My kitty Lonnie

I took it for a game, but I tend to post more pictures of my dog everywhere in general, so figured the Lonster should get some props. Plus we need more people posting pet pics. Come on pet people.

Sometimes it will naturally come out, but it can be contained if we just remember that this is a game on a message board forum that 99.99% of the population of the Earth has never heard of before. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.

My neighbors dog, a huge poorly trained Cane Corso, got out and killed a cat. No one knows whos cat it is.

I HATE people who get huge dogs that can kill people and then don't train them properly. I have nothing against the dogs, I had Dobies for years, but it is so irresponsible to have a 150 pound dog and then not train it correctly. He pushed past them at the gate, would not come when called, and growled at his owner when he tried to get the cat away from him. He finally got the dog back in the yard, but still. It could have been my dog, I walk past that house all the time. It could have been a neighborhood kid, it could have been me.

I am just seething.

There are a lot of irresponsible dog owners. Sometimes people don't understand why I say I will and would never own a dog, but the simple reality is I do not want to be a responsible dog owner. It's a lot of work. If you don't want to put the work in, don't buy the dog.

That is why I will never own any type of dog. It's too much responsibility.

I have two housecats, stray kittens of a litter at my parents' farm. I feed them twice a day, check their water, clean their litter box, and occasionally clean up vomit. We never had to train them, we don't have to keep them quiet at night or chained up, and the worst they've tried to kill are flies and spiders.

They don't require walks or an incredible amount of bonding attention. If you want fluffy snuggles, and have handled the cats enough that they aren't afraid of you, then they will allow it. If you don't want fluffy snuggles, either ignore them or just push them away if they jump in your lap.

Off topic. Anyway, it's very little work. Would get another cat. Will never get a dog, as it's too much commitment. Especially not a dangerous dog.

Alex needs to post some pictures of Sato. Everyone flood his inbox with requests for pictures of his first pet. That way the next time he does actually get on the site he will be sure to share some pics. And probably yell at me... :haha:

I didn't see this thread, thanks SVS.

here's my 10-year old all white beauty, Lizzy.

she's a very charming cat, but temperamental (what cat isn't?). Doesn't get along with any other cats, or animals really, and completely hates babies, but she's a lap rat and loves affection from adults! Her favorite spot to sit is on me. Anywhere. But on me. Pretty uncomfortable and inconvenient sometimes, but eh.

She's beautiful, her eyes are amazing! I have always had black or grey cats, is she solid white like she looks? Or is she more cream?

And yeah, mine sleeps on me at night. He walks over me as I move like a log walker ha ha, it's pretty impressive. This is one of my favorites, it shows his personality so well. I was petting the dog not him, so he STOMPED off me and went across the room right in front of me and turned his back on me. So spiteful he is.

she's solid white. Usually, all white cats are either deaf or blind or both, but she's neither. She's very popular at the vets. They love her!

I think the deaf goes with white and blue eyes, I recall that from a class I took in dog genetics. They said it pretty much runs across most mammals.

She is just lovely.

And my two fight at times, the cat is a bully, lol. But they mostly get along.

My Lizzy doesn't like dogs.

My best friend has a rottweiler, and she slaps the crap out of him when he wants to sniff her butt.

My cat doesn't like other dogs; I feel he just tolerates Sookie. And Sookie doesn't like other cats, but I think she is afraid of Lonnie so she puts up with it, lol.

Lonnie chased a Doberman under a truck once, so yeah, cats can be very mighty!
