I'm voting Alderaan, just to make the poll a bit more interesting, and because some people think it sounds OK. I doubt Epi made the results obvious though, if there are any (besides serving as a mechanic for the role that Golden pointed out).

I'm glad that in our first game together you get to be scum and I get to be civ.

I am the master of seeing the insincere effort in day 1 posts. There should be a rule in every game to let Mac choose who to lynch on day 1.

And then Mac isn't allowed to post anymore for the rest of the game because he is just wrong forever after that.

I did same thing in the RYM West Wing game, Dune game, Reborn ... well not so much in Reborn.

I think it's a fun theory to have. I don't necessarily believe it or consider it to be accurate, it's just funny. Personally I think Jar Jar is maliciously stupid both in-universe and as a character, but I don't think he's intentionally malicious.

Never really understood the Jar Jar hate anyway. The biggest crime of the prequels is the Ani/Padme dialogue and Anakin screaming "yippee!" like three times during Phantom Menace. Oh, and midichlorians.

Anakin and Padme's entire relationship is so weird when you consider he was a small child when they first met. It's kinda creepy. Also he confesses to mass murder and she doesn't immediately run far far away. I think Anakin's entire storyline suffered the most from the bad writing that the prequels are plagued with. It could've been so much better really easily. The Cinema Sins videos actually do a good job of pointing this out IMO.

It could have been, and that's why I don't mind it too much.

I think the prequels are far better than their reputation, not that their reputation isn't deserved. It's just that I think most of the negatives are confined to specific people or aspects. Unfortunate that one of those people was Anakin (in all forms). The Palpatine side of things was pretty good, in my opinion, and the journey from Republic to Empire well crafted.

I acknowledge this is a rather extraordinary thing to do but this Star Wars game was my very first game here at The Syndicate and my actions in this game have (by some players) been misinterpreted and manipulated to the detriment of performance in games I've played since. I feel it is important then that I be given the opportunity to address this matter so that players in this game understand my side of this story and can make an informed decision on my historical actions.

It has been alleged that I left this game as a direct consequence of my (Mafia) alignment. I reject this assertion totally. I withdrew from this game at the beginning of Day 6 and other than voting for MacDougall, did not post at all from the beginning of that Day phase. What wasn't apparent to the general player population was that I had received a PM from our game Host at the end of Night 5 to the effect:

You have been spit on and afflicted by madness by crumb. You may not mention the madness and you must vote for Mac for the duration of tomorrow. You may also not mention or quote any player that isn't mac or you will die.

At the time of my departure from this game, I was under heavy suspicion from a number of players and together with the responsibility I felt to my team in that game and other external, non-game related matters, I felt (at the time) that this direction placed me in an intolerable position where I could no longer adequately defend myself and I departed from the game immediately after fulfilling the requirements of that Host direction. I accept that my actions in that regard were wrong, it was immature and that it was not responsible. Under the circumstances that prevailed at that time however, fueled by intense frustration, I felt as though I had little option than to do what I did. The TRUTH of this matter IS that I was motivated by frustration and would (regrettably) very likely have left the game at that point IRRESPECTIVE OF MY ALIGNMENT.

Looking back I do regret my actions on that occasion (as described above) and I trust anyone who reads this will not judge me harshly for them.
