Epic Challenge: If 3 players do not complete their challenge then you may choose 3 players to challenge instead of 1. If 3 players successfully lynch the other player then you may recruit one of them in a private shared win condition.
-- Who did you mind control on D/N1 and what was the result?
Position 1: Chooses two people who have to make a case and vote for each other. If they don’t complete the case they both gain three votes and are role blocked the following night.
Mind control on BWT and unfurl. -> both complete the challenge but don't get each other lynched

-- Who did you place in competition on D/N2 and what was the result?
Position 5: Thread goal/competition (make people turn on each other to win) ie. players choose someone to try and lynch, who ever gets the most votes on their target wins.
Tranq targets SVS and aapje for a competition. Fails because of the protection. I'll let aapje explain this blunder :p

-- What was your position 3 and did you do anything with it D3?
Position 3: Send False Information
Night ended before i could use this power.

-- Who did you hunger on D/N4, if anyone?
Hunger Scotty. He has to get JJJ dead within 2 full periods -> Not sure if this power went through or not, but JJJ got NK'd within 2 full periods
-- What was your position 4 and did you anything with it D/N5?
Position 4: Illusionist (create false result in host post)
I made TinyBubbles appear as a member of Team Ubzurgan :D

-- Who did you place in competition on D/N6 and what was the result?
Canucklehead vs Roxy -> Canuck votes DrWilgy who gets lynched - Roxy misses the vote and fails the challenge.
Not sure if she won a prize or not.

-- Did you do anything with position 3 on D7?
No
-- Who did you mind control on D/N8 and what was the result?
Canuck and BWT -> Canuck votes BWT and gets him lynched - BWT selfvotes and fails the challenge
-- Did you do anything with position 4 on D/N9?
Night 9 i added the part about Abriham failing to kill DharmaHelper
-- Who did you hunger on D/N10, if anyone?
Hunger nutelLA to lynch Scotty. Scotty got NK'd same night :/
-- How did you survive the D10 lynch?
MM used his Night 9 Position 4 power to protect our team Night9/Day10.

Night 11 i used Competition on aapje and MM. MM picked Canuck. aapje picked nutelLA who got lynched. aapje won 5 extra votes

I can confirm Canuck also won 5 votes from her challenge, we put them onto Llama during the day where votes for him would go to someone else. If only we'd chosen someone lynchable rather than Daisy!

Ricochet wrote:-- Lol dat freaking gossip position 5!
Yup. The less I killed, the less people would realize that the Immortal was alive. :nicenod:
Ricochet wrote:-- Why didn't your N1 random kill work?
I tried to kill G-Man on Night 1, but he was the Jilted Lover, so that is why he survived, being in Position 1.
Ricochet wrote:-- Which players got block and protected on N1?
I actually ended up protecting Devin (my future teammate), and blocking Spacedaisy, which helped us learn who she was.
Ricochet wrote:-- Who did you send gossip to on D/N2?
I targeted these three players: aapje, Canucklehead, timmer. This was my gossip.

"The Immortal hears much. One of the players has altered the lynch for almost half the players in the game, one of them is inadvertently responsible for killing Typhoony, and one has just tried to pull a scheme for power that failed almost ironically."

Canucklehead was the first one, as she was the Gambler (the role I also created). Timmer accidentally helped kill Typhoony. Aapje was the one who ironically failed the big scheme. He or SVS will have to tell you about that. :nicenod:
Ricochet wrote:-- Which players got vote manipulated on D/N4?
I picked TinyBubbles, Sorsha, and Boomslang to effect their votes. It didn't end up being meaningful though because the lynch was switched indirectly by Ubzargan.
Ricochet wrote:-- Which players did you protect on D/N5?
I was recruited early Night 5 (or was it Day 5). So I protected my three teammates Night 5: aapje, SVS, and Tranq.
Ricochet wrote:-- Who did you send gossip to on D/N6?
On Night 6, I targeted birdwithteeth, synonym & bea for gossip.

"One of these players received some information about a baddie last night, one missed their PM the night before, and one is affecting today's lynch!"

I believe Synonym received information about a baddie because of his role. Birdwithteeth was most likely the one who missed his PM. Bea had a role that surely affected the lynch. Unlike the first batch, these are all educated guessses.
Ricochet wrote:-- Which player got blocked and protected on N8?
I targeted Scotty, Sorsha, and DharmaHelper. DH survived yet another kill attempt. No idea how the other two were affected though.
Ricochet wrote:-- Which players did you protect on D/N9?
I protected the usual 3 players, my teammates: Tranq, SVS, and aapje. As a result, Tranq survived the next day's lynch.
Ricochet wrote:-- Which players got vote manipulated on D/N10?
I decided not to use it. There were enough lynch-altering roles active in Position 2, that I realized my power was useless.
Ricochet wrote:-- Who did you end gossip to on D/N11?
I picked bullseye, TH, and Sorsha for gossip.

