Hoi Typh!

1. I know you love to travel, where would you like to go when you get a chance to?
2. What is your favorite animal?
3. What is your favorite episode of Supernatural?
4. If you had access to the TARDIS, what time period would you go to? Would you go to the past? To the future?

There are still many places that I would like to go to... Closer to home there is Norway and Iceland that I have never been to but would really like to go to. Further away there's Peru/Bolivia and even Antarctica. I'm still young and have all the time in the world, so I intend to visit all these places rather sooner than later :noble:

A kangaroo.

leggyorlyb wrote:3. What is your favorite episode of Supernatural?
Shit.
Gun to my head: Changing channels. It fully embraces the quirkiness and insanity that SPN can become at times, is just damn fun to watch and has a great reveal. Season 5 is full of great eps, but I think that one stands out to me.
Most recently, the episode from last week, Baby, was the best episode they've done in years I think.
leggyorlyb wrote:4. If you had access to the TARDIS, what time period would you go to? Would you go to the past? To the future?
I hate this question normally (Because there are too many cool places to see)... But you say I have access to the TARDIS, so I can go wherever I want when I want all the time :D
I'd go to the Roman times first, simply because of the great stories that come from that time, the progress it has brought to humanity overall and the rich mythology it has spawned. I'd save see Peter Capaldi in Pompeii probably and then I'd leave... still same timezone, but I'd hop to Egypt for a bit, see Cleopatra, look at some Pyramids and just have a jolly good time you know? Then, to ancient China, see how civizilation begun, invent math. Then, on to Peru to see how they build Machu Picchu and how they managed to keep it hidden from the Spaniards.
I'd go a bit more modern then, probably skip the Dark Ages, too much risk of getting lynched by an angry mob and that has already happened more than enough in Mafia. Maybe see how Holland came to be exactly, celebrate the time that Belgium separated themselves from us (1830'ish), go a bit back in time and watch Napoleon for a bit.
At some point I'd get bored of the past and I'd go into the future to see what awaits me there :nicenod:

I used to be OBSESSED with supernatural but I haven't watched it in so long, i'm glad the recent episodes are still good! :) my fav episode is probably Mystery Spot, where Sam was trying to keep Dean from dying over and over

What do you think about the themes on supernatural on a serious note? Do you believe in ghosts, the afterlife, are you at all superstitious?

My 3 favorite (note that I say favorite, not necessarily the ones I think are the highest quality):
- Lost: I still have very fond memories of this show, even though the last season soured me a bit on the quality of the show. The amount of time I spent on this show, both watching and scouring forums for theories on what the Island could be make this show very special to me. It also led me to playing Mafia, and here I am.
- Arrested Development: My favorite comedy of all time and one of the very few shows that can consistently make me laugh, even if I've already seen the ep a couple of times. Hell, I find myself laughing more at some eps the more I watch them because you notice more and more and more of the effort that was actually put in.
- Breaking Bad: Science, bitch. That's all.

Honorable mentions for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and An Idiot Abroad.
Tranq wrote:Top 3 CW shows?
For the season that is currently airing:
- Supernatural
- Flash
- Arrow
I'm trying to think of a show on the CW that finished or that I stopped watching and I can't remember any. That's... Interesting.
Tranq wrote:How would you rank the past 10 Supernatural seasons from best to worst?
Jesus Christ really? Fuck you.
Ok.
5 > 4 > 2 > 3 > 1 > 10 > 8 > 9 > 6 > 7
I think. Ask me again tomorrow and I'll probably have a different answer.
Tranq wrote:What are your hopes and dreams for the future of Supernatural?
That the show will have a glorious ending and will not suffer a slow and miserable death like I've been expecting it will since Season 6.
For Gabriel to return. Hello best (Arch)Angel. Yes, better than current Cas imo.
For Lucifer to return. They've actually been hinting at that this season, so I think there's a good chance he will. He'll probably end up getting destroyed by the Darkness just to show how strong she actually is :(
For Jeffrey Dean Morgan to return as God in the final episode of the show. Earlier would be fine too.
Tranq wrote:Sam or Dean?
Sam. I'm more like Sam, I think. He's more the nerdy brother, the one who researches all the Monsters and figures out what to do. I also do not have a soul, or so I've been told.
Tranq wrote:Crowley or Castiel?
I'm not a huge fan of either of them atm if I have to be honest. Feel like they're just being kept around for fan service and they've run out of good stories to tell about them a long time ago. I'll give it to Cas for his performance in last week's Baby episode.
Tranq wrote:Favourite ASOIAF character?
First character that came to mind was Arya, so Arya. Don't feel like thinking about all the characters and explaining exactly why :p.

