nutella wrote:Still so many votes for Syn... I am really quite wary of this bandwagon and do not think Syn is bad. I think this could end up as another neutral lynch, which is not what we need. But I could be wrong. Personally I think Lorab, Devin, and Reywas are bad and I will be looking into them more intensively for the next day. Along with BWT -- I liked Rico's case and could definitely see BWT being Ubzimbabwe.
Civilians could always attempt to recruit me tonight. If it succeeds then they've got confirmation going into tomorrow. If it fails then I'm obviously scum.

As it stands the most civilians gain from my lynch today is a few names of people wagoning an easy vote. That doesn't necessarily make them scum it just makes them lazy.

But yeah, when I flip neutral feel free to eat your words.

And I also stand by my statement that I haven't used a single night power. Once again this will be verified by my death so any contradictions to that in the thread may be useful intel. Or at least verified in the sense that I will have had no reason to lie about it.
And this is where I'd post my winnings... IF I HAD ANY.

@ syn -do you think it's best to vote teefies even if he's uzbuthecantbelynched today?

I mean - if you weren't trying to save yourself, where would your vote have gone?

Moved my vote. I don't really trust many of the BWT voters, and I think the Syn question needs to be answered at this point.

Also, I'm a bit intrigued at how Roxy is doing the Timmerbad thing. She has often caught my baddie game on the past but she's also used that fact when SHE was bad, to take the civ me out. Historically she doesn't really come out with sudden swagger like this, and I know she's wrong, so let's just say I'm watching the situation for now.

Bea -- I think the idea behind voting BWT is to see whether he survives to test the theory that he's Ubz. It certainly runs the risk of lynching a neutral (or even a civvie but I doubt that), but I think it would provide more info than a Syn lynch. I'm voting for BWT. Sorry if you die an innocent death but I think this is the slightly more productive way to go.

Be back later.

Why Azura specifically? Do you know he's not on team Ubz because you are? Also, wasn't your main reason for suspecting him based on his activity in the Bubbles lynch, if you think he's Bubbles' teammate that would be team Ubz. :ponder:
I agree that bwt is likely on team uz but if the theory that he IS uz is true he won't die today. I'd rather go for a team azura member because we haven't gotten one yet. :shrugs:

Id if it's bwt or timmer today. I don't think syn is recruited, th seems neutral to me as well. I've been suspicious of bea, especially since the bubbles lynch so I could possibly see myself voting there too.

The question was more why do you think timmer in particular is on team azura in particular, especially considering your earlier case on him was concerning his relation to a team ubz member.

Looks like I don't have much of a choice in where I vote. Going to vote Synonym to try and save myself.

Also, we have this...

Does anyone else think the chances of Synonym appearing as a Seemer are realistic at all?

Nope, still an unrecruited neutral.

Part of me is almost half-tempted to vote for myself and hope I get lynched. I think it will clear up a lot of confusion that's going around, even if it knocks me out of the game.

Linki: Wait, he was NKed? Why do I not remember that?

Linki2: True. Haven't heard from him in awhile. Unless he got silenced.

Recruitment Mafia IV: Dawn of the Clans (Day 8 Lynch)

Post by Long Con »

Siegebreaker

The War Monger was pleased; after only a week of conflict, the death toll was meeting and exceeding his expectations. Things had slowed down slightly, though, where the walled city of Hillsborn had shut out his forces, and turned it into a siege situation. Ubzargan would not be pleased, and his Warriors were getting restless - they had come for battle, not to sit around and wait!

Fortunately, the War Monger was as clever as he was bloodthirsty, and he knew what to do. "Fetch me a prisoner... and the mage!" He barked the order, and two soldiers instantly ran to fulfil it.

They returned with Synonym, hands bound, and looking worse for wear with cuts and bruises all over. The War Monger turned to the war wizard that had been summoned. "Amplify my voice. I want the whole city to hear me." The mage nodded and complied, casting a simple spell.

"People of Hillsborn!" he shouted, instantly loving the added volume in his mighty voice. "I have your man here, Synonym! The legendary Mistwood Ranger!" He drew a curved and jagged sword. "Will you simply stand by while your enemy does this?" Without a pause, he jammed the blade into Synonym's gut, and Syn dropped to his knees, his face wracked with pain.

