Banana, I dont understand. What has he done exactly to cause an argument? What arguments are you talking about?
Banana you were just here but didnt answer my questions so here is a reminder in case you're still around. I persevere when people don't answer my questions so might as well do it now.
JaggedJimmyJay wrote: Sat Aug 21, 2021 3:24 pm Always good to remember that there is no such thing as a Mafia circumstance that is worth real human emotion. Sometimes it will naturally come out, but it can be contained if we just remember that this is a game on a message board forum that 99.99% of the population of the Earth has never heard of before. No matter how successful anyone is, it means just about nothing.

I know you already switched your vote, Zebra, but I did want to point out this is brand new territory for me. I've never had someone call a policy lynch on me before, and I really haven't been sure what to post since.

But anyway, thanks for switchin'. :)

Two posts. One is an introduction and the other is echoing what others had already said with nothing original to add. Out of the other minimal posters, nutella seems the worst to me at the moment. But like I said, there really isn't anything so far I find that suspicious, so it's more of a pressure vote than anything else. At least for now.

I don't plan to pursue this further than I already have, but I think of it this way. There are 15 civilian roles in this game, which means everyone has a 50% chance of getting a civvie role. If we assume that Bullz was one of the three players who had inside info on the poll, then there's only a 33% chance that he's civvie and a 67% chance that he's non-civ, which means he would be less likely to be civ than anyone else. I was pushing Bullz to see how I felt about him in relation to those possibilities.

In case anyone is interested (without having to go check the polls thread), voters of Progressive include:

Metalmarsh, Bullzeye, Floyd, SVS, Epig, BWT

If one baddie was told this would remove them from the lynch poll, I'm willing to bet he told his team. Unless LC barred such action?

Do we suppose the civ, Mafia, and indy were told that Long Con would tell the town that "one civ, Mafia, and Indy knew at the outset?" or did our host keep that info to himself when letting these players know?

You'd have to be daft to have your whole team pile on, though, right?

Plus, in the case of at least some of these people (Epi, Marmot, I'm pretty sure SVS), I know prog is also the truthful answer.

Count birdwithteeth in this category as well. No idea about Bullzeye. Floyd's name implies that he is. SVS, I think her tastes aren't as isolated to just prog, but she is a Floyd fan.

I'd also say that... being taken off the poll is not really friendly towards any one particular faction, the way that often different options are when each faction has a person with info on the poll. Do we know people had info or are we theorising? Should we assume that, if someone had info that prog would take you off the poll, that person would be bad?

Well, we know three players had info. Whether any of those players are the ones who actually voted Progressive in the poll is unknown, so I suppose we're theorizing if any of the six players who voted progressive were also the players who were given info.

If we are to assume that yes, those three players did vote Prog because of the info given, then no, there would be a 1/6 chance that one of the players are bad, 1/6 good, and 1/6 indy. Not all bad.

I'm tired, I dunno if that made any sense.

The glaringly obvious isn't taste it's that while the scum may have shared it to then go and pile on would be rank idiocy.

Being off the poll Day 1 is hardly a prize worth exposing your team over.

Also, please note the wording:
Long Con wrote:Day 1 has begun. You will be getting a PM about your new location (if you moved) within the next hour or so.

The poll will come up first. Those that voted for Prog will not be on the poll. One Civvie, one baddie, and one Indy role were told at the outset of the poll that this was a possible outcome of the Day 0 poll.
This means there were other possible outcomes.

Don't wrack your brain over this. I don't think it will get you any place.

I see I've already gotten a vote for not being around much. I'm just now checking in, I am having quite a busy week.

I think that Bullz is, or is one of the teammates of, one of the people who got info. That means that I think there is more than 1/3 chance that he is bad because I think it is likely that the baddie who got info told their teammates. As Epi points out I find it unlikely that all of the team members would vote for it, I wouldn't doubt that a couple of them would, and that there is therefore a greater chance that Bullz is on a baddie team than that he is a civ or indie.

Unfortunately, of course, I can't vote for him. So I'll have to resort to other Day 1 crap. Like maybe the Mac/Matt thing, but as I already said I think that both of them are fucking around uselessly and I'm kind of indifferent to both.
to the spoiler go the victories:

If Bullzeye had come in and said, "I like prog a lot. Here's my favorite Yes song," would any of you be questioning him about his vote?

In the first recruitment game on TP, I was the civvie recruiter. I was a civ in the LOST Map game on RM as well.

Get it straight Epi.
Epi- what's your objective in making a statement so easily proven false?
Why must everything have an objective?
Don't answer a question with a question.
May I answer commands from Sorsha that I'm not going to obey with a question?
So you have no reason for making false statements. Ok.

I swear to God I'm going to bring Don McLean back from the dead so he can write a song about the day the humor died.

It's not the presence of humor but rather the lack of a decent response that might be the issue, Epi.

That being said, I don't think the original post that got Sorsha on the offense warrants much investigation. To me it seems humorous as well and nothing more.

If I have to explain the joke, then it's not funny people need to lighten up.

Also, Don McLean isn't dead yet, so I'm waiting for some wise guy to chime in informing me of that as well. :meany:

I admire you for not even attempting to disguise your OMGUS vote, but I must inform you that your town facade looks worse for it.