They're a mixed bag honestly, but they are still fun to watch and when the show peaks, it's still a joy to watch :). Mystery spot is a good one as well.

I do not believe in ghosts, the afterlife, nor am I religious or superstitious. I've never seen any reason to believe in any of this, so I don't. People are free to believe what they want though as far as I'm concerned, as long as they let other people believe what they want as well.
I do like how Supernatural handles these themes as normally, a lot is black and white in these stories. In Supernatural, most of the angels are huge dickheads (so are most of the demons to be honest). I also like the idea of a Heaven that let's you relive your most favorite memories over and over again. I feel that for a show that revolves around supernatural stuff, Supernatural is oddly grounded most of the time.

No need to say sorry. It was more me being surprised that a question about which socks I had bought was personal to me. :p

Not really. My mom used to listen to quite a lot of Beatles when I was growing up so I am familiar with most of their songs, but I never took a close look at who the Beatles actually were, apart from a Beatles speed game I played on the Piano (Hosted by you, if I remember correctly. Was it Piano? Think so).
I'll say Lennon because a friend of one of my brothers named her kid Lennon.

You and Bullz were great baddie teammates and teachers. Reywas and Dex were pretty fun, too.

Zebra's questions

Greatest mafia strength? As a civ, very little. As a baddie, I think I do a good job of redirecting attention away from my teammates.

Greatest mafia weakness? Tunneling. I'm like a dog with a bone when I set my sights.

Do you think Bernie Sanders will win? If he can get past the big bad Clinton machine, then yes I think he would destroy his opponent in the general election.

What is your favorite color? Blue

What is your favorite film? So many answers. The one I always go back to though is Shawshank Redemption. It is the only movie that I can watch every single time it's on, no matter what.

What is your favorite musical artist? Tough call. Generally, I can listen to most songs by Linkin Park and enjoy them, but they also don't play any of my favorite songs. But Linkin Park I guess.

What is your favorite food? Shrimp!!! Yum

What is a question you would like to be asked but no one asks you? Hmmm. "Is this your big bag of cash just sitting here unattended?"

Where do you see yourself in ten yea-just kidding, what is your ultimate pet peeve? I don't get bothered too often. But I hate it when I see grown adults picking their nose. Seriously get a tissue, yo.

What is your ultimate fear? Death.

Hey splints

What is a theme you have never played in a mafia game, but always wanted to? A Batman or DC comics related game.

Who would you like to have btsc with but never have before? That's tough, I barely remember who I've had it with. MacD, Zebra, and Golden would be fun I think.

Favorite number? I don't think I have one, but my favorite Lost number is 23.

Biggest guilty pleasure? Of all time, the 90's Melrose Place I guess. Remember when Dr Shaw tried to blow it all up to smithereens?! :omg:

Maaatt!

Have you ever thought about hosting a mafia game? If so what sort of theme would you like to have?
Who is your civ player hero? Why?
Who is your baddie player hero? Why?
Who do you think plays most like you?

What sort of work are you doing these days? Do you like it?
If money weren't an issue, where would you like to travel to and why?
What do you like to do when you aren't playing mafia?
What do you like to do to spoil yourself? Someone else?
If I came to visit you, what would we do?
If you came to visit me, what would you like to do?
Do you cook? If so what do you concider your specialty? If no, have you ever wanted to learn?
What is a skill you don't currently have that you would like to learn?
Do I wear my Queen Nub crown well? Does it make me look pretty?
Am I annoingly cute or cutely annoying?

Everything makes me laugh. In fact, I get weird looks from my friends because they often find me in laughing fits for no reason. I just may be crazy. Specifically, though, I don't know. I'm pretty juvenile, I usually laugh when a friend falls over or something to that effect. I thought the Justin Bieber roast was effin' hilarious, Kevin Hart is FUNNY. My two favorite comedy shows since the millennium have been The Office and Parks n Rec. Cat videos on facebook.

Early childhood memory...My earliest memory that I can remember, in fact, is me at 3 or 4 years old standing outside of my house, trying to climb a tree. That's stayed with me. A funny childhood memory...when I was about 6 or 7, my brother dared me to kill our neighbor in the manhood and I did. I was promptly spanked and grounded after my parents found out. Thanks bro. XD

That's a really great question. If we're talking his stance on the issues, then I'm not even sure I have a least favorite. Everything he says is gold, IMO. Raise the minimum wage above the starvation wage it is now. Tax wall street to send kids all around America to college for free. End Citizens United, getting big money out of politics, why should they be able to buy the politician of their choice? Yes, end the federal prohibition of marijuana once and for all. Gay folks should indeed have the same rights as any straight couple, and on and on and on. Everything he says excites me to be honest, you can tell this dude cares about PEOPLE.

