I said I was leaving the house (for band practice, if you must know). I don't post for 90 minutes and you're wondering where I am? Hell, obviously you're not reading posts.

It is rare that you and I agree, especially on a suspect with matching reasons.

I'm not going to "play it" any way. Our family is watching the show (we can't watch it as frequently as most), and the Shinigami eyes were raised again in the latest episode we viewed (episode 7, in which *SPOILERS*Ryuk tries to get Light to take the Shinigami Eyes because Naomi Misora was using a pseudonym*END SPOILERS*). So I asked about it in here.

As for Russ "coming out of hiding," as you put it, I predicted this before I left my house this evening- that he would begin posting on Day 2.

She feels a bit over defensive at being looked at too. I've never heard her say that there was too much discussion going on before this game. Here or on her own site. She's usually the one trying to get people to talk more.

linki - I always feel like I'm late responding to everything. :sigh:

more linki -satisfied in what way TH? Epi's responses? Rusty's? The fact that beer is on the way to me and dinner is easy to make and starting to smell delicious? That it's almost the weekend?

If it's such an obvious mechanic as Epi is making it sound like, when he's 7 episodes in, why did no one who has seen all of it not already mentioned it as a mechanic we should be worried about, and DH, who has seen it was still suspicious of Epi (at least before he gave the explanation). So either it's an elaborate set up by everyone who knows the theme to get Epi killed, or it's a minor thing and it's still weird Epi thinks it is so obvious it's a game mechanic and it's weird he just happened to bring it up before any non-baddie could know it was in the game with certainty.

In all fairness, I was aware of the Shinigami Eyes as they relate to the show and silently considered they could play a part in the game. I just felt like it would be more appropriate to wait until more information presented itself before I added my two cents.

I wish I could, but I don't really recall her being a baddie in a game we played together. I know I replaced her as a baddie in a game on K-site, but I'm not gonna lie, that game was so close to over, I did the baddie move of saying I was catching up but never really doing it.

Once his Bioshock game got underway, in which MovingPictures07 accounted for everything in the game except for the damn pipe puzzles (and hell, those might have been in there too), I purchased a WWMPD? bracelet. What that does is make me ask myself "What Would Moving Pictures Do?" as a game creator. When I got to the first episode that talked about the Shinigami eyes, I wondered how he might incorporate that feature. I figured it might have something to do with info, but I didn't guess what the trade off would be.

I am under the impression that MP got all PMs due to his announcements about ending the Night early and then not doing so.
So I wonder why there was no kill.

Same here. I remember hosting her in Willow as an independent, but she played a civilian-friendly game, as I recall.

Welcome Russ!

His earlier comment about waiting for a consensus to emerge before voting, his humorous deflection when I called him on it, and his layig quite low indeed for this whole game. I feel very good about this vote.

It's entirely possible and extremely likely that Russ has a role that gained something by staying silent on Day 1. What I don't really know at this point is what role that would be. My best guess, X Kira, is clearly wrong.

My problem now with it being role related is that since we now know the roles of living players are going to be revealed over time or when conditions are met or whatever, is that if that is in a role it would out him when that role gets revealed, while outting him as not certain roles (like X Kira) as they are revealed. That seems really weird to me, especially because there is no ambivalence about it, he's the only person who didn't post, we didn't have like 3 or 4 people who could each have a role with something similar.

And day 0. And night 1. And didn't vote Day 1.

I don't know, I don't trust it. If it is role related, which I can't make sense of, is there a civvie explanation? If it isn't role related, it just seems like a ploy to escape attention and then come in and fake it to stir up confusion when that stops working, and I definitely don't see a civvie explanation for that.

I for one would be happy to talk about lynching Snowman. :feb: As per SVS, laying low would be a good baddie move in this game and Snowman is doing that. As per Boo, I agree that the posters seem to get lynched while the non-posters (or low posters) don't. As a trained psychologist irl, Snowman will take full advantage if given the chance. I'm not ready to vote for him today, but I want to talk about it a lot more.

@Boo - I like your Russ logic. I also liked it when Epi used it. I don't see a way to spin his behavior as good.

About FZ, I don't like that she called me out, it was weird. But I really want her to be a civ because she is an awesome civ! I've only played one game with her though. I will have to take what SVS and bea say about her into consideration because they know her playstyle much better than I do.

TH, I want to sort out what people see in Snowman and re-read FZ. It seems like the case on FZ. is more meta and I don't recall if I've ever seen her bad. So I'll re-read her posts and see if I see anything there. I'm not looking at DH, Epi, boo, you or SVS at this time but there are a lot of people that are just sitting there with a question mark for me. Depending on what happens tomorrow I'll re-read some others as well. I'm not convinced about anyone right now.

Here you go, juliets:

I frankly don't have the time to comb through a couple hundred episodes of "Trice Yells at Everyone" every day. I'll offer my insight and contribute what I can, but I don't see the "discussion" coalescing around anyone in particular. All I see is argument ad nauseum around the D0 poll.

I'm happy to see so many involved, but how do you find so much to talk about when literally nothing has happened yet? The most earth-shattering event so far is the realization that Russ hasn't posted anything.

Players seem extremely out of character, and its making me crazy. er. I've pondered whether TH and Llama were just doing something kind of cliche, like they have bts and both are safe from dying, but that doesn't make sense. Its too old school plus why even draw attention to themselves or each other.

Then I pondered whether one of the teams was allowed to signal to each other through antics in-thread, but after re-reading roles, it doesn't seem to fit. Seems more like ppl are supposed to remain secretive. So I'm back to the notion that certain players were given some kind of task/challenge on day 0. Maybe if a certain option won, they wouldn't have to do the weird thing, or if they accepted the challenge, but the wrong option won, they would have to do some weird task.

Whatever reason, its disconcerting. I'm going to keep observing the players who are not as much in the spotlight.

Mata's pinging me a bit. Her post ^^ looks like it has a baddie mindset to it, specifically a baddie without BTSC trying to figure out what's going on.

and you know whats going on, with the unusual voting and all, but are not inclined to talk about it. Or can't. I'm no mind reader, so I'll have to get used to disappointment, I guess. There are plenty of other people to study. Who maybe don't have agendas.
