On a serious note, I think both seem fine. I've played Syndicate Mafia with 18-7-1, I think, and it didn't put any faction in any particular difficulty or disadvantage. Do you wish to host a classic version of it first, to warm up your skills for the big one?

@Floyd - my suggestion about Tame Impala.

Send a private message to MP - ask him if it would be possible to agree this long in advance one person in the mod team who is willing to look behind the wall at your game (like, you would show them all the secrets and everything). That person can help you figure out if the game is balanced or not and if you need to make changes - On the surface it looks like it could be balanced, but when there are so many secrets you just don't know.

There are some mods here who are excellent at balance and who its really great to bounce ideas about your game off. I've done it myself with some of them sometimes. Then, whoever it is can mod the game (since they will know the secrets, they can't play in it anyway).

Also, submitting this classic game into the queue is a great idea for your first hosting gig. Good to get a feel for hosting with a smaller game first and then try a bigger one.

It was actually MP who suggested I do a Classic Game and submit (which I have). I might have MP help me with the larger Tame Impala game, if he agrees so.
