Thunal I have an easier time seeing as town, even if she isn't doing her tell.
What tell? Is this meta on her that you yourself have baked up?

She waves her hands in the air. It's a site to behold!

The one thing that gives me pause about Thunal is that I know she has a fairly logical brain, and that approach does translate to mafia to some extent, and it's possible that approach is just not as obvious of a town vibe.
My main thing with Thunal is looking at her iso as a whole looks like….I dunno…crafted chapters. If that makes sense.

If you look at her iso and at each post as a separate segment it seems like surface thought is being written into each paragraph. Scotty wrote: Thu Aug 10, 2023 1:16 am @Syn so even though I’m committed to this thunal tunnel, and I think I’m correct,

When you said earlier that you think there is (more or less) a difference check between us, are you still trying to make up your mind on which of us is bad, or are you recanting that?

Like do you think there is a world in which both of us are town?
I mean, of course there's a world where that could be true

I... feel it's unlikely. the way you two have gone at it does not feel like theatre, and enough holes are being poked into both your approaches to the game by separate people that there is something amiss. during D1 I interpreted this as an awkward team, but during D2 it has seemed more directly oppositional

could be good acting, I guess. but for now I'm content with the simpler read that one of you has the other one pegged

I could explain why I want to flip thunal first but the logic of it is terrible and will make me look silly, so instead I'll just look at you alluringly and hope it does the trick

I get what you're saying about Thunal, Scotty. I don't entirely agree with you, as a I think forgetting reads is a fairly common thing (it is for me anyway), particularly reads I haven't put a lot of thought/time into.

That's not to say she's town, I just think that particular part of the case is not a wolfy point.

I'm kinda curious now why Syn struggled to decide who was wolfier in the difference check he mentioned between you/Thual.

The Thunal point in particular: the conclusion does not match the observation at all. No thought was given to this read, ergo wolfy.

I do like some of falcon's earlier observations and questions. He didn't seem to be rushing conclusions or have an agenda. Some of his later posts on Day 1 seem more like busy work: asking people questions and telling them to explain their reads. That's a bit less good.

At this point we were trying to find a consensus since we had a lot of spread locked votes. If you read other peoples posts from this time frame, everyone in the thread (except Nutella who was kinda mocking us, lol) we ALL were doing this. The people trying to find someone we all could agree on vs the people who wanted to default to Rico.

I kinda pushed her to vote Sean after he had gotten a third vote. He was a null for me.

This is all about how EOD went and zero about progression. Thinal, along with Dizzy, we’re considering Rico.

This usage of what happened at EOD to somehow make a “poor progression” argument on the person least responsible for Sean’s yeet is disingenuous in the extreme to my POV.

I mean it didn’t really matter when it comes to my vote tbh, since I had already voted marmot at that point.

LC shielding Thunal was so left field that it really made me think thunal was the bloodsealer.

Now without LC to shield her I’m…I guess…even more tunneled on her being bad
I have to agree with Syn here, at one point, LC said he wouldn't vote for Dizzy for "reasons", lol, and iirc this was before he outed.

And other people did not think Thunal was so obvi bad, that you would be so incredulous that anyone would think that, unless they had info, like you are saying here.

This really only eliminates a pairing of the following: Ricochet, Epignosis, falcon. As everyone else has been pretty active (even falcon to an extent).

As for Ricochet, I'd definitely consider him for a vote today. I don't think it's a stretch to say that his vote at the deadline was uninspiring. It's one thing to make an uninformed vote, or a hasty vote, but he seemed to try to force reasoning into it when he had none to give, which is kinda wolfy.
The timing of that vote, coming as it did after Sean had three votes (actully 4 i think), and thus a yeet of Rico was not doable numerically, that was so so sketch, although TBH I don't know what benefit he would have gotten from it. He would have been better off not even coming in at all, so still kinda waffled on that.

And that post almost didn't even sound like Rico wrote it. It was very weird.

