I am a bit behind here. I have about 4 pages to read in 20 minutes. I may be forced to skim unfortunately. I will try my best in the time I have left. :(

Well it looks like inh made a good target today. I will be sad to see him go, but hope everyone is right about his role.

I dont really like the VAL voting bloc that seems to follow every game regardless of alignment. (This may be because they lynched me once :noble: ) I dont get a baddie vibe from Lizzys game, but Vomps seems very quiet although present and now posting in Spanish. I am throwing my vote on him to participate more cause I know he has it in him. :D

Votes Vomps

Lo siento al wombat. :fiesta:

I was just getting ready to write that I don't think I've ever voted for Vompatti before, and now seems to be a solid time to do it.

I'm voting Vompatti.

So....obviously INH doesn't have any such a program as he is describing. What is not so clear is why people are engaging the idea so much? It almost feels like people are engaging just to engaging and quoting. I dunno. very odd.

I guess the real question is if all this makes INH a baddie? I have 9 minutes to finish reading, and I don't think that I will be able to do so. :( :( :(

I voted Lizzy. While scanning through, her quick acceptance and willingness to believe what INH was trying to sell was the only thing that really pinged me. As far as the INH super mafia machine....I just don't understand why he would pull any of that nonsense unless he was trying to get lynched. I don't lke giving people what they want in a mafia game.

Sorry that I had to scan and almost missed the voting. There was a lot of posting done in the 24 hours and I just didn't give myself the proper time to get it all in.

Day 1: It Had to Be You

It had been decided. It had to be insertnamehere.

"I hate you all," sneered INH. The Spider Splicer tore him to bits. Or so everyone thought.

INH emerged, triumphant, with a Spider Splicer corpse held above his shoulders. He threw it at Nevinera. "How's this for your data?!"

"Well done, everyone!" commented the voice. It chuckled. "Let's go." The scenery flashed white once more as the players found themselves in Arcadia.

"Alright, take some rest, you champions deserve it. Go on. Enjoy Arcadia! It's actually a nice place!"

No one has been lynched.

It is now Night 1. You have 24 hours to send in your night PMs.

So he's got a machine, right?

And it studies all the words we use in all the websites we play Mafia on to determine who is bad.

Never mind that we only played two Mafia games on Prog Archives in like 2009.

And never mind that many of us use different usernames across different sites.

And never mind that people as players change over time.

And never mind that words have different contexts depending on how they are used.

And never mind that his data sample is ludicrously small for such a project.

And never mind that shit Nev said that was over my head.

And never mind that Mr. Supercomputer should know that I'm a DUDE.

Well, this worries me extremely. I think those posts mentioning Voldemort's name so much earlier may have been misguided.

Wanted to mention this. I was a baddie that game, and I'll say that bloc was SUUUPER easy to take advantage of (no offense, guys). My team would have lost much much sooner if we hadn't been able to plan on having all their votes. I believe they were all civ. So even if they're not bad, I think their behavior definitely puts the civs at a disadvantage. Worth thinking about for tomorrow, anyway.

And nice doge, Boomers.

Okay, caught up. Just want to emphasize two things, one of which I already emphasized, so I didn't think I should have to again, but here we are:

1. Treat each other with respect, please, all around.
2. This is a fucking Champions game. Play like a Champion or go home. CHAMPIONS.

Also, there were four missed votes. Unacceptable for any game, let alone a Champions game.

That is all!

I know. I was hoping i was wrong with all the "lulz, lets say the name" (if you search the thread for just the nickname, there are 75 posts, many of them mentioning him more than once, not counting his full name) but if he is doing the gloat this openly, yeah, I see nothing positive coming from this. I hope he is just messing with us, though, and i was wrong.

S~V~S, didn't the points carry over in American Gods? I can't get into the host section to double check. I know the points carried over in the original Mr. Pop and it did indeed make him overpowered (he did get killed though in a double lynch switch as I recall). I know this doesn't automatically mean these points carry over I'm just trying to compare with what's happened in the past.

To S~V~S's point, I kept forgetting to mask the name on day 1 but I don't think I'll forget again.

Is INH being ominous? Why do people keep being ominous lately? Since he seems to want to draw attention to himself, it would probably be better not to feed him.

Don't let a liar ruin your evening.
I didn't thanks. :wine: ;)

DF - the speculation is That Guy could be Media and we should stop referring to him by name. Epi flaunted that idea mightily and I didnt think about it too much. I am inclined to think this was a poor choice on our parts. He did asked to be called That Sexy Motherfucker, but I prefer to use Sexy Mofo or That Guy now.

Do the lyrics That Guy is posting mean something to anyone?

Hedge, the "it's such a perfect day" lyrics are from a Lou Reed song that's being used to advertise for PS4. That's all I've got, I've only heard it in the context of that commercial where the combatants are singing it to each other, indicating the combat makes a perfect day (at least that's how I interpret the commercial).

I think maybe tomorrow we should vote for Put Identity in a Location without actually saying anything. Just cast votes if that's who you want to vote for. If you want to vote someone else, then discuss it obviously. But if you want to lynch Media, speak not the name!

Also the lyrics mean nothing to me. I guess we're both sick, uncultured brutes.

I could be on board with that as well. I don't like how [redacted] has dominated the thread and gloated so much at his own survival.

It was also used pretty famously in Trainspotting when Renton (aka Obi Wan) ODed. :)

So now that someone other than me has pointed out the folly of keeping up the whole discussion regarding that guy and his stuff, now you're on board.
