Also, ordinarily I would maybe call a mafia lynch better than this result but the specific reason I think this is better is that the only way it could happen is on day one. So Rico had to make it happen that day or we would lose the resource.

I would have preferred a mafia lynch if rico's role was simply 'whenever you die, you get this ability'. But I far prefer it when civs take advantage of the opportunities they have.

I agree that Long Con's questions on the matter could use some answers. Rico, do you have the answers? Otherwise, we might need to hope for host clarification.

Well, I had no idea this lynch result was even possible, but I'm pretty pleased by it. I think having a confirmed civ as a discussion resource is worth more than people realize: we all now know exactly where Rico's opinions are coming from, and the way people agree/disagree with his arguments take on a lot more meaning.

Regarding the night poll, I'm going to vote for Bos taurus because, like Boomslang, it starts with B. Disappointed there's no Dispholidus typus option :P

I missed your answer the first time. I assumed the first was true, its the only way to make the role fun. The second is the more important one, though.

Off the top of my head, the rebuttals in which I actually blended flipping out with actually having an issue with the casemakin' were towards LoRab and juliets. I felt LoRab plainly picked up others' suspicion, which is uncharacteristic of her. I was also genuinely confused by how juliets can suspect LoRab for the things she is also doing (working with other players' material). Tranq's EoD felt very shady, tbh. I could add Dom's wagoning in the mix perhaps, but thing is Dom's D1 has been docile, and that doesn't show up in my baddie reads of Dom. I probably partly influenced him to take such an approach, but it is what it is now.

In Star Wars, he was very vocal and hunty early. The only other game I can remember that he was bad was RYM87 (Stock Photos), where he was under the pump from fairly early for coming across as disingenuous, but it was only his second game after having a supatown debut. I find his absences far more real life related than affiliation, in my experience.

Let me see if I can clear this up. This is the line in Epig's post that finally clicked for me as far as Lorab was concerned. It's not the only issue but it is the issue at question here:

"What is it about Ricochet that others have pointed out that Lorab "definitely" sees? With Ricochet being the author of almost a quarter (!) of the thread's posts, this is as unspecific as it gets."

In other words, she was using thoughts of others but she didn't name the others or the specific issues that led her to her suspicions. This to me sounded like something a baddie would do, make the suspicion as broad as possible and only find some specifics if someone asks for them.

In contrast, I provided specifics both for why I wasn't at the time suspecting Rico anymore and why I was suspecting Lorab based on things others had brought to the table. There is a difference in these two examples. The issue was about specifics with Lorab. I was specific in my suspicion.

I feel the need to add here that as I've said before I no longer suspect Lorab because when she addressed what Epig and Sorsha had said I felt she was sincere and was satisfied with her answer.

Nah, I just couldn't find anything suitable to represent you. I looked everywhere for a decent gold bar or even a kiwi, and I found nothing. I couldn't believe the Internet had never produced those things to this point. They did exist, but they were more picture than emoji and it seemed lame.

Atop the Champions Stadium, far, far above the field, was the Hosts' Office. It was right at the very rim of the dome, and had a vast window looking out over the stadium.

Standing by the window were a large bear in a crown, and a cute l'il monkey in a little uniform, looking out across the stadium.

They had just sent messages out to two groups, with a simple question; "Rock, Paper, Scissors?"

Almost immediately, a messenger ran up to their office with their first answer:

"Um, Rock! No wait, everyone says rock. Paper! But wait... scissors are sharp, like a knife, this is Mafia, people get stabbed all the time. No, no, I'm overthinking it, Rock!!
Wait, I just know they will pick rock. Make it paper, I already phoned a friend, that's my final answer. Ro... ohh PAPER. It's PAPER."

"It looks like it will be paper", said the Bear.

A few minutes later a second messenger came running up the stadium stairs. Out of breath, he handed them a sealed envelope.

The Monkey opened it. He looked at the Bear. "It says 'Rock" he said.

Later that night a group of Champions was sitting around a local pub, eating dinner & quaffing some brews. It was loud and crowded. Later, after it was all over, no one could seem to say just who it was that threw the paper airplane across the room. All they knew was that it had pierced someones eye, and plowed right into her brain. She slumped over into her plate, spattering radiatore and marinara sauce all over the tablecloth. She'd only gotten a few mouthfuls, too

Positions, huh? Can any regulars here give an idea on what kind of game mode this is? I'm imagining something like the circular cardgame setup where each player has a set position, and can have certain interactions with neighboring players depending on their positions.

The positions set up was from Recruitment Mafia- each role had a different power each night depending on what position everyone votes on the previous night.
