Since so many people thought Llama was bad the other day, and some still do, why do you think Bea is more dangerous?

I mean, all baddies are important. But it is interesting that you are so much more invested in eliminating one team than the other?

As I understand it, Devin received a pm to write in poetry style, and use orange text.
He states that llama was CC'd on that pm, and should have known to use orange text.
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... ead#p54817
Llama doesn't appear to know that he should be using orange text.

You assert that he is therefore *lying about receiving the pm*.
How can that be? Devin says he knows that llama received the pm, that's the whole *point*.
Please inform me if I misunderstand some of the facts, because I'm confused how you could think what you appear to be thinking.
S~V~S wrote:Rather invested in lynching the "other team". eh?
That last line is an interesting turnaround for you, as I'm pretty sure you know I'm not bad.
It makes me wonder harder about Lizzy's Jack theory, for sure.
I'm interested in eliminating the team I'm sure of. I'll certainly hunt down the other team as soon as possible afterward.

Linki: Yes, but WE KNOW THAT LLAMA RECEIVED THE POST. DEV TOLD US THAT.

Could you please, in careful terms, describe what you are asserting about llama?

There is the link where llama says he doesn't know about 'orange'.
It does not read like he is 'adamant' that he didn't receive that pm.

Llama is bad as far as i am concerned. I did post the link to Devins post. You said you thought the previous case on him was good; why the reluctance now?

The reason I'm confused is that it sounds like you're making out that he *did* receive a pm telling him to post in poetry form, but that he is lying about whether it included a clause that he needed to post in orange. I don't see any possible motivation for a lie, and find a mistake or misread far more likely in that instance.
Additionally, you asserted that he was pretending to be cursed to avoid attention - how can that be, when we *know* he received a pm that told him he had to post in poem form?

I have *clearly* explained my 'reluctance' in multiple posts.
I don't want to lynch him now because we have *baddies* to lynch.

i think llama is pretending to be insanified, which would imply he is trying to distance himself from his prior non lynch. I thought i was being exceedingly clear. He made a production of someone else posting in sarcasm, although it has been confirmed that he was supposed to be posting in sarcasm himself (the PM he & Devin shared~ they both apparently got the poetry part), and specifically denied that he was supposed to be posting in sarcasm.

HE IS LYING.

Why so against lynching him again, Nevin?

S~V~S wrote:I reread Llama, i reread the case against him from several days ago (remember? He had 10 votes and did not die?) and find it solid, and in light of Devin saying he had the same PM as Llama where orange WAS required, and Llama said that he had not been required to use orange, right after trying to impugn DH for use of the orange, I think he was faking his insanity to put more distance between himself and his failed lynch~

Out of sight, out of mind.

In any case, i cannot see another reason for that lie about the sarc orange. I have had reason to lie as a civ, and i have seen others lie as a civ when hosting them. But I can see no reason for that lie, and according to Devin, it IS a lie. And Devin & I may spar, but I believe him.

I am voting Llama.
Why would I lie about something so easily corrected by Devin? I just missed that sentence in the PM. And "impugn"? Nonsense. I was just giving DH a hard time for posting glowing compliments in sarcastic orange, which ordinarily would be quite a rude thing to do.

It turns out you *are* being clear, you're just not making sense.
He is lying *about what?* That he was supposed to be posting in orange.
Right, that seems like something a baddie would bother lying about - the only one that cares is MP, and he already knows.

We *know* he was cursed with the poetry curse, because Devin *saw his name in the CC*.
We don't know he was actually also insanified, but we have no reason to believe he was lying about *that*.
The *obvious* explanation is the one he just gave - he missed a clause of his PM.

And for the *fourth time in 15 minutes*, I am against lynching him BECAUSE WE HAVE BADDIES TO LYNCH,
and it is PROVABLE that lynching him would NOT PRODUCE ANY BENEFICIAL RESULT.
How is this hard?

Untrue. The first several posts I made were in poetry form, but the insanifier screwed with the formatting. After that I asked whether I could redo the formatting after using the insanifier and was told yes, so I did that. I know I haven't been super-present this game, but I am not stupid enough to lie about something so easily checked.

We have another day. Why are you so eager to vote early for me?

You are replying to fairly basic logic with ranting - you 'know' that llama is bad?
That's possible. He could be Fetus, though I don't really think so. You could even *know* it, depending on your role.

But he couldn't be any other baddie, because he survived the lynch.
So you want to lynch him again, to do what? Either remove one of his remaining protections,
if he is Delbert or Cohen, or *absolutely nothing* if he is macguyver or fetus.
And lynching delbert or cohen will be necessary in the long run, but there is no rush -
neither of those characters has a kill, while the manipulators certainly do.

WHY do you want to lynch him? What purpose does that serve?
Baseless certainty aside, how do you think that lynching llama *even if he is bad* will serve any civ objective?

I've been over this several times, and I can't imagine you're not following it,
but I'm also not sure what good it would do to fake this rant as a baddie.
I'm a bit confused at what you're doing here, to be honest.

I need to go read to my girl, I'll be back for a bit later.

Please don't take this bait, everyone else - llama could totally be fetus, I won't deny it,
but lynching him would serve no purpose at this point in the game.

