captain’s quarters, praying that it was quiet enough and didn’t alert the thugs she whispered “Cap’n…?”

There are eight intruders on Jenny Wren. Lewis has been tied up by a heavily injured Jane in the cockpit. Kitsune and Timmy have take care of Mike and Jones, who are now tied up in Kitsune's quarters. Cale and Brock have just come to take Ellie to see their boss Jessie, who is in the cargo hold with two other men. So that leaves five men we still need to take out. Kitsune has taken out the lights so on the way to the cargo hold Ellie has found herself thrown into pitch black darkness with her two captors. I am unsure what Timmy and Fiona's locations are currently, but I believe Kitsune was at the foot of the spiral staircase. This is where we will pick up. I believe given the diversion that Kitsune has provided for her, Ellie could take out the two guys escorting her to the cargo hold. It will be up to Kitsune, Timmy, Fiona and Teddy (not sure where Teddy has been in all this) to take out the three guys in the cargo hold. Sound like a plan team? :) Let's do this!

Ellie was walking in front of Cale and Brock, who both were keeping their weapons trained on her. Clearly they had no trust for her, and she couldn't blame them, seeing as she would have killed them in a heartbeat if the opportunity had presented itself. Her mind was going over and over the situation, she was searching for some advantage, something she could use to throw them off guard, all she needed was a little distraction. These boys weren't bright, a distraction would be all it would take and she could handle them. Just as she passed Timmy's room, the lights cut off. "That will do just fine," she thought top herself as she dropped to the ground and stealthily pressed against the wall, sliding back to position herself behind the two men. Her hands explored along the wall until she found what she knew was there. It was a wrench she had been trying to get Timmy to put up in the engine room for about two weeks. But for all his brilliance, that boy had the attention span of a canary. Right now, she was glad for it. Her fingers clasped the handle and she stood slowly, her eyes were adjusting. The guys were cursing and fumbling around, waving their guns in the air, "Goram it, where did that bitch go?!" Cale said, shoving Brock out of his way. Ellie pulled back and let swing, landing a hard blow to Brock's temple. She could hear the crunch of his skull shattering and felt the blood splatter. His body hit the floor with a dull thud. Unfortunately, Cale was alerted to her position now, since she gave herself away by killing his buddy. Needless to say he was pretty pissed off now too. He cocked the gun and pointed it in her direction, and she knew in this tiny corridor he didn't need to have perfect aim to do some damage. Just as he was about to fire, Jane burst in at the end nearest the cockpit, "Captain!" Only a fraction of a second later, Kitsune's flash bang went off in the engine room. And Cale's surprised response was to fire. Ellie winced, and was gratified to realize a moment later that she had not been hit. But the sound of another body hitting the floor told her someone else had. She knew it had to be Jane. Ellie dropped low and swung the wrench with all her strength, taking out the man's kneecap. He cried out in pain, and with a lot more swearing fell to the ground. Ellie grabbed his gun from the floor where he dropped it as he had clutched at his now broken knee. She didn't hesitate and fired a single shot straight into his head. She looked back now to where Jane was laying on the floor, and moving over to her she knelt down in her pooling blood. She still had a pulse and was breathing, but it was raspy, Ellie guessed she had been struck in the lung. "Hold on girl, I need a pilot, remember?" Jane nodded with a wry grin, "I'm trying, but you might want to start advertising the opening. You better go take care of the rest of the go se trying to take the ship from you." Ellie nodded, "I will, but hang on alright, we'll get you fixed up as soon as we dispatch these thugs."

Leaving her mortally wounded pilot in the corridor, Ellie crept along to the top of the spiral staircase in the galley and listened to try and determine what might be happening below deck and how to best proceed.

Low wrote:Planet: Greenleaf

Liam strolled down the street in the noon sun, it was hot and humid as one would expect from a jungle world like Greenleaf. He’d found work here as it wasn’t easy to come by a place to lay low and make a decent wage. He had been hired by one of the local drug consortiums to protect their merchandise in transit from their warehouses to the space port for transport to the other worlds. Today was just like any other. He walked along the horse drawn carriage his rifle carried low but ready.

