Voting for Mongoose. There is one role with a power, and she seriously seems most invested in this game. So i am guessing she has the power.

Could be wrong.

Aww nuts. It's not me though. I'm just always super active in Llamafia Games.
Well, my experience of you is that you are always superactive in all games, not just those that Llama hosts. So ...I am OK with my vote :)
Just trying to play devil's advocate here... but why the hell would a one-man mafia player draw so much attention to him or herself?
Yeah, not a ton going on in this game if we aren't gonna play the mini-games. If I'm always like this in games, I'm not sure how that makes me suspicious. Just predictable.
Although I agree entirely with you and pity your position if you are a civvie, did the wording of this particular response strike anyone else as weird or is it just me?

Not jumping to any conclusions whatsoever, but curious who responds to this and what they have to say.

I was just saying that doing the same things I always do in every games doesn't seem to be cause for alarm. Actually, I'm not really sure what part you found weird - if you can be a little more specific, I'll be happy to elaborate.

linki - Vomps and I have a little side project going on...if you know what I mean.

No, I know what you were saying. I guess it just kinda sounded to me like you were making up excuses for not being baddie and it sort of read as if you were saying it, yet while not innocent. IDK. Wouldn't vote for you based on that at all, just how it read to me initially.

Lol, I don't. How can you when none of the roles have anything going on?

It's a creative project that isn't mafia-related actually. It's fake personas we created on Tumblr and we are cultivating a friendship between these two strangers.

Since the image contest is over, I'm going to start periodically posting links to interesting minimalist art projects or consumer products.

Let's start with a science experiment. The Pitch Drop Experiment was begun in 1927 as a way to demonstrate that pitch is actually a liquid with a very high viscosity. Some pitch was placed in a glass funnel and allowed to settle. Nine years later, the first drop fell from the base of the funnel. To date, eight drops have fallen and it has been 13 years since the last one. The ninth is expected soon. No one has ever witnessed a drop falling in real time, but now the experiment is being webcast 24 hours a day, so you can watch it and hope to be the first person to see a drop.

Watch it here.

I spent the first 2 mins of that video thinking it would be a parody.

I did not get you a clock, but I accidentally bought you two birthday cards, 'cause I forgot about the first one. Two bday cards is not very minimalist, but there's no way I can re-purpose them for anyone else.

It's nice outside today. We have our doors and windows open.

(Back to discussion with socky and Mongoose)

I think it's a bit early to even have suspicions. Not much has happened... Not discouraging sleuthing, but we've got plenty of time to gather information before forming opinions.

The problem right now is that we won't receive any concrete information for quite some time, so we don't really have much to say. It's enough time for the baddie to say something revealing but I'd be surprised if they did when they have so much time to plan out exactly what they want. I assume the normal flow of the game will be offtopic banter for the most part interspersed with llama's contests and then a few days of serious posting when a day/night change is coming up. Over analyzing the game just makes it harder to make sense of anything so it would be better to let it go and examine things when they finally start happening.

It is very difficult to discern anything worthy of a vote, especially this early. Good points illustrated there, both of you. Another thing to remember is that the baddie has no teammates, so there's no way to draw connections via voting patterns.

I think though, despite the fact that there are two players taking the game literally and have not posted ANYTHING and I applaud them for taking the game to its true level in that regard, that I probably will be voting for either of those, unless they show up before the deadline. It's what llama would want, and in lack of anything else better to go on. We'll see though.

Maybe something we think of as a vegetable but is technically a fruit. E.g. a tomato.

I was going to say the smallest fruit I could think of (likely some berry), but I think the smallest food ratio per fruit item would be the way to go. Like a watermelon, for instance. It's this big, heaving leviathan, but you don't even eat half of it.

Who's up for some minimalist cinema this morning? Andy Warhol filmed Empire in 1964, an eight hour continuous shot of the Empire State Building at night. I saw it on display at the Hirschorn Gallery in DC, but I did not sit through the whole thing. If it were still showing, I would make a point to do so.

I always hoped it would be like the Night Circus, but it's mostly me being hungry and bored with a few random students that usually just come to secretly fart in the stacks and then run away back to the hallways.

I think it might be mildly haunted though.

I think it might be mildly haunted though.

The Night Circus was a NaNoWriMo novel. I am jealous of its success.

What, are you joking?!? I loved it. It could have been even better though. It has a special place in my heart because that's the first book my book club ever read together. We had black and white foods that day.

It actually started as a minor digression in another novel where the characters went to the circus in an attempt to boost the wordcount. The author realized that the circus was more interesting than the main plot, and so rewrote the whole thing.

That's cool. It makes me think of my circus short story. It was not without its faults, but it truly made an enrapturing story.

Do you love Ali? I know you love Aladdin. What about his princely counterpart?

I will indeed finish that, but I have to finish my Where [Vomps] Disappeared To story first.

Oh Lizzybean. You can also spell "Ali", which is a minimalist way to get the attention of someone named Alison. or Alicia or Alice or Aligarten.
