Can someone link me to the case on sig? I would prefer not to make a totally uninformed vote, which would be unfair to sig, the other players and the host. But not sure how much time I'll have today, and I'll be getting home from work less than an hour before EOD.

these are my two most significant points, beyond that i don't really have anythign to add because...he hasn't done anything? he's basically just given up and posted some weak emotional appeals about people misreading him, not actual attempts to solve in a meningful way despite the game slowing down massively

i barely play on syndicate so there's very little reason for me to be a priority NK target, especially if my reads aren't good

and in general you're holding me to a standard that isn't remotely in line with my actual play

people have that perception of me but it's mostly inaccurate. it wasn't true a decade ago when i was at my best and it certainly isn't true now.

i win something like 40% of my games in longform mafia. pretty bad at it actually. (i'm okay at turbos)

people just remember my occasional good games and forget all the ones where i play badly (and often in the good ones i'm sponging reads from someone better than me)


but regardless even if that was true or not, i think holing someone to the standard of "wrong once, therefore mafia" is exceptionally unfair. i think in general the ceiling for read rate is a lot lower than people think it is. but regardless, no one has a 100% read rate, that's for certain. even the best players are going to be wrong sometimes. i've had...1 major push this game that i got flipped, and it was wrong. it happens, it doesn't make me scum, it's just a normal outcome based on probability.


if you wanted to argue i should have been able to find sig as town, and that me not doing so makes me scum, i would counter with...how the hell was i supposed to realize he was town when he did basically nothing to counter my perception?

(i think 'player x should have been reading their push as town' is often a valid heuristic but it's far from 100%, sometimes people end up in weird tunnels)