Maybe once we don't have obvious baddies to lynch it'd make more sense to wear down cohen/delbert's lynches, or verify that he's fetus with two wasted lynch votes, but there's no *way* that's a good idea at this juncture.
I can't figure SVS's motivations here, but the radical behavior shift makes me think that Lizzy might be right with her Jack theory.
If anyone has a role block, I think SVS would be a marvelous person to use it on tonight - then if we don't get a Jack kill tonight it'll be extra suspicious.

Also I should note that I will come back and complete my rereads of people probably tomorrow, as today is Super Bowl day so not a great deal of time to bear down and focus. Aside from that, I should mention that I think very highly of you DF as a person and a player so I'm glad you are taking some time to get your thoughts together. I will be interested in seeing what you come up with when you're ready.
I don't know how to feel about this. :p

And I was actually thinking of Vomp's random vote for DH for no reason. I seem to have misremembered BWT doing that somehow. Sorry BWT! As it stands I would not be opposed to voting Vomps.

As for Llama, I think if he is a lynchable baddie, it would be better to get rid of him whether he has a kill or not. I haven't seen much to convince me he's bad though.

Nev harkening back to what you said about shoehorning words into posts to fulfill the Rumpelstiltskin thing, what do you think of SD's cold feet comment? Is it not odd to anyone else that she threw that in there? Maybe she was being a cheeky baddie and used "socks" as the word of the day? I'm sure MP would have gotten a kick out of that XD

I am so incredibly sad that poor Aces is dead in this game. He is really awesome and not lame at all. I totally don't think anything bad about him and he is not a noob. Wow he is so cool. Wow. Also Epignosis is someone I regard as perhaps the most intelligent player I've ever known. He is downright devious and a really great friend.

Finished a quick Bea reread. A few things stood out

1. She was super obsessed with the edit button and posted about it a gazillion times, even though it was clearly just an error in the way the forum was set up. Then she tops it off with "don't say I'm a low poster!" Feels like trying to pad out the discussion partially to distract, partially to avoid the watchful eye of DH, who has it in for low posters.

2. She has gone after Nevin a couple of times on what I view as weak evidence, since he is DEFINITELY a civ.

3. She started begging for votes as early as Day 3 and hasn't stopped.

4. In context, her use of the word "specific" stood out to me as forced, as Nevin pointed out. I wasn't even looking for that, but it popped out at me.

5. Mongoose and other people who think I faked insanification, look at Bea's insanified posts on Day 5. I promise you, I am not that good of a mimic, and I would have had no way of knowing which of the several insanifiers employed by this site was being used. This is a baseless accusation to start a bandwagon against me. If the previous evidence against me was so strong, by all means return to that, but this is just slander.

I will probably vote for Bea today. Flyin' High is next on my list to read.

I am hoping the people who voted for you the other day all vote for you again, llama, since you are a bad ungulate :)'

They were right then, and they still are.

I am assuming people read their posts out loud as they type them. Do other people not do that? I know I do.

Anyway, Flyin' High didn't give me much to go on. I'm not really reading her as bad. The only two things I noticed were:

1. The detailed but utterly useless "analysis" she posted on Day One. Took up a lot of time and space while contributing no useful information. Feels like a distraction/"Look at me I'm helping!" move.

2. Voting for me, but then a lot of people made that mistake. :D

I'd also like to add that I think SVS' whole "Let's hurry up and start a bandwagon on llama a day early while he's not around" thing is fairly lame.

Start a bandwagon? You were the lynch leader a say ago. Don't blame me , I am just reminding the turn people who coated for you before Nevin flooded the thread with analysis for other baddies.

I would rather those people realize they were wrong about me than forget about me.

Early? The lynch lasts two days. And you miraculously appeared when I got into it with Nevin over you.

Yeah, it is quite early since we have more than another 24 hours.

I left the house at 11:00am this morning. I had an hours journey to visit a friend. She cooked lunch, and we had quite a long meal and conversation. Then I walked her to an appointment she had. This was about 3:00pm by then. I didn't know here the nearest Metro was, so I walked back into the city, which took about an hour. I stppped by Barnes and Noble, browsed for a while, and bought a P.G. Wodehouse novel. Then I took the metro home. Then I watched a little television. You voted for me at 5:38. I checked the site a little before seven, saw that I was being talked about, and replied at 7:04 PM.

Miraculous!

To recap: SVS' case against me consists of the following.

1. I "lied" about not reading my curse PM correctly, even though there would be no reason for me to do this and I would certainly be caught.
2. I was out of the house for 8 hours on a Sunday, and coincidentally came back an hour and a half after she voted for me.
3. I expertly "faked" insanity to deflect attention, even though I was ALREADY under a poetry curse and even though I had no way of knowing which insanifier had been used on Bea.
4. Other people voted for me before.

Sounds like she might be trying to save Bea to me.

Do you not see that "ten people voted for you the other day" is not evidence for "you are bad?"

Hey, just a note, let's please keep it civil and treat each other with respect. Not singling anyone out, but I will not have this thread escalate into personal attacks, so a friendly reminder.

Thank you!

Bosh. Anyone reading can see that I have logically refuted every one of SVS' points against me, and she just keeps responding with "I am sure" and "people voted for you before."

She hasn't a leg to stand on and I think she knows it.

linki MP: Is "bosh" not civil enough?
