Romance of the Three Kingdoms (SIGN-UPS)

Based on the novel of the same name.

The civilians are divided into three factions: Shu, Wei, and Wu. All three kingdoms need the Yellow Turbans, the Nanman, and Dong Zhuo dead to win. However, only the faction with the most living, non-recruited members will win.

At the end of each Day, the two recipients with the most votes will have a duel to the death. The victor will take the place of honor. He will be protected by bodyguards that night and will claim his choice of prize. The loser is eliminated and revealed.

Leader Class
Each faction has one leader. Leaders have unique abilities that aid their respective factions. In a duel, they roll one six-sided die.

Warrior Class
Warriors are the strongest roles, and most likely to win in a duel. They have no innate special abilities, however. They are the most common class. In a duel, they roll one eight-sided die.

Strategist Class
Strategists are the weakest roles, and most likely to lose in a duel. They do, however, have special abilities. All main factions have one strategist, except Shu, which has two. In a duel, they roll one four-sided die.

Shu – Virtue

Liu Bei
Leader
The leader of the Shu faction, Liu Bei is a believer of virtue.
Has BTSC with Zhang Fei and Guan Yu.

Zhang Fei
Warrior
This drunken, fiery warrior will do anything to protect his sworn brothers.

Guan Yu
Warrior
The bearded legend is one of the greatest warriors in China.

Zhao Yun
Warrior
One of the five Tiger Generals, Zhao Yun serves Shu with honor.

Ma Chao
Warrior
Known as Ma Chao the Splendid, he is one of the five Tiger Generals.

Huang Zhong
Warrior
An elderly general, highly skilled in archery, he is one of the five Tiger Generals.

Wei Yan
Warrior
Though originally a mere foot soldier, he became a famous general.

Pang Tong
Strategist
Pang Tong likes to use trickery to confuse the enemy.

Zhuge Liang
Strategist
He is the primary strategist of the Shu faction.
Zhuge Liang may post his thoughts in the thread each Night through the Host.

Wei – Ambition

Cao Cao
Leader
Ambitious and deceitful, Cao Cao is the leader of the Wei faction.
As long as Cao Cao is alive, all Wei members get +1 to their duels due to subterfuge.

Xiahou Dun
Warrior
A stray arrow took his eye, which he ate; he still serves dutifully.

Xiahou Yuan
Warrior
A talented archer, he fights alongside his older cousin.

Zhang Liao
Warrior
Named one of the five elite generals, he is considered the greatest of the five.

Dian Wei
Warrior
He was a mighty bodyguard who impressed Cao Cao with his strength.

Xu Chu
Warrior
He was a mighty bodyguard who impressed Cao Cao with his propriety.

Cao Ren
Warrior
Appointed grand marshal, he was a steadfast component of Wei.

Xu Huang
Warrior
A famous siege breaker, he has routed armies.

Sima Yi
Strategist
A devious man, he is the primary strategist for the Wei faction.

Sun Jian
Leader
The Sun patriarch.
Any votes against him by Wu members will not count. If he dies, the benefit passes to his next child in succession.

Sun Ce
Warrior
Brave son of Sun Jian.

Sun Quan
Warrior
Wise son of Sun Jian.

Sun Shang-Xiang
Warrior
Feisty daughter of Sun Jian.

Huang Gai
Warrior
Stalwart warrior and an explosives expert.

Zhou Tai
Warrior
Heroic savior of Sun Quan.

Ling Tong
Warrior
His bonhomie received praise even from the civil servants.

Taishi Ci
Warrior
His cunning has led him to serve under many lords.

Zhou Yu
Strategist
A strategist who specializes in combat.
He observes duels, and will learn the alignment of the victor.

Rebellious eunuchs and spiritualists.

Leader
The leader of the Yellow Turban Rebellion, he is able to summon the wind and rain.

Meng Huo
Leader
The Great King of the Nanzhong people.
Meng Huo will order someone captured; his captive cannot post or vote the next Day.

Lady Zhurong
Warrior
The wife of Meng Huo.

Jinhuan Sanjie
Warrior
First Chief of the Three Ravines.

Dong Tu Na
Warrior
Second Chief of the Three Ravines.

Ahuinan
Warrior
Third Chief of the Three Ravines.

Independents

Dong Zhuo
Leader
This notorious warlord has an entourage of bodyguards, protecting him always from assassination.
Cannot be Night killed. Inherits the Yellow Turban kill.
Victory condition: Last Man Standing.

Yuan Shao
Strategist
Military strategist and commander.
Each Night, Yuan Shao will attempt to recruit a warrior (anyone with BTSC cannot be recruited). He may recruit up to three warriors (one from each kingdom). *Secrets*
Victory condition: All leaders must be dead, and Yuan Shao or one of his recruits must be alive.

Lu Bu
Warrior
A most fearsome warrior, and rider of Red Hare.
By the third Night, Lu Bu must decide what faction he will fight for and achieve victory with. *Secrets*
Victory condition: Win with his aligned faction and survive.

Do not let the numbers fool you- this is a relatively simple game by our standards despite an unorthodox lynch mechanic.* If you are looking for something more relaxing yet still challenging in scope, then this is for you.

The thread will be locked at Night, which will help some of you catch your breath.

*Each participant will have two votes each Day phase instead of one, so you will be able to vote or your top two suspects.

I have been interested in this one since the poll. I'm in. But bear in mind I will have a speed game that should start probably while this game is running so I may not be able to be as engaged at that point, but I intend to do my best.

I am also a maybe for now. I am signed up for 2 games already, lets see how they play out. I am sure I will join this eventually unless it fills up super fast, but with other games, getting ready for Stoners and getting ready to help my brother move & change over landlords, I want to be sure I have the time before committing.

I'll probably sign up for this one, but I told the gf I was out of Mafia for the time being (but shhhh no one tell her I'm signed up for 2 atm). Seeing as this one needs like 36-37 peeps, it will probably be a bit far off.

This is a scenario in which lynching non-participants works out for most of the players. As long as the non-participant isn't a part of your faction, it's a positive lynch for you, and he wasn't helping things along anyway.