“Low!”

Liam craned his neck to look up at the fat bastard sitting on the buckboard, “Yeah boss!”

The large man pointed ahead at a crowed which had gathered around a market stall, it was blocking progress. It was a delay they couldn’t afford and a danger to them becoming boxed in. “Get them folks out of the way!” he said sternly.

Liam nodded, and headed forward his limp becoming more apparent, he slowly came to a stop as he neared the crowd. “Hey!” he shouted. “We got cargo coming through. Clear the way!” he said.

As he finished his sentence the crowd parted to show a man who lay bleeding in the street, it was clear that he had been shot. This would most certainly make them late. The magistrate would not look kindly on moving the body. But something didn’t feel quite right to Liam, the wound wasn’t a fatal one, it was just a shoulder wound. That was until the man jerked and his iron came up. Liam saw the powder puff and felt the white hot sensation of metal through flesh as the bullet passed right through his shoulder. The world spun and he went to the ground.

There were screams filling the street, and a torrent of gunfire as the ambush was set. Liam blinked away the pain but lay there, he could see the large man he came to know as “Fat Bastard, or Billy Koontz, he didn’t care too much either way. As his senses came too him he craned his head and looked up to see the man who had shot him firing at the other guards who scrambled for cover. “Hey!” he spat.

The man looked down in alarm and started to bring his irons around to finish him, but Liam’s rifle reported first sending a shot up through the man’s stomach and no doubt out a shoulder blade. He immediately fell. Liam took stock of his surroundings and slowly pulled himself over to the stall and lay with his back against it watching the scene unfold. One by one each of the guards fell but they too took their fair share. In the end there was only three remaining bad guys.

“Well what do we have here!” the man said approaching him.

“Jamison…” Liam said flatly.

“Well Low, I warned ya that you would be finding yourself on the other side of my irons again. I believe this is the part where you surrender right?” he nodded to the rifle in his hand. “That’s a mighty fine piece of hardware you’ve got there.”

“Jamison!” Liam said a bit more forcefully.

“Yeah Low?”

“What do you want me to say over yer grave?”

“What?” the man balked standing up looking down at him. His companions flanking him. “You’re a bit overcon…”
Three shots rang out in quick succession from Liam’s pistol. He drew it in a flash faster than most would think he capable. To be honest they were close enough that it didn’t take much skill to rock back his iron and fan the hammer. He sat there for a long while listening to Jamison gurgle on the last bits of his life. He got up slowly from his position, slung the rifle and surveyed the situation. People had already started ransacking the cart. He didn’t have enough bullets for them, and he was certainly out of a job. Turning he started down the street, turning into a place called the Drunken Spacefarer.

There were people still cowering inside from what had just happened, and knew that most likely the local law would be descending upon the area soon. Liam pushed through the crowed at the door and dropped into a chair at a table putting his bad leg up on a chair. “Whiskey Sour! Make it a double!” he shouted across the bar getting the bar tenders attention. The first one went down burning all the way, he tossed it quickly wanting that feeling right now to help dull the wound which he was certain was a through and through. He sat there and turned the tumbler in his hand watching the liquid. He almost had a job and a place to settle. That bastard Jamison likely just made it impossible to find a job, and because he survived.

Finding no further injury he hoisted him self up using the stairs and began to move out. from time to time catching light in his eyes which seemed to not close at the pain of the light. He assumed his face was swollen open though he did not know if that was medically possible. he imagined what his eyes would look like to someone in the dark.

then he chuckled a little thinking of what he was going to say and all he could come up with is "Hi" but maybe in a creepy almost like you finally noticed I was in position for surprise butt secks voice.

just then a light fell upon him a light from a torch.

Liam settled into his chair on about his third drink by the time the law arrived on the scene, they very quickly took stock of what had happened between all the dead bodies, the looted caravan and eye witnesses. It wasn’t until Liam spotted a woman pointing back towards the bar he was in that he got anxious. He’d been pointed out essentially and he knew that was likely to happen. The constable threaded his way through the crowed and came slowly through the door scanning the room as he came in, and for a moment Liam thought he was good until the officer’s eyes came back around.