"One just finished the Epic Challenge last night
One may just lose it all today
One had to have their role redefined"

I'm pretty sure my night action got redirected though, because these didn't really match up.
Ricochet wrote:-- Which player got the same fate on D/N12 and what was that fate?
aapje nightkilled Epignosis. I targeted Epignosis, bea, and G-Man to share the same fate. Had I not been roleblocked by Spacedaisy, it would have totally worked too.
Ricochet wrote:-- Which players got vote manipulated on D/N13?
Again, I didn't use this power because of the vote manipulation obviously in play via llamazura.

My role was redefined after Golden died to give me complete control, LA being lynched made the game unwinnable for TH, Sorsha must have finished her Epic Challenge.

My epic challenge was to last four days writing wacky Old Spice-themed posts. :P Actually, I never found out. I was told that my epic challenge would be sent to me once I was recruited. I totally forgot to ask our hosts what my epic challenge was after being recruited to Epi's team.

N/A- you'll have to get answers out of the other two for these days.
Ricochet wrote: -- What item did you give and to whom on D/N10 (if you did)?
The Mace of Justice. On Position #2, my item gives were negative items. It had a temporary positive power but a negative side-effect. I gave it to aapje because I thought it was curious that he hadn't died yet. The Mace of Justice would have allowed him to erase up to 15 lynch poll votes against him. The negative side-effect is that any votes erased with the Mace of Justice would be applied as secret votes the next day. Aapje would have thought it merely a vote eraser but it was really just a vote shifter.

Ricochet wrote:-- Who did you power corrupt on D/N11 (and what was the corruption) (if you did)?
I attempted to corrupt Nutella's power but I was blocked.
Ricochet wrote:-- What item did you give and to whom on D/N12 (if you did)?
I believe this was Position 3, a positive item give. I attempted to send Epi an invisibility cloak that would have protected him from NK's. The thing about items is that they aren't automatically used. Epi would have needed to receive it and could have used it N13. But we were both killed that night, so it didn't really matter.

This was a roller coaster game for me. I thought I would be recruited by night 5 when the game first started, and when I went after Golden that was totally genuine. When he got lynched, I knew that there was no way I was continue to survive by being as aggressive as I was. Then after day 5 when I got my epic challenge (which was to not take a single lynch vote between day 6 and 10), I knew the only chance I really had to complete it and survive was to go full DisPor and disappear into the background. On day 9 I think it was someone (nutella?) had a vote on me for a while and I thought for sure I was going to fail. Then she moved it thankfully. :D

Great game!

Nope, back when you suggested Jay might have been turned. People almost always talk about their own role subconsciously and there was no reason to believe there was a chance for someone to be turned. Then Jay died. Then as time went on it was increasingly more likely since you had not been targeted. The attempt to change my blocks was the biggest confirmation. But before that even I had already discussed it with Sorsha in PM with some things we could use if we kept the info from you, but we did not get in the right position for it.

Also very surprised at how the endgame shook out. Did not at all expect Nubz team to win. I actually thought my team had a pretty good chance, though once I was lynched we had to rely on the numbers which were really close by that point.

Sorry TH, you'll probably never forgive me :p I really wonder how differently the game might have gone had I rezzed LoRab instead (or JJJ, lol, that would have backfired. But I trusted more that Lorab was in fact unrecruited :p ) Possibly a successful Guardian alliance would have given us the numbers power to win. But it was a risk that my teammates strongly discouraged, and we wanted Llama back.

I feel mostly the same. Realising Aap didn't actually betray us that much kinda helped, but I genuinely thought my team had a really really strong chance to win, only to realise at the last second that Nubzargan were able to steal the win. I never win, so the possibility of getting this one meant a lot to me and I'm really disappointed but I don't hold anything against Team Nubz. I don't think the game was that unbalanced though tbf. Like you I really enjoyed the game and am very glad I played. I think it's one of my favourites of all time as well as some of my best - and worst when I couldn't keep up - overall performance.

But I trusted more that Lorab was in fact unrecruited :p ) Possibly a successful Guardian alliance would have given us the numbers power to win. But it was a risk that my teammates strongly discouraged, and we wanted Llama back.
No hard feelings  I would have recommended a LoRab rezz anyway because her role was more useful

I know how you feel, I felt the same way as civvie team leader in Recruitment III. We knew who most of the baddies were and lynched a baddie almost every day, but it didn't matter because the Musketeers had access to the baddie chatrooms and had so much influence over how the game played out. It sucks when you play a strong game but come up just short.

I think the important thing with these games is that you play hard and have fun because it also takes a lot of luck to win Recruitment Mafia.

