Each night, players will go to tribal council and decide as a tribe who to vote off. Players may create alliances, make enemies, or remain lone-wolves, but in the end only 1 person may win the title.

This game might be a bit of a change of pace from some of the more recent games on this site.
Infodumping IS ALLOWED. Information is a very important part of Survivor. How you choose to use it is up to you.
Every character has abilities, and the roles will be revealed with each torch snuffed out, but in the meantime it is a CLOSED setup. This is strictly a Last Man Standing type of game, very much like the hit reality show that still rears its beautiful/ugly head 17 years later.

There will be no unauthorized Behind-the-Scenes-chat in this game. You all can preplan however you want before the game starts, but after receiving role cards you may not private message people on topic. There are devised opportunities for BTSC, so fear not, schemers. :nicenod:

I understand many of you have busy lives and can only pop in from time to time. Therefore, most challenges were designed with this in mind to take place over an entire day phase, but note that some may have a regimented start time- usually an hour or two before EoD (This will be made apparent at the start of that day).
You do not need to be an active participant in challenges to win this game, but it may be in your best interest. :nicenod:

:ponder: Apparently so. Well, there is no world in which I would even have the remotest chance of winning with such an adversarial set-up. That and having to endure Sig's rabid pursuit of me from the get-go (irrespective of my alignment) makes this a kinda unattractive option for me so sorry, Scotty - I'll pass on this one :bighug:

Don't be silly Glorf! The facet of this game that is so great is that there is no preconcept or obvious way to win it. Even the greatest characters in Survivor won by playing with integrity and honor to get where they got. Some didn't. But that's the nature of the game!

Think of it as being a member of the mafia in a game with no civilians. Sort of

Either way, no pressure! I don't wanna coerce you into doing something you don't think you'll enjoy :bighug:

More like being a member of the town in a game with no mafia, but having to lynch people anyway.

The good side is that no-one should accuse you of being bad when you aren't, so you don't have to defend yourself in that way.

The bad side is you will have to vote friends out despite the fact you know they aren't 'mafia' in any traditional sense, but just opponents to winning the game.

I do feel like this style of game is very good for making friends and getting to know people.

I really don't care for LMS games like these. They're not proper "Mafia" games (i.e., informed minority vs. an uninformed majority).

Indeed. It's definitely a slight departure from what some might be used to here, but lynching people you must!

I might also mention that there is an element of survival in this game independent of tribal council: Players have a hunger, thirst and energy level that will fluctuate every cycle. If your hunger or thirst level reaches 0, you will be medevac'd from the game (aka ded)

We're practically halfway to full! I expect to see some familiar faces join once Game of Champions gets further along~~

This game will be as laid back or frenetic as you want to make it! If you're nervous to join because you're unsure of the mechanics, just know that everyone is. Except for me. I know the mechanics well. :noble:

Did anyone in here play Roxys Survivor game on RM?

In my research, I remember seeing a Survivor game you set up in sign-ups from years ago. Did that ever take off?

Also looked that up a year ago, and it said I needed to be an approved member to read through it. But I hear from several people it was a blast.

It was. There were two tribes, and the baddies were split between them. I was first runner up (baddie) and tranq won it (civvie), we were from the same tribe. It was one of my top5 favorite games of all time. Super fun.

Except for the LC/BR Recruitment games, that Survivor game was the best game I ever played, even with Tranq yelling at me over those immunity challenges.
JaggedJimmyJay wrote: Sat Aug 21, 2021 3:24 pm Always good to remember that there is no such thing as a Mafia circumstance that is worth real human emotion. Sometimes it will naturally come out, but it can be contained if we just remember that this is a game on a message board forum that 99.99% of the population of the Earth has never heard of before. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.

That was so much fun, I know I pissed the other baddies off but I was OK WITH tranq winning. I was just happy that I managed to fool him so completely. Those crazy challenges like which plant is most poisonous lol
