This is the best way to handle Mafia when busy. It's not necessary to obsess over reading every post, or one will never be able to keep up and make any real posts. Just read a little bit and go with it, like you've said.nijuukyugou wrote:Fine. But since I'm going to be straight up stupid busy, I'm reading maybe one page a day. Maybe.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms (SIGN-UPS)
See, here's the thing...
A) I claimed I wasn't going to play full size games anymore, so signing up would make a liar out of me.
B) If I break my full game retirement for this game, everyone else will assume they can guilt trip me into playing their full games too.
C) I have a heist game in sign-ups and a speed game that will hit sign-ups as soon as this game gets started and/or the current speed game ends. Playing one while hosting two may be possible for the mafia elite, but I am not among their ranks.
Maybe if these sign-ups hit the one month mark I'll consider reconsidering, but you'd have to promise to lynch or NK me first thing.

Nobody gives a shit about retirement promises. If you want to play, play it. We'll love having you. If you don't want to play, don't. Nobody can guilt trip you into doing anything.
But if you are busy to the point you want to die on N1, you should probably wait for a better time to break your retirement promise.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms (SIGN-UPS)
I agree. Life changes, situations change. I've seen SO MANY players say they're retiring completely or temporarily only to come back earlier than they said they would (if they ever did), myself included. It doesn't matter. I'm going to be busier than fuck the next month myself but I'm here to have fun.Dragon D. Luffy wrote:Imo:G-Man wrote:See, here's the thing...

I think retirement promises are silly, but I also think gaming addiction is a real thing so I don't wanna be that guy who pulls people back into it. Just come back when you can come back, and if you never can, don't stress it.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms (SIGN-UPS)
I still have some free time but the problem is that the job is already done in a computer so playing mafia after work can exhaust my body. I had headaches the last time I played a big game. The random.org thing is a health measure.
But spending one hour a day trying to spot bullshit in some random posts and yelling at people is a good proposition.

Last time I went to the doctor, she said I had multiple personalities.
She suggested I play multiple roles in a single game of online mafia. She said it would allow me to relieve my various selves through multiple outlets.

Realistically with such a huge player count you'll need some replacements from the get-go, so consider me for that.MovingPictures07 wrote:Okay, so we need 2 more. Let's spam PM Quin, Sloonei, and Rico. I'd love to play with any of them again.
I don't want to join in right away just because I'm still in quite a bit of pain from getting my wisdom tooth out (saying tooth instead of teeth is just a bad reminder I've got 3 left to go) and I don't think I could really invest myself in the game enough to do it justice.

I don't want to join in right away just because I'm still in quite a bit of pain from getting my wisdom tooth out (saying tooth instead of teeth is just a bad reminder I've got 3 left to go) and I don't think I could really invest myself in the game enough to do it justice.
Oh, and do your best not to get dry sockets. It was the 2nd most painful thing I've ever experienced.
I've been good to my gums so far but I'm almost out of painkillers
I can't even imagine.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms (SIGN-UPS)
Quin, I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out and I was eating (heh) Chinese food that night at a birthday party.
Sign up sir.
I am not altogether concerned about replacements. I would rather start before summer break is over and I have to go back to the grindstone.

If the stress gives me dry sockets, I'll never forgive you.