The older man with a handlebar mustache crossed the room toward him, he leaned against a post about four feet away, one of his hands close to his iron. The other he gently wiped across his brow. “Mighty humid today.” He said flatly watching Liam closely.

Liam tipped back another drink and set the tumbler down on the bar. “Indeed.” He nodded. “What can I do for you, constable?”

The constable lingered for what seemed like a few minutes considering his words. “Heard that you might have been part of that situation out there.” He jutted a finger behind him back towards the caravan. “Was hoping you could shed some light on what happened.”

“Gorram gangsters,” Liam gestured with his good arm out towards the mess in the street. “Jumped us coming up, staged a body in the road to draw a crowd. Boss sent me to check it and took a bullet for it!” he gestured with his hand to the stain. “Twas a fair shooting!” Liam nodded with confidence at the man.

“You shoot someone?” the constable shifted uneasy.

Liam Nodded. “Yup.”

“Which one’s?”

Liam pointed out the window near one of the stalls where three laid together. “Those ones.” He gestured through the door. “The one in that mint looking shirt, he was the one that shot me!”

The constable nods, “That sounds about right. Who do you work for?”

“Miller & Lowrey” Liam said, the words dripped from his tongue with a mournful tone.

The constable’s eyebrow rose, his face said exactly what Liam already knew. “Boy, you’re in it aren’t ye?” the constable started for the door quickly, it was clear that he didn’t want to be near this place any longer than he had to now. He scampered off through the doors back out into the street. But the door’s stopped swinging abruptly after he left. Several other people left quickly, abandoning both food and drink.

Liam could see it written on the bar keeps face, he tapped the counter asking for another drink. Despite his shaking hands the man managed to put together the drink and then put distance between himself and Liam. Liam took a drink from the tumbler and rolled the glass in his hand. “You here to kill me?”

The boots were heavy across the floor as the rather large man moved his way across the bar and came to a stop to Liam’s right. “That’s not necessarily how it works every time Liam.” The large man slowly hefted himself onto a bar stool. “Give me what he’s having!” he said pointing at the bar keep then the bar.

“fàng pì!” Liam looked over at the man. “You expect me to believe that!”

“If you’d prefer it, it could be arranged.”

“Very Goraam funny Lowery, so what do you want?” Liam said taking another drink.

The large man slapped him on the shoulder. “You did me a favor today by taking out a couple of people who were high up on my list. It balances the books in my opinion.” Clayton Lowrey took a drink as well and nodded puckering his lips.

“But?” Liam stated flatly.

“Miller is an issue!” the large man shifted his weight and slid off the stool. “I’m afraid he does not forgive as easy, or forget. So I came to give you some advice!”

“Run?” Liam asked turning to watch the man heading for the door.

“He’s off world, so I give you about eight to ten hours to get your things and get off world if you want to live. He will want blood, even if he takes it out on the gang that took from him. He will take your life because you failed us. That’s how he does business. No loose ends, no failures.” The large man stopped at the door. “I like ya Low, that’s why I’m giving you this courtesy. Run while you can.” He disappeared with that and was gone leaving him in silence.

“So what are ya gonna do boy?” The Bar keep offered him another drink now that he was able to get his voice back.

“Run I suppose!”

“You can’t run forever.”

Liam nodded. “That’s the truth! But I will until I’m ready to stop!” he shook his head. “Not my first rodeo.”

Graham piled the coin on the counter in front of the thin and pasty woman. She collected them up greedily and offered a somewhat plastic smile, "Pleasure having you stay with us here at my little bed and breakfast. Come and see me again next time you're on Greenleaf Dr.Graham. And I hope you'll recommend me to your friends."

He tipped his black fedora at her with a smile and placed it on his head, "One last thing Miss Brechtal, can you direct me to a place where I could get a drink?"