All in all good game. MM, did you have remorse when I died? I was hoping you weren't bad, and if you were bad, I was hoping I could turn you away from the dark forces of evil.

Most likely, but he was an outed baddie, so it makes more sense he was lynched at the end of the tally

The game has ended, Team Ubzargan has won, congratulations to S~V~S, Metalmarsh89, Tranq, Devin the Omniscient... and aapje. Also reywaS has won as the Rogue Mercenary.

Special congratulations to Team Ahriman for being survivors in this bloody battle. Spacedaisy, Bea, and Sorsha you fought a uphill battle and survived. Sorsha was the best damn dragon a host could ever achieve.

I skipped this post, I correct myself llama was not lynched, he was eaten by a dragon
so only nutella and bullz were the only baddies lynched :p

Black Rock!!! Long Con!!! Can Team Celia's name be changed to "The guys who were only able to kill Ubzergois temporarily?" because that's all we accomplished... I think it's fitting!!!

I was thinking that DH tried to recruit me early on and failed. Is that true? Did you guys figure out who I was?

unfurl, yeah, that's true, I was disappointed when I saw your flip to say the least. :P

I tried playing this game as civilian-friendly as possible, so I could then have the cred if I flipped and because I didn't feel the neutral approach to the early part of the game. Obviously in addition to a stressful start to the PhD semester, I struggled with baddie hunting this game due to the large amount of neutrals.

It was very exhausting for me, defending myself every day I was alive, and knowing I was neutral, I even reached to the the mod on duty cause it was so fustrating at some moments, I guess my days of playing are almost over, not that I ever been a hard core player anyway :p

I have to say, when I look back on it, to those on Ahriman & Azura, that aapje really did not actively work against you, even at the end.

Last night it was just he & I in the chat, trying to decide what to do. He did not steer the discussion. He had me talk it out, basically, and would not decide himself about what we would do with the rezz & switch. He let me decide. I actively tried, actually, to get him to decide because I was feeling unsure of myself, I knew we were using up our secret resource and I did not want to mess it up. But he made ME decide. And it probably was not the only time.

So, in his own treacherous fashion, he did the right thing by you.

He was the same way in our chat. I think he might be getting a bad rap here, it's certainly not his fault I'm disappointed with how the game went. I just wanted to win and thought I was going to and am therefore sad I didn't - but it's not the end of the world. If he wasn't on your team and someone else was you'd still have won because it was really MM who won it for you in the end by rezzing you and enabling your team to switch the lynch and gain the advantage.

Master of Ancient Arts - Sorsha
-- What was your epic challenge? Search for Ahriman each night, get BTSC if I found him. I found daisy on night 11.
-- How did the dragon thing work? Anyone who targeted me would get burned and eaten.
-- Which targets did you switch on D/N1? Golden and Epignosis
-- Which players did you protect on N2? Myself, daisy and SVS
-- No dragon on D3, huh? :pout:
-- Which 5 votes did you negative on D/N4? Day 4 power: Scotty
Sorsha
Space daisy
Svs
The llama
(Actually didn't understand how this power worked. I thought it took 1 vote off their total in the poll but found out later it actually decreased the amount their vote was worth)

-- What new target did you enforce on D/N5? I made Dom pick a new target
-- Which player did you protect on N6? Protected bea svs and boomslang (I was actually thinking these 3 were bad at the time and wanted them to have the 3 extra votes the next day not really the protection)
-- Still no dragon on D7, huh? :disappoint:
-- Which targets did you switch on D/N8? Scotty and timmer
-- What new target did you enforce on D/N9? Scotty pick a new target
-- Which 5 votes did you negative on D/N10?none
-- Which players did you protect on N11?Myself, daisy and metalmarsh
-- DRAGOOON ;airguitar: Got to eat Epignosis... He was extremely salty :nicenod:
-- Which 5 votes did you negative on D/N13? none
-- Dragon on D14? Huh? I was in position 3 for the last day/night cycle. Llama targeted me so I toasted and ate him.

Thanks, team! Sorry I was useless. :(
Did you at all enjoy the role I created?
To be perfectly honest, no, not at all.
I totally respect the concept and like the role from a mechanics perspective (the idea of balancing reward with risk and randomness is interesting), but it wasn't actually a very fun role to play. I mostly ignored my powers, to be honest, because they felt for the most part too arbitrary and randomeness-based to really want to bother investing in. I think a more tactically gifted player could have made great use of them, but I am not that player. ;) Sorry, MM. :srsnod:

On a related note, I was very sad the Hoagies didn't choose the role I submitted :pout:

This, tbqh. Playing every side, and coming out of it without having fucked over anyone is pretty freaking remarkable, and totally admirable. Aapje is the big winner superstar of this one in my books, for shizzle. :srsnod:
