Sorry, MR.
I can elaborate a little. I was pretty sure that the lone baddie in a game like this wouldn't miss the first opportunity to lynch a civilian, so I wanted to protect you from being killed.

I'm happy to talk at night. I had to make a quick decision once I decided to change my vote, and I felt like I was getting a bit of a bad "look how helpful I am" vibe from MR. That's fair enough - what do you think of my point about AP and his fairly lame reason for voting MetalMarsh? I know my random was lame but AP said he did it because MM was too quiet - and a look at page one says that he was anything but quiet.thellama73 wrote:I'm happy to talk at night. The trouble with AP is that he says things that make no logical sense ALL THE TIME. I think I have lynched him like three times for being illogical, and he always flips civ. That being said, I do think you make a good point and I am not feeling great about him right now.bea wrote: That's fair enough - what do you think of my point about AP and his fairly lame reason for voting MetalMarsh? yea. IDK - cuz I know matty is always saying things that make no logical sense - It's frustrating when he's civ and also useful when he's bad so I see why he still does it.
And for as much as his vote makes me all "wait? wot?" the defense of vompi makes me pause a bit. I know they always do, but that post read genuine to me - ya know?
And also - there is only one baddie. So it's not like there's teammate defending going on...

I think it's a necessity, then again, I'm not sure I see why we shouldn't talk at night.bea wrote:how do we feel about talking at night? In a game this small and this fast, I can't see any practical reason to avoid it outside of the last minute PM by our one baddie.
I do think though it might be a risk I'm willing to take. I can't see any way around talking at night and still making an informed decision.
thoughts? Anyone?
Another facet of mafia I'm not used to. Where I've played, typically the thread is shut down at night from discussion.

Still missing 1 PM, so don't forget.
I am off for a busy day of errands, including taking James to the vet and then getting my hair cut and re-colored for my interview with the Office of the AG on Weds (woot), but I will endeavor to get the night post done in close as proximity to the night poll's end as possible.

Re: [Day2]:Redacted Case of Ed & Lorraine Warren, Demonologi
A tour of their Room of Curiosities:
Ed and Lorraine arrived at 3246 Pleasant Terrace. Over the week of telephone conversations with the Nykvists, activity had grossly escalated at the house. Keys went missing and were found in the butter drawer of the fridge. Shoes mysteriously appeared in the back of an unused cubby under the stairs. Most worrying though was how morose Aria had been in the last week. Barely eating and barely talking, she had grown increasingly withdrawn after the wallpaper incident.
Lars and Matteo greeted the Warrens at the door.
"My goodness, I can really feel a heavy presence in this house," Lorraine said.
Ed talked to the men while Lorraine wandered through the first floor. She shivered as she walked by the cubby under the stairs.
May I go to the upper floors?" she asked Matteo and Lars.
"Yes, of course, you have free run of the house," Lars said.
"Yeah, let us know if you need anything," Matteo added.
"And where is the child right now? Aria, where is she?" Ed asked.
"She's at a neighbor's house for the day. They have a little boy that's the same age as Aria. I think they are going to a park today," Matteo explained.
Lorraine headed up the stairs. She paused at Aria's room. She put her hand on the doorknob, but did not go inside. Instead, she went down the hall to the door that lead to the third floor. The stairs had a door at each end, which made the air in that stairwell quite heavy and stagnant.
"I'm going up to third floor," she said to the men below.
"Wait until we get up there!" Ed said from below.
As Ed, Matteo and Lars hustled up the stairs, Lorraine opened up the bottom door of the stairwell. Stepping gingerly, she was taken aback by the palpable level of dread she was feeling. The men had reached the second floor and Ed was standing at the bottom of the stairs, holding the door open.
"Should we follow her?" Matteo asked Ed.
"Not just yet," Ed replied. "I like to give her a little space to figure out who we have living here with you first."
Lorraine reached the top of the stairs and opened the door. As she tried to enter the darkened room, she was pushed down the stairs.

Re: [Day2]:Redacted Case of Ed & Lorraine Warren, Demonologi
MM works, or Marsh, I'll notice those easiest
There's only one way MR could have died, and that's because of Lars Nykvist's role of getting the possibility of a double vote. So that means Wombat or llama had that role, and based on llama's statement about switching, I believe it was him. Yes Llama originally suggested a no lynch, but he also apologized to MR after he voted, possibly insinuating MR was going to die. Llama also clarified that a tie would result in a no lynch, so there's more info to back that theory up.
There's the other possibility that Wombat has the aforementioned role, but I don't believe that is the case based on the above information.
There's only one way MR could have died, and that's because of Lars Nykvist's role of getting the possibility of a double vote. So that means Wombat or llama had that role, and based on llama's statement about switching, I believe it was him. Marsh it is! I'm going with the one you suggested. I was Beatrice828 on sites for like ever - it was always naturally shortened to bea. If somehow somewhere someone just decided they would refer to me as 828 - even though it's my birthday - I would still be - "just call me bea. I'll recognize that." - Sorta like A person and "matty" At some point, He'll just be Matty. See what PA's habit of using real names gets you Matty?Metalmarsh89 wrote:MM works, or Marsh, I'll notice those easiest

And - your thinking is exactly what my thinking was. Before the night - I was convinced that either Lama or Vompibat was Lars, just wasn't sure which one. After the NK - I think you are right as well.
So - who do you think? vomibat or A Matty?
I know I'm a civ - so I've obviously taken myself out of that equation.
I'd also like to hear from both of them before I vote, because - hellz bells Marsh - you could have killed llama. Don't think I'm not also thinking that as well.

Likewise on the others. Naturally, we need everyone's input.bea wrote:I'd also like to hear from both of them before I vote, because - hellz bells Marsh - you could have killed llama. Don't think I'm not also thinking that as well.
I'm still crunching possibilities in my head, which I'll probably end up sleeping on. I'm possibly thinking Wombat, but that's not a very strong FOS. I think it was more circumstantial than anything else that he had voted MR on that lynch. But Llama had voted him before he switched to MR for the lynch.
As for Matty, I don't get the whole thing about me being quiet, as if I was the only one. He hasn't said much yesterday or today for that matter. Quite the behavior for someone who's expecting more from me.
And of course I haven't ruled you out bea, but I'm getting the strongest town vibes from you. But that very well could just be your playing style. If you try a random vote again today, I'm voting you without question.

Re: [Day2]:Redacted Case of Ed & Lorraine Warren, Demonologi
nope - no random at all ever again. I just needed to get my feel for the micro aspect of the game. I used to be a pretty decent speed player - but I've not played *quick* games in AGES - so I kept thinking day 1 I had more time- and I really -when I re-read - and saw how vocal you were on d1 - made me be all "FUCK!!! FUCK!!! I FUCKED UP HERE!!" and while I was trying to show why I was changing my vote (re matty's weird reasoning - ) the fucking vote ended.
honestly - at this point - matty has to make a really great case as to why I SHOULDN'T vote him.
Because it's where my natural insticts are telling me.

Re: [Night2]:Redacted Case of Ed & Lorraine Warren
Matteo, Lars, and Ed rushed to Lorraine's side. He and Matteo hauled her up and toted her into their bedroom, where she could rest. Matteo kneeled by her bedside while Lars rushed to make her some coffee. Ed sat next to her, fingering his rosary.
Suddenly, Aria ran into the room, hair askew, and her eyes solid white. She put her hands around Matteo neck and snapped it with a loud thwack.
A Person has been lynched.
He was Matteo Primero.
It is now Night 2. You have 24 hours to send in your night actions and vote in the optional night poll.