She looked slightly surprised by the request but gave him directions to the Drunken Spacefarer, just inside town. Then watched him leave, hopping into a wagon that had been called to give him transport into the town. She rarely got paying guests anymore, the bigger hotels in town usually snatched them up much more quickly. So she was sad to see him, and his coin, go.

He thanked the driver as he stepped down off the wagon and surveyed the town. Greenleaf prospered as a result of the booming medical research business that had taken root on the planet. The unique plant life had some amazing medicinal properties it seems and there was money to made in that. If he had been there under different circumstance, Graham might have wanted to get in and see the research facilities, gain some information on their newest drugs and treatments. The doctor in him loved the idea, but his business here was of a different nature. So it would have to wait for another time, if ever. He shielded his eyes from the sun and looked down the main drag of the town. A crowd was gathered, he couldn't tell why though. Graham slung his bag over his shoulder and started towards the sign indicating the Drunken Spacefarer. As he drew near to the bar and the crowd, he could see some bodies laid out and covered with sheets. Seemed something went down before he got there. He decided the authorities had everything under control, and he didn't want to get involved. Instead, he pushed the door open and entered the dim bar. As he entered a large man shoved past him, nearly knocking him over.

He crossed to the bar and dropped his bag next to a stool before sitting down. Signaling the bartender, he ordered a beer. The frothy glass was slid across the counter to him, sloshing beer onto the counter top. He lifted the gas and took a swig before glancing over at the man sitting next to him and nodding a bit in greeting. It was then that he noticed the wound. "You should get that looked at, without treatment it may get infected."

"Jao gao," Graham muttered, looking down at the man crumpled on the floor. He was snoring heavily, and there was already quite a bit of drool running from the corner of his mouth down to the floor. If he was smart he would walk away. He knew he should. After all, he was expecting the ship to arrive in a matter of a few hours. He didn't have time for this nonsense. He turned back to the bar tender, "I assume there is a good Doctor in town?"

"Normally, yeah. But didn't you see the crowd out front? Our doctor is a might busy at the moment."

"Gorram it, you got a back room I can use? And I need to sterilize my surgical tools in your kitchen."

The bartender's eyes widened as he realized this guy intended to perform some kind of surgery in his bar. "Wait just a minute there pal! I can't have you getting blood all over one of my rooms! And you can't kill the guy, he still owes me for the drinks!"

Graham glared at the man as he plunked a tidy stack of coin down in front of him, "I assume that will cover it?"

The bartender smiled and motioned to a door, "Right through there."

A half an hour later, Graham had finished his work and washed the blood off his hands in a wash basin. The drunk now lay bandaged on a bed, still fast asleep. Graham had found that the bullet went clean through the shoulder, thankfully. All he had done was clean it out and cauterized the wound before sewing it up. He dropped heavily into a chair next to the wall and rested his feet on the tiny end table. The bartender brought him a drink he had ordered. He skipped the beer this time and went straight to a whiskey, tossing it quickly back and grimacing as it burned on the way down. For now, he was just left to wait. Wait on the stranger to wake up, and for his rendezvous. He studied the man laying on the bed and said, "You owe me one."

"Liam Whelan, most people call me low!" he extends a hand. "How did you convince the bar keep to lend ya room?" he shuffles through one of his pockets. "I don't got much since I figure I owe the keep still." he pulls out a small hard leather case and unbinds it, pulling out some money which is probably close to half of what was paid to the keep. Fiona lasted about two minutes with the frying pan before she became convinced she was well and truly crazy for continuing to carry it around. She pulled open a panel on the wall, probably meant to hold supplies, and shoved the pan inside. Hearing noise and feeling more vibrations in the direction of the cargo bay, she moved that way.

At the end of the hallway she saw the pilot crumpled on the floor, a fairly sizable pool of blood spreading out beneath her. Fiona darted forward, all of her brain's facts instantly going out of her brain, replaced by only two words she couldn't stop repeating. "Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no."

She knelt down beside the pilot, taking off the sweater she wore over her flowered shirt, and folded it, pressing it down over the wound. "Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no."

