GAME OF CHAMPIONS 2015 INVITATIONAL GAME

This is the sign up thread for our annual GOC Invitational game. If you were the winner of either a Job (Full Game) or a Side Mission (Speed Game) during 2015, you are eligible to participate in our 2015 Game of Champions! You can expect an invitation in your Inbox within the next 48 hours. We have a BIG list of winners, so we are sending them out in small batches. THERE IS NO POLL~ PM a reply to your PM, and we will add you to the list, which will be posted here.

Hello Winners

This game will be a closed set up, and the signups will be closed as well. We plan to start sometime around New Years Day. We are flexible and will work around schedules if need be.

Please PM us back whether you will be PLAYING, NOT PLAYING or would prefer to be a REPLACEMENT, and then we will update the thread. There will be no dead replacement in this game, so Champion Replacements are definitely needed. So if you think you cannot play, but there is even a slight chance of replacing in later in the game, please sign up as a replacement. There WILL be a Spectator Chat where deadies will be welcome.

I'm feeling surprisingly ambivalent towards the closed setup format (compared to witnessing the entire potpourri that was conceived) proposed for this one. I have no doubt the melange will be all in there and it'll be hella awesome, but it'll be way harder during the game to figure out what you're dealing with (except, partially, if one is in a mafia team).

Yeah it's an SK that plants bombs and then sets them off later rather than just killing every night. Love that role.

I made a variation of it called a Pokemon Trainer where each night the rogue captured a player and then got to release one player back into the game every day and use their abilities as their own. Cool role.

Besides my continuing post-Talking Heads burnout, I am really busy this whole month. Plus I'm going on a trip to Austria the last week of December, and we all saw how I behaved in a Mafia game when I was in Sweden.

Well we definitely aren't starting until the first week of January at the earliest, and we're willing to work around busy holiday schedules. That gives you plenty of time to refresh your mafia soul, should you choose to do so

I haven't decided what I'm doing yet; I could end up playing, replacing, or not playing at all. I'd really love to, but I don't want to interfere with time while my parents are down here. If the game starts later into January, the more likely it is that I will play. I'll also have a pretty busy semester though, and was contemplating taking all of Spring 2016 away from playing mafia. I need to mull over it as well.

Austria is boring. You can perfectly Mafia on the phone whilst skiing or attending a concert.

As someone from the Old Guard, I'm fine not getting a share of the Biblical win. We old geezers believe you have to be alive at the end of a game to get the win.

I'm not surprised I didn't win any of the games I played. I'll always maintain that I'm better at hosting than playing. But if you still feel like there is a wrong that needs righting, you can always vote for me as your favorite new member and favorite player when the Sockey awards come around.

I've yet to play in a game hosted by you, though, so I stick for now to my appreciation of your playing.

Regarding the '16 Sockies, I'm not sure if I'll still qualify for New Player since I started playing in 2015 (Film Directors might have started late December, though, don't recall) or I won't qualify anymore since I joined in 2014 (in which case, Bass took that prize and I probably didn't receive a vote from anyone, who knows and I can only hope Belshazzar will win this year ), but technically I wouldn't mind receiving that award myself.

As for favourite player, you didn't play Syndicate Mafia (I roleplayed you, though, so it counts), but you should kinda looky here, particularly at the Mafia Idols section.