But honestly, even though I recognize the many, many, many socialist programs we have in America, the fact is that the general population is scared of the word "socialist", so I don't like how he describes himself as such. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with his democratic socialism, but I believe people hear the word "socialist" and start to just freak out.

Lol @ Zebra, holy shit, where do we start how about the Wall we're going to build to keep all the mexican rapists out? Rofl wtf. Ya know, though, almost all of those candidates are scary. Ben mothereffin' Carson talking about banning a specific group of American from being able to be President. And Carla Fiorini? Gaah! Don't get me started! Oh my, Ted Cruz?! Gaaaaaaaaaaah!!! Marco Rubio no. They're all looney tunes.

It's Bernie or Bust!

Sorry bea! Didn't see those questions!

Have you ever thought about hosting a mafia game? If so what sort of theme would you like to have? Yes. I remember Dex and I made a South Park Mafia a few years back, I don't remember any of the roles or anything though. The movie Scream and the comic book Preacher would be fun too, I think.

Who is your civ player hero? Why? 3J, Ricochet, and Metalmarsh. See Talking Heads for details.

Who is your baddie player hero? Why? Bullz and Spacedaisy. Can never forget my first baddie team. I think they won without me too.

Who do you think plays most like you? Oh my, ummmm I'd rather not insult anyone. Haha!

What sort of work are you doing these days? Do you like it? Serving tables, as usual. I like the money, but I'd much rather do something I love (which at the age of 33, I still haven't figured out what that is)

If money weren't an issue, where would you like to travel to and why? I'm not big on Travel, but it would be nice to visit Illinois and Wisconsin to see my aunts, uncles, and cousins.

What do you like to do when you aren't playing mafia? I'm a big kid. Read comics, play video games, watch Netflix. Though when I'm on FB, I'm constantly sharing news stories on m'man Mr Sanders, much to everybody's delight. ;airguitar:

What do you like to do to spoil yourself? Someone else? I haven't really "spoiled" myself lately, money's been kind of tight. Though I do sleep in whenever I get the chance haha. Back in the day, spoiling myself would consist of buying $200 worth of comics at my local shop haha.

If I came to visit you, what would we do? Melt in the Arizona sun. Though it's pretty nice right now.

If you came to visit me, what would you like to do? We could make prank phone calls to other forum members you know from my phone. :P

Do you cook? If so what do you concider your specialty? If no, have you ever wanted to learn? I can cook spaghetti, mac n cheese, hot dogs, ramen, and that's about it. And obviously, I use the term "cook" lightly haha. I think it would be fun to learn how to cook, my brother is fantastic at it. Perhaps I should ask him.

What is a skill you don't currently have that you would like to learn? That's a great question. Hmm. I think it'd be fun to learn how to code.

Do I wear my Queen Nub crown well? Does it make me look pretty? Ah you're not a nub, bea! Well, maybe a little bit. And of course it does!

Umm...I have few follow up questions to this. I"m in PHX. Not sure which part of AZ you are in - but it has to be close ish right?

I like movies and food and booze and things. I'm sure we'd have a good time. Socky has posted picties of us hanging out. I'm not aweful! I swear!! Please like me.

OMG Bea I totally never saw this!!

Sorry dude :(

Anyway, I live in Mesa, close to the Tempe border. Just got a new job at the Cracker Barrel, and am on my third training day today (and then they're letting me loose by myself...on Thanksgiving :suspish: ), but once I find out my regular schedule, I'd love to plan something with ya all.

Which pizza place do you work at in Phx?

Also, love the alcohol, but am currently in recovery so I can't join in, but I think it would be fun to hang with a drunk bea and BDH

Lol. I asked MP to change it because every time I was addressed as "Matt F", it sounded funny to me. "Matt" seems normal.

Anyway, carry on Enrique.