And then, as though something in her gathered strength, she looked down at the bleeding pilot. "The boomslang snake's venom causes a person to bleed from all the holes on their body. If you keep a goldfish in a dark room, it will eventually turn white. Forest fires move faster uphill than downhill. Flowers are known to grow faster when music plays near them. Right-handed people, on average, live nine years longer than left-handed people."

Fiona took a shuddery deep breath. "I'm so sorry. I think you're going to be okay."

She pleaded with whatever gods were listening that she wasn't going to be a liar.

Timmy wrote:A bit of a back track: Fiona said, "And people think I'm the one escaped from the bughouse!" Fiona screamed at him, jerking backwards as Timothy tried to pat her on the head. "What's the matter with you?" Timmy looks at Fiona oddly while he puts on a shirt that he found under his bed, that his never in. Suddenly the light goes out leaving them both in the dark in Timmy's room. The girl is safer outside then alone in the dark in his room. what things she could find and 'pick up' from the floor. Oddly in the dark he manages to find everything on Jenny Wren. This was 'his' Jenny and if he wasn't a xiǎo niǎo eater he could make her pur! Fiona drops the pan on his floor continuing to make noise, and not long the girl started to spewing crazy talk! 'Deaf xiao meimei bizul with the kwong-juh duh!'. Timmy said, ‘Gai si de deaf girl! Bizul! Deaf girl! Ta ma de deaf girl will have us both shot up!’ Luckily he had his room sound proofed since he use to pretend he was a male companion.... It finally occurred to Fiona what was going on, "We have to tell the Captain! The Captain has to know that there's intruders aboard!" He continues to semi-ignore her as he dropped on all fours feeling the floor. He feels up a really long and 'hard' object. In excitement he finally tunes out Fiona until she leaned towards him grabbing his shoulders saying, "We have to warn the Captain!" Timothy ends up finding the door and slowly pushing out Fiona from out his room with his dirty foot. "There you go kwong-juh duh deaf girl. Cap Ellie might kill me but if the intruders kill her first all the better!" Finally he was left with his own naughty thoughts. Subconsciously he began to pet the long large item he held. Followed with long strokes! Then he quickly flips a switch on it, and brings the object to his face looking in to a scope that sees in the dark. Timmy found his 'The Big Rob" his favorite makeshift sniper rifle! He slowly slips out of his room and still he could hear Fiona ramble. For a second he could remember a time on Greenleaf of a Mule-339 he once saw making the same noise. All he could think about now how that the rider look so delicious and how he wanted to shunxi him. As he stood just close to the ladder to the shuttle he held the rifle like that yammering mule man. Fiona's "Oh no, Oh no..." snapped him out of his daydream or in the dark dream.... He realized what he was doing and he dropped to the ground then rolled to the side against the balcony. This advantage point he could see the whole front side of the cargo bay. With the night-scope he could see a man along with two other men. Without thought he shoots two between the eyes and the other he lets him go. Mostly since he found him attractive! then he started to think about what he could do to him if the Captain would let him keep him as a sex nuli! Then suddenly it occurred to him that the lights on the ship were out. Especially HOW that came to be, and concluded that this somewhat pretty man in green (Green only because the night-scope gave out a green hue on everything.) might have been the one to hurt his Jenny. Jessie the throbbing happiness in Timmy's trousers was ducked behind a crate with his pistol. The man was yelling out some words that didn't make much since to him, only because Timothy was in deep thought. "Go tsao de", he said followed by a shot from his rifle. It hits the crate! Jessie follow forward and sprawled on the ground. Timmy shoots again and hits Jessie but leaves him alive, "Captain! I got him!" Timothy surely did it right; between main street particularly up Jessie's arse.

Ellie wrote:Location: Jenny Wren, top of the spiral staircase

Ellie tried to peer down the spiral staircase, but it was much too dark to see anything. She backtracked a bit to the galley and dug through a drawer to locate a flashlight she knew was in there. She crept back over to the staircase without turning it on yet. No reason to let someone know she was there before she had to, better to keep it until she needed it. She took the staircase as silently as possible, unsure where Jessie and his goons were located in the ship's second floor. As she neared the bottom she could hear a rustling and someone breathing. Ellie brought the flashlight up and turned it on quickly to blind whoever she now knew was hiding in the bottom of the stairwell. With a blink she realized she was looking at Kistune... at least she thought it was, "Kitsune?"

Before he could answer she could hear the report of three gun shots coming from the balcony, followed by three thuds. She looked at Kitsune for a second before darting into the cargo hold. The light from the flashlight bobbed along the floor and across the three bodies of Jessie and his two men. Swinging the flashlight up towards the balcony and along until she found Timmy with his rifle. A smile played across her mouth and she called out, "That's my boy! Any chance you could get the lights back on for me?"

Turning back to Kitsune and motioning toward the bodies she commented, "Now we have to get rid of these bodies. I took out another two, they're up in the corridor. I think Jane took out Lewis in the cockpit too. Do we know if that was all of them?"

Graham wrote:Location: Greenleaf, back room of the Drunken Spacefarer

Oh about two hours later or so....

Liam sat upright in the bed rather abruptly blinking. "Where..." he looked around the room stopping on the stranger sitting in the chair. "Wángbā dàn, it wasn't a dream..." he fell back into the bed and craned his head to look at the bandaged shoulder, he looked to the stranger. "You put a fix on me?" he asked pulling himself into an upright sitting position.

"Easy there buddy," Graham responded, If by putting a fix on you, you mean did I treat and close your wound then yes. And seeing as I had your blood all over my hands not that long ago, it only seems right to introduce myself. I'm Ian Graham, but I usually just go by Graham."

"Liam Whelan, most people call me low!" he extends a hand, and Graham gave him a handshake."How did you convince the bar keep to lend ya room?" he shuffles through one of his pockets. "I don't got much since I figure I owe the keep still." he pulls out a small hard leather case and unbinds it, pulling out some money which is probably close to half of what was paid to the keep. Holding up a hand, Graham stopped him, "Please don't. I may be just a family doctor from Bernadette, but I've managed to save some money up to be comfortable enough. Besides, I couldn't very well perform surgery in the street." "What are you doin'n in these parts. This isn't exactly the friendliest of areas."

A laugh escaped him, "Please! Greenleaf is downright civilized compared to the places I've been. I mean they keep it so tight, needing work verification or a valid reason to even be on the planet. It's not like, say, Whitefall. Heck, if I wasn't a doctor I couldn't have even got on the planet..." he suddenly realized he was babbling. Probably because just thinking about the reason for his trip made him nervous. He stopped himself and took a breath before answering a bit more collectedly, "I'm meeting an old friend here. Their ship should be making landfall," he checked his watch, "in the next hour or so I believe. At least according to my sources."

He held a drink out to Low, "What about you, dare I ask how you got a bullet through the shoulder?"

He held a drink out to Low, "What about you, dare I ask how you got a bullet through the shoulder?"

Low shrugged and cringed for his efforts. "A job!" he took the offered drink. "See I was protection detail for cargo being moved from warehouse to the space port. We got ambushed. Cargo's gone, as is my job." he took a drink. "Now I've got to get myself off world before he shows up. The old bosses do not take failure too well. Matter's not if it was your fault or not."

((Room for a response here if ye like))

"Ye think they might have room on that ship for another?" he glanced over at his shoulder, then began pulling his shirt back on gently over his head. "I can do more than shoot, and bleed. Could use a new job."

BDH Narrator wrote:ACTION ANNOUNCEMENT

In order to move things along, this thread will remain open to tie up the loose ends. Tonight or tomorrow I will be opening up the new thread for our next story line. It will begin with Jenny Wren landing on Greenleaf. It is at this time that ANY new players/characters will be joining the crew. So if you are working on character creation, the time has come to bring the character in, so get character information to me now please! I've let this move slowly here in hopes of getting people involved and while I went through some transitions in my own life. But from here on out, if you aren't participating, I'll have to cut ties at some point for the sake of keeping the game rolling for those who are participating. So, I'd like to see at least one substantial post per week as we move forward. As I mentioned, I will leave this thread open so we can end off this story. We still need to dispose of some bodies and high tail it to Greenleaf. Current players, show me you are still here. New players, take up your story in the new thread and I'm really excited to have you guys with us!