Thunal is a huge blind spot to me, mainly because we've had zero live interactions, so she's a priority reread for me today when I get the chance.

Epi and Rico have moved into my basement and I'm ready to start charging rent.

Scotty I'm still wary of for the LC read, but I think in the end he's probably just town.

We only have two mischops left, so we need a correct POE of four players at this point.
I had some intense EOD with Thunal in the thread, and I'd be surprised if she weren't town.

i agree re Epi, not sure what I think of Rico. That vote :disappoint: but how would a baddie benefit from that, I don't understand the purpose of him voting at all.

Scotty was a top town read for me yesterday, I still am thinking he is town, but he isn't towncore for me anymore. The main thing in his favor with his new posts is that he's treating his Thunal sus very similarly to the way he susses me when he's town. Scotty plays like a DA rather than a detective imo; he starts with a premise, and builds his case from there. He saw a thing that made him think she was bad, so he's looking for things to build his case.

But the way he pulled those Seanzie progression posts right the fuck out of context bugs the crap out of me. Seriously.

I had planned on voting for you up until i couldn't anymore without it being a vanity vote becasue locked hammer. You are sounding more reasonable to me, but you're good at that. You were impressive in GOC, when you were pretty widely suspected, of talking yourself right out of that. So ... Imma keep an eye on you, but backing off.

is it? it had no effect on anything and could just be someone scrambling to make a vote before EOD

unlikely Rico would have any awareness at all about vote locking or the hullabaloo around consolidating votes
I go back and forth on this, between "bizarre coincidence" and "calculated move". I also lean a bit towards bizarre coincidence since I can find no wolfy benefit to Rico voting at all. But the timing, ugh. Right after Sean hit 4 votes. It was so weird.

This isn't a good look for you because I don't really believe that you believed I was the bloodsealer. I thought it was Dizzy and realized it close to EoD, but after I looked through LC's ISO I thought it was clear. He had Dizzy as his top townread for "reasons" when he tried to explain it.

It's easier for a wolf to think "oh crap, maybe I'm pushing a power role" and be paranoid about that than it is for a townie, since a wolf already knows their push is town. If you're town, you believed I was a wolf but still backed off because LC was townreading me even though he was townreading Dizzy twice as hard for no reason? From the mindset of a townie who confidently believes I'm a wolf, thinking "wait, maybe she's a power role" would not be the first thing that comes to mind.
Au contrair monfrau

LC made no real lead up to town read too, and then lumped you into the ‘donotkill’ list, hence me thinking he did so for a reason. I didn’t see him townreading dizzy twice as hard as you say, probably because I was a bit tunneled on you.

I think you’re purposefully finding kernels in crackers to try and discredit the witness.

Which is me. I’m the witness
No, you're the DA.

When Dizzy asked me why I thought he was town, I told him it was becasue he *wasn't* making smooth traceable transitions, he was just changing his mind.

Baddies make "smooth transitions" becasue they worry about how they look. Most townies don't, becasue they worry less about how they look. That's why I always take more suspish when I'm town then when I'm bad, becasue i say stupid shit and make sudden changes without thinking much about it.

LC lumped people into a do not kill list becasue he was trying to mask his Dizzy info, and maybe becasue these were the people he really town read?

Yeah falcon could very easily be a wolf.

If I don't have an opinion on a player, then that player is essentially just rand, and rand is far more often town than not

And every player makes up their opinion about other players, whatchoo talkin' 'bout Willis?

Wolfy post.

The Thunal point in particular: the conclusion does not match the observation at all. No thought was given to this read, ergo wolfy.

Yet here, you do seem to want an explanation of a read...because you make up your own explanation

Scotty's recent posts responding to SVS give me pause on him. He says that he doesn't see eye-to-eye with SVS, but on the other hand, his responses are very conciliatory in a way that he's kind of accepting what SVS is saying, which doesn't strike me as a response I would expect from him towards a player that he doesn't see eye-to-eye with. I would expect a little more challenging of viewpoints.

