I tend to agree with you.

If she IS the last baddie, the Millionaire, then she has taken no votes and gained no power. Her suddenly bringing Canuck up, who she has not mentioned in a week, is kinda weird. I so wish I knew what Dom was driving at.

But the fact that he fixed on BR as the focus for the item issues, when in fact it WOULD be the Millionaire who would have all the itees, and that is the only bad role left now. And her BTS seemed ... i dunno, incomplete in some way.

i'm going to give it the night, sleep on it, and then I'll make up my mind. One thing is for sure though, if the two of you are going to vote BR then I will do the same. It feels like a flip the coin decision to me at the moment. I need to think a little more about that bts BR heard and like you SVS I wish Dom had left his full thoughts with us. If it is not BR then I think if I counted right there are enough people left to vote Vompatti and win even with the night kill. Am I seeing that correctly? I hope Canuck votes. Ok, I'm off to bed for now.

I wish Canuck would come back :( considering the vote I made that day, for TH, she would have to realize why I reacted to her intention to follow my vote the way that she did.

I need to reread her & Dom for some insight. I have agita, my gut is telling me two different things (and my paranoia is telling me a third, maybe even a fourth).

Well it's not BR. I knew this would happen because I have no one to vouch for me. If I had my old role then I would be safe, my new role has given me nothing I could use to gain trust. The BTSC I trusted was wrong, or I read it wrong. I haven't bothered with the other two clips I got the past two nights because of it.

I think someone is just trying to railroad me.

I'm voting for Vompatti. He has to be the last one. If you choose to vote me the game won't end, then you'll vote Vompatti. You'll just give him that one last kill first.

I can't post the content but the gist.

First one was talking about how as long as SVS doesn't turn on the person "we have a chance." The second person mentioned a recruit being lynched.

The second one doesn't even make sense. They talk about dogs. "A porpose staring at an ape, nothing". It was some sort of article "staring into a dogs eyes produces serotonin"

I have no idea what to make of this and I refuse to jump to conclusions again.

The first thing makes sense. Did they say the name of the recruit? I've wondered about a recruit ever since that info about someone being related (twins I think) came out.

The second one makes total sense to me. It was probably off topic :nicenod:

I myself just read an article recently about the human/canine serotonin bond. That it exists only between animals and dogs, not with any other animals. I will send it to you, you would be interested, as you are also a dog person.

I was just curious since you pretty much did release the first one word for word.

It's the first that makes no sense to me. If there was a recruit, the baddies would be SERIOUSLY overpowered. It would be so unbalanced as to break the game. But mentioning recruits in thread would be sure to ramp up that paranoia, eh?

I do not believe there are recruits. With no civ kill, that would be hugely unbalanced, and I doubt our host would do that. They had a cred rezz of sorts with Faraday, a recruit would be too much.

I think the reason I was kept alive is that I was much more likely than, say, TH, to vote with my feelings rather than with my brains lol. Luckily I have the voices in my head and all day to consult with them :)

I see what you're saying about the game being unbalanced if there was recruit. I should just accept that twins thing is/was a red herring.

From the way some of the baddies acted as they were going down, I seriously doubt that they think the game is balanced in their favor. Without a civvie kill, I don't see how they could possibly think so if they had a recruit in addition to a rezz.

I told you I had not put anything out about it since the first one I jumped on was untrue. Concerning the recruit, maybe the baddies decided to put that in BTSC so I would get it. Who knows. It also said the recruit was lynched. I am not allowed to put it in the thread word for word. Pay attention to the quotation marks. I am releasing it the best I can.

It was NOT untrue; it was not baddies. The BTS had the ring of truth. It was the interpretation.

Since I believe there to be only one baddie & one Celestial, I find it odd that he gave you OT chatter from one group, and really to the point on topic game changers from the other, when in both cases I think it was one living person talking to dead BTS partners.

It's funny, BR, out of EVERYONE I play with, past & present, you are the person I always have the hardest time voting for. I can never believe you are bad, lol. Or I don't want to. But recently baddies have been playing me for my emo responses more and more. If I am wrong here, I am so sorry. But had it been anyone but you, I would have voted last night. True story.

*Votes Black Rock*

I keep hitting preview becasue I don't want to do this, but I really do think you are bad

I have thought this whole game, except for this last little bit where the overheard info came into play, that BR was good. And much like SVS I do not really want to vote for her but thats my emotional side and not my rational side. My emotional side didn't vote for Bullz and that was obviously wrong. So, today I'm placing my vote on BR and hoping I'm right. If I'm not, I'm very sorry.

ENDGAME
Black Rock has been lynched. She was Reed Bardeen.

With the dastardly killers finally taken care of, the once-great city of Chicago was ready to begin its healing process. Chinatown was decimated, with many proud ancestral families uprooted, perhaps never to return. The few remaining civilians were exhausted, disoriented and confused, but at least they were alive. If the city could recover after Mrs. O'Leary's Cow, it could recover from this too.

Congratulations to the winners, Bass_the_Clever, Canucklehead, juliets, and Vompatti!

I want to thank my amazing players for making my first full game such a blast. The mafia and Celestials both played great games and were immensely fun to observe. As ever, the players did a lot I never anticipated them doing, and if a few things had gone differently, we could have had a lot of very different outcomes. I hope that was as exciting for you guys as it was for me.

I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. The role list is below.

Going into this, I figured this would be an uphill battle. With five civilian-friendly independents with BTSC, plus Oliver Oliver, who could gain BTSC with anyone of those an create a civilian network of unprecedented proportions, I figured we'd put on a good show, and lose quickly.

One post Black Rock 1.0 posted made it clear that she was Oliver Oliver, so we removed her first. We had the Celestials pegged by Night 2 or Day 3, even down the exact roles (Golden helped with us figuring out the roles). They became our next targets, naturally.

Zomb had a lynch stop, so we were not concerned with her flipping, but she wasn't around, and come to find out, she hadn't adjusted her DST settings (I send the PM twice a year for a reason, people!), so I tried to save her anyway. I figured her lynch would be my downfall, but folks strangely went after Sophie instead.

After my lynch, I was dismayed to discover there was more BTSC among the civilians, and apparently more reasons for the civilians to vouch for one another. It made for a rather impossible endgame scenario for us in my opinion.

And for the record, I have never smirked about civilians not winning on this site. :suspish:

For the record, we always intended to kill Celestials if we found them because a 5-person btsc group that is basically an extension of the civs presents a huge threat. We killed Golden not knowing who he was, DP to avoid giving credibility to his team, TH because he was a threat, and Splints just because she was a Celestial. Sorry that it seemed to really upset you guys but I don't see how else we could have played that.

Why did the indies become your targets? We were ready & willing to work with you.

That made no sense to us, tbh.

We had no way of knowing that, and the easier thing for you to do would be play civ, so we assumed you would be. When you started making yourselves obvious, it became a concern.