He ripped out the blade and let Synonym's body drop into the dirt, smiling smugly. Only a matter of time until... he thought.

As if on cue, the militia of Hillsboro burst forth from their gates in rage. The followers of Ahriman led the charge, shouting loud and angry war cries. The War Monger smiled. "Ready, men! Time for some fun!"

Just then, from the treeline to the right, another, larger force began its charge. They were dressed in the green camouflage of Terras' military, and they brandished fine blades and bows of the Guardians of the Lifeforce.

The War Monger was no longer smiling. "Form up, men! Form up!!!"

Synonym has been lynched. He was the Mistwood Ranger, and a member of Team Ahriman.

It is now Night 8. Please choose your next Position.

Well, I went to try and vote for myself and missed it due to the poll ending. Oh well.

If Synonym does get lynched over me though, I think I want to start looking at the people who originally decided to push the case on him. Because right now, I feel like the baddies are subtly pitting neutrals against neutrals and getting us to lynch them to eventually try and outnumber the civs that way.

Linki: Well great then. That's about as awful as that result could have been.

Jeeesus Christ I need to stop staying in bed when on the computer. I am utterly ashamed I missed it twice (in a row) now.

I would have re-read timmer to see if I would vote him (I had enough bad vibes from him before seeing that Wilgy's odd case on him D5).

RIP Syn. Bad result for the Guardians as well. Can't say he wasn't suspicious for a lot of previous things, but the switch and his last reply left me undecided for toDay. For one thing, there was a difference in the past between Ubzorgun's lockdown (Golden 7 to Boomslang 6, apparently) and his lynch switch, in the past. The lockdown was more chaos making and distancing from both wagons than the teammate save the switch aluded to. We don't know which side Boomslang is, from the first lockdown, but this time it's proven his lockdowns are mostly of the former kind: waiting for a lynch leader, locking it on to him, hoping the second wagon then gets suspected and lynched the Day after.

We need to hunt Uzbeky the next Day. And vote the position that can help him the least with being lynched. That means voting Position 2, at least, should be out of the question. Can he protect himself from a lynch with position 5?

I'll get the reads finished toNight.

:disappoint:
So that really sucks.
I feel responsible in a way. I was first to vote him today. I think I've been at least mostly responsible for 2 straight mislynches. That looks very bad and I feel like a terrible player. RIP Syn. I'm sure he took hooourrrrs catching up this long game and he lasted shorter than me in my first sexual encounter. :(

There was definite cause for concern on his lynch. Reading back on some comments, there was such a drop off midday. That's either a good sign or a bad sign that something is up. Plus, the bandwagon yesterday comprised of Keeper of Ravens, SVS, Devin and DH.

I'm not leading any charges tomorrow (should I still be alive). I've obviously had a bad record this game. I'm gonna be a follower for at least tomorrow, which is strangely unlike me. But we can't afford to be wrong again.

That being said, I don't see a better lynch candidate than BWT, should we be able to. But am entertaining any and all options at this point.

Are you bad Scotty? As you admit, this is the second JTM player you've had a hand in lynching. You also play on JTM. :ponder:

I see you tryin' to weed out the players who know you. :suspish:

Voted #2.

@Roxy, one thing I've learned from our recent history is not rush to judgment, so I'm not even technically eyeing you yet, I'm just... intrigued. And I said you were wrong in my post, so I did essentially say I'm not bad, contrary to what you last said.
My siggie.

No. But now that you've pointed it out, that's suspiciously coincidental for sure.

Voted Pos. 4.

If we're going to focus on Ubz tomorrow (which I think we should) we don't want a lynch switch or a protect from him (plus mild consequences, whatever that entails). I think poison is, while not ideal, manageable.

nutella wrote:Still so many votes for Syn...

Well he lied about flipping neutral. Did he also lie about using a night power? I'm actually hoping he did, otherwise what a waste of some great abilities.
Could he have received intel on position 4 about BWT? Or was it just a saving-myself vote?

Since you're claiming you won, can you share in general terms what you won?