"Timmy!" She motioned for him to join them down on the cargo hold floor level. As she waited for him to get there she responded to Kitsune's revelation that he had a couple more of the goons tied up in his cabin, "Get rid of them. Leave them tied up and toss them onto their ship along with the bodies of the rest of them. Whatever, I don't care just get them all off my ship."

There was a soft shuffling noise as Timmy joined them. He was good at walking quietly and was giving her a start, coming up on her unaware. Ellie turned to him now, "I need you to help Kitsune get the bodies off the ship, then get our ship moving again. Jane needs a doctor and soon. Get us decoupled from their bucket and get us flying for Greenleaf as soon as Jenny is rid of those cockroaches. I'm going to go see if I can get her bleeding stopped."

A few moments later she found Fiona kneeling over Jane in the corridor where she had left the pilot. The young girl was pressing a sweater against the gunshot wound in the woman's abdomen. Fiona's blonde head lifted and Ellie could see her muttering and she look oh so frightened. Ellie knelt next to her and checked Jane's pulse to ensure she was alive, and was glad to find that she was indeed. She looked back up at Fiona and spoke gently, "She's still with us thanks to your quick thinking my girl, but we need to move her off the floor. Do you think you can help me carry her around the corner to her quarters?" She nodded at Fiona's answer and stood up, "I'll take her under the arms if you get her legs." The two lifted Jane and carried her carefully to the pilot's cabin where they placed her on Jane's bed. Peering under the sweater, Ellie could see the bleeding had slowed substantially, though it didn't seem to be stopped completely. She pointed to the closet, "Can you grab a towel from in there, I'm afraid your sweater has hit it's content limit."

Kitsune wrote:Begins to move the trash back to their own ship. When it Finally came time to move the two from earlier. Jones was alright in his book, but Mike.... he was going to need a parting gift.
Removing the rubber ball grenade and putting the pin back in making sure to keep the handle compressed. he contemplated what to do.
First he took out a sharpie and began to draw winners on Mikes face pointing to his mouth, along with descriptors and tags of the sexual type. He then ran some Duct tape from Mikes butt (thru the hairy son of a bitch) to the base of his boy, cringing at the thought of him removing this tape as this was perhaps the single hairiest sob he had ever met. and for final measure he tied Mike up in an S&M rope swing and left him dangling on his ship, a piece of the rope connected to the Duct tape in an unnoticeable way so when he is taken down it yanks the tape off. Jones on the other hand was placed in the pilots seat with one hand zip tied to the chair and a knife within foot reach.
Painful as the whole experience was with is massive bruise it was worth every second.

She opened her mouth to say something, anything meaningful - maybe to apologize for not getting to Jane in time. Maybe to ask for reassurance. Maybe to find out what was going to happen next. She looked down at her sweater and reached out a tentative finger, stopping just before she could touch it. Her face twisted in what seemed like sadness, and immediately she reached up and tapped her processors. "My mother gave me that," she said, indicating the sweater with a jerk of her chin. "And I'm sorry... I'm sorry I didn't know how to do anything more to help her. I've never seen anyone get shot before."

Sympathy washed over Ellie. She had been in a war, she had seen death up close and personal, invited it in for tea and made it her companion. But this poor soul was not used to it. To her death must surely be harsh, cold and jarring. Ellie laid a hand on Fiona's arm to calm her, get her attention. Then she looked her straight in the eyes and said, "It's not your fault. Jane's still with us, and I'll do everything I can to help her. But whatever happens, none of this is your fault, you did your best my girl." She cast her gaze at the sweater, "I don't know that I can save the sweater though," Ellie looked apologetically at Fiona. "I'm sorry you got put in this tough spot, but... I'm proud of how you're holding up. You are strong."