It could just be Scotty attempting to have good faith discussions after SVS accused him of the opposite, but that's not my gut impression.

Spicy vote.

Syn and LC are both voting him and two of my stronger townreads, yes I'm voting another townread. This is a weird game and I'm not confident in many vote options so I'm going here.

I'm stuck in urgent care getting a minor finger injury looked at so can't stick around or wait to vote.

Glgl

(Also need to make sure LC doesn't accidentally die)
Oh your poor finger

Very weird game, I’m voting with my top wolf read lol

I need to clear up my day and commute day will be over when I get home.

@Thunal33 Marmot voted Sean. I would rather follow LC than vote a low poster.
I'm fine with you voting Sean. I think he's less likely town than most of the list and I don't think Rico will actually go over.
@S~V~S the progression is clear here in how she got to Seanzie.

Which means she didn’t miss a progression and has fully laid out her plans. Do with that what you will.

Laughable that you could clear anyone

If LC wasn’t shielding you I would have voted you.

I still think you’re bad.

Marmot could be good. Their response is not terrible, but they’re also just a scumlean to me atm. I don’t regret voting for them.

Dizzy is an enigma. Syn calling dizzy a top town read is laughable. Dizzy is rather despondent. Epi called him mean, which equates to, as dizzy describes, bluntness. But I see the opposite. He’s a bit aloof and isn’t ruffling any feathers. Blendy, not pushing the envelope. I support a dizzy vote if the rest of y’all with votes remaining choose to go there
Hmmmmmm. Could be towny hypocrisy but does look weird. I also kinda side-eyed his emphasis at sod that he thought the sealer was thunal.

I thought this post was Lime Coke trying to signal to Scotty that he knew what Scotty was, and Scotty's response was one coming from the The Bloodsealer acknowledging it.

I mean it didn’t really matter when it comes to my vote tbh, since I had already voted marmot at that point.

LC shielding Thunal was so left field that it really made me think thunal was the bloodsealer.

Now without LC to shield her I’m…I guess…even more tunneled on her being bad

Nodding along to this. Scotty has set off a few wolf pov alarms atp

Marmot wrote: Thu Aug 10, 2023 10:45 am Scotty's recent posts responding to SVS give me pause on him.

:ponder:

When people suspect me, it’s like I’ve got ice water thrown at my face at a party and i’m instantly sober. Which means I guess im usually driving drunk with no seatbelt. (Don’t do that, kids)
But when people suspect me, or at least have doubt in me, the game becomes ‘do they actually suspect me or are they just trying to find a patsy’?

So in this case:
-SVS hates hates hates that post. Does she actually? Maybe. If I have a hit in Thunal, then she’s probably gonna want to protect her partner. If I don’t have a hit, and she’s wolf, this is probably an attempt to bury me. If she thinks I don’t have a hit and she’s town, I buy that she could very frustrated with how I’m handling thunal’s slot.
I think it’s the last one, but as she has acknowledged, I’m usually paranoid of SVS.
-Syn is outwardly suspicious of me/thunal, but isn’t taking a strong stance either way, which bothers me. Of all the people currently sharing suspicion of me, this one is the biggest question marks for me. I’m surprised he hasn’t made any strong pushes against either of us yet, and it’s weirding me out.
-You have now ‘paused’ on me, which I guess makes sense. SVS makes a compelling case. I still strongly townread you.
-Thunal hasn’t much thrown my suspicions back at me that gives the impression that she suspects me. In fact, there’s been an air of calmness in dealing with my slot. She’s been defensive of course, but only in defending her own progression and reads. I (think?) she still townreads me? Maybe?

Thunal’s argument here makes no sense though, as I’ve explained further along. I still suspected thunal at that point, and I didn’t read LC as townreading thunal more than in my opinion hinting PR, because that progression made no sense. It could be argued that yes, his shield of dizzy also made no sense, but I was more focused on my tunnel