Matt wrote:Do you believe in magic?
Not really, I guess. It's super cliche and all but Arthur C. Clarke saying "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" sounds about right.
Golden wrote:Hey Enrique
Hi!
Where are you from?
I'm originally from Cancun, but I've been living in Cholula, Puebla (oldest town in the country!) for a couple years now. The real answer is a bit trickier than that, because I spent much of my life living in Playa del Carmen, my whole family comes from Mérida, and most live in Miami now... but yeah, Cancun is where I was born and the place I identify with the most.
What brought you to the game of mafia? What site did you start your mafia on?
Oh, boy. My first Mafia game was mike10295's "Ten Little Indians" in Lostpedia, back in... mid-2008. The 13th Mafia ever held on the site, so yeah, you could say I'm an OG :slick: I was only 12-13 back then... scary thought. Mafia's been around for over a third of my life. Yikes.
What is your favourite food?
So hard to say! I've been a vegetarian for most of the past year, so that immediately disqualifies all the obvious answers I could think of like arrachera, picanha, carnitas, etc. My grandma makes a garlic spaghetti that she named after me, so I guess that works.

Here in Cholula they make so much great pizza, though. I've never been anywhere with so many pizza places, most of them artesanal, so it's worth mentioning just how much pizza I eat. My favorite that I've tried is this wonderful huitlacoche pizza with gouda cheese. Mmm.
What is your favourite article of clothing?
I have exactly one beanie hat that I end up using most days when it's cold outside. I grew up around Cancun so I never had to worry a lot about winter clothes, so now that I get to use them I think they're hella rad. There's also a few sweaters, coats, etc. that I love the hell out of. That beanie doesn't really have any competition though other than just wearing a hoodie, so I'm sticking to that.

Favorite mafia game you've ever hosted?
The original Last Man Standing, definitely. Circumstances haven't really allowed me to be as involved as I wish I could be in my own games recently, and even though I've tried to replicate it, LMS1 was really one of a kind. Coming up with a fun, experimental, and balanced game is one of my favorite things in Mafia, but I need a lot of time to make sure that I'm happy with them and I'm gonna be able to host. Last Man Standing just worked so damn well that all I want is to host another game where everyone can have fun like that.
Favorite mafia game you've ever played?
I'm not sure I have one. I was thinking the other day and I haven't even played that many games. I mean, hell, I just died in Star Wars and that was my 4th game since 2011! I have some very good memories, such as my miracle win in Trev's Star Wars, or the whole mess that was Monty Python and following my team to the end despite dying so early. I couldn't single out one game where I had a better time than all the others. They've all been great fun.
Favorite role you've ever had?
Saffron in SD's Firefly Mafia. I was an indie whose only goal was to get a specific player killed, and my only tool was being able to control one vote every night. I played it almost to perfection, except when I got the ball rolling to get this dude killed, somebody else died in their place. Then I got night killed. Oh well. But darn that was so fulfilling to almost get right, I've been dying for another chance.
What is your preferred alignment: Civilian or mafia (or rogue)?
I haven't played a full game as a civilian since The Hunger Games in 2011, but I'm not complaining, I love being bad :p Mafia or rogue, I can take either, anything that involves lying a bunch and being able to pull it off. So satisfying to get right.

Yeah. It's been a little complicated. I did a year and a half in Multicultural Relations, but due to personal reasons I had to take this year off school. Starting next semester I'll be back, now working towards a degree in Cultural Anthropology.
Do you think peanut butter is fabulous?
I think it's perfectly okay.
Whats your fave pair of socks look like?
Hmm. I like this black pair with like a rhombus pattern going on. idk, socks are more an annoyance than a pleasure, I'm happy with just wearing a pair.
How many languages do you speak/write?
Fluently, just Spanish and English. I've taken German a couple times, but never had anywhere to practice it so the knowledge just comes and goes. I grew up in a semi-Portuguese speaking household (my dad's ex-wife is Brazilian and she raised my little brother bilingually), so I can understand Portuguese almost perfectly, but don't really speak it. Currently working on my French :)
Have you been to any of the pyramids? Are they as beautiful in person as they are in pictures?
Yes! I actually live right next to the Great Pyramid of Cholula. They're amazing.
Have you ever been to a cloud forest? (Its on my bucket list)
Ohh I had to google this one. I've never been in one, sorry to disappoint.
Whats the last song you listened to?
I went to bed last night listening to "Ghosts" by Houses and Homes. Cute song.

If your hair is purple, the grass is orange and the sky is fuchia what color would your ears be?
I wanna say green but that doesn't sound right. I think they'd probably be like guinda or burgundy red or something.
Metalmarsh89 wrote:Will there be a Last Man Standing IV?
Oh man. I was working on LMS4 at the same time as LMS3 started up. It was to be a full game and I had some great ideas for it. If it does happen, it would have to be until after the Job queue is done, which I personally am completely fine with. I can't just jump into things like this, I need to make sure everything's perfectly set before the game starts. So, I don't know, maybe.
