Here’s where I’m at mech-wise, since no one asked:

-When a player in one thread dies, they gain BTSC with their doppel in other thread.
-I find it VERY unlikely balance-wise that linked players would ever both be wolves, so it stands to reason that tutuu/Robyn is not w/w.
-Mac and Nutella were both removed from the game, which stands to reason they were both linked, and both get removed from the game when their doppel dies. Mac was probably VT
-tutuu has held her cards very close to her chest, as Robyn had professed in limited fashion. They are the same role, as professed. I expected more sharing and less despondent/unsubstantiated labeling from tutuu in this matter. There is definitely a world in which tutuu is wolf, and is categorically running with the delta= scum angle Robyn put forth, knowing full well it will be a mislynch and is easily dismissible as Tutuu’s responsibility.
-Balance-wise, it doesn’t make sense for a player to retain their role/powers if they die and go to the other thread, as they can’t be voted/would be OP.
-There is a good chunk of VTs in this game, which me no likey tbh. That’s tangential and doesn’t actually affect the game more than I don’t like an abundance of VTs in a large, closed, role-madness inferred type of game.
-we have a claimed cop in Jack, so it stands to reason we probably have one in the other thread. I agree with tutuu that there’s more likely to be 6 wolves in this game, meaning probably 3 wolves in this group of 12. That’s 1/4, or 7/28, for those keeping score at

Question to all:
-Is it even on the table to consider a scum cop in a setup? What would be needed to balance that out?
Regardless, scumjack has no need to claim right now. He’s set himself up to be a NK target too early

Also, the other side started with 13 people vs our 14, which stands to reason the 3p without a doppelgänger is in our thread.
Hard to hunt for a 3p in a closed setup, but perhaps mech will reveal itself. I’d be wary of seeming benign claims this point forward.

Wait, actually I don't know about this. What is the balance issue if the wolves are linked with wolves? I assumed that was the logical way to do things. But that was before I knew about timeshifting, which would allow for fast outing.... IF you knew the linked player.

Hmmmmmm
Ok. Uno reverse.

In that case, I would expect all wolves to be linked with their counterpart, and now I’m totally behind this theory.

Spoiler because long:
Spoiler: show
It’s an information aversion thing.
Wolves linked with each other would be the link they need to have a finger on the other thread. Alternatively, they can all see both threads. But this is entirely unlikely. Too much to keep track of.

In this case:
-the wolves in this thread know nothing of the other thread until one wolf dies. One wolf dying unlocks a lot of information for the other side. It would actually be beneficial to a point for one to die, just for that info
-we’re playing our own game on this side of the pond. The other players only matter insomuch that they can be a stump for the other side. That’s the town’s best strength I feel. Garnering info in how the *game* works and then help out the other side as needed.
-eventually, if all goes well, we eliminate 3 wolves on this side. At that point, I would still expect us to remain in limbo, possibly voting no-lynch ad infinitum until the other thread either also elims wolves or reaches parity on that side.
-but then them reaching parity on that thread doesn’t compute, because that means the game would be over for one side, and not the other. Because we’re under the impression we’re linked in some way, neither town nor wolves would win.
Shoot. I haven’t actually read any of the summary of this show nor have I seen it, so thematically I’m grasping at straws here. I have plans to watch it in a couple weeks and don’t want to spoil it, which perhaps holds back pertinent mech discussion

I think linked wolves would have communication with their counterparts... or, easier, they are just all in wolf chat together. I don't think that would be unfair.

What do you think the wolf wincon is?
Because if it’s just ‘reach parity with town’, the current format makes little to no sense.

Scenario: our thread eliminates 3 wolves and the 3p. Great. Then we just keep no lynching if we’re convinced.
Meanwhile, other thread keeps whittling down and it’s 3 wolves v 3 town. Does that proc a win for wolves over there? What about the ones over here? Does town over here lose because other town couldn’t get their shit together? That doesn’t seem fair.

Unless we merge at some point, for some reason. I hesitate to ask, but does that seem like it would fit thematically with the show?

Y’all. Check out ilario’s iso when you get a chance. He is a walking red flag.

It’s not long. But that’s not the inherently suspicious part.

Look at the pushes he makes on D1. He makes a bunch of noise over potential people, by shading them, but not pushing any more than that.
But here’s the progression I want to direct you to:

ive seen cape scum, he has a few tells ive been waiting to see if he hits before i go full send on him lol

didnt like capes opener either but cant really pinpoint why other than it felt a little awkward to me

delta leaning town on everyone might be slightly towny, wolves tend to be slightly more pressured to find something to scumread or shade in their openers
is this not what you just did? :wowee:

Is there anyone aside from me you think had a townie entrance?
yep it sure is, but thats cos im on a timer most games im village so ive shifted my focus from towncore building into just trying to kill wolves

there were other entrances that seemed fine but i havent played as much with those players so i was waiting for the day to play out some more. but since you brought it up id scotty seemed relaxed tonally, and i liked tutuu but im not sure if thats alignment indicative for them or not, they strike me as someone id probably like and get along with as either alignment
I kinda dislike this post, especially the tutuu part feels just wrong to me
How can he be wrong? Well sure he can be wrong that I'm town, but he's just saying that he likes me. Is that not a subjective preference? Where is the room for error?

(unless you're using wrong to say scummy rather than incorrect?)
I was more bothered by the hedginess of it tbh
theres no hedginess. i didnt give a read on tutuu in that post. ironically enough your response to me was more hedgy than the actual post you accused of being hedgy

Where did the cape suspicion go? It feels like ilario actually forgot he suspected cape at all, which is….not a good look to even acknowledge it.

Jumping on and planting a vote on the current wagons at the time is also lazy and does him no favors in my

I do think Tutuu is still flinging rubbish and would advocate a vote there.

A PSV vote would be for resolution of cw.

Longus Congus vote would be for Nuts legacy.

A Tutuu vote is for glory, sweet sweet glory. (Also Darling and I having the same read and conf town makes me more confident in the vote)

Without leaning too much into mech discussion, I dont think w!Jack claims cop there at all because he's in a good enough spot as is; he said it himself, he's being widely townread.

Claiming there just ties him to DM & as a wolf its better to let them go over, regardless of what they flip. At least I think?

So I'd argue they're both just town and not really think any more of it :wowee:

Quick read, what’s your opinion of ilario,
Very conflicted :x

I think his ISO is kinda eh at times, sortve throwing my name out when there was worries about me but then later going 'oh yeah no Delta's town its fine' without actually getting into what pinged him to begin with felt weird to me? & generally his approach feels weird

But there's also times where I like what he's saying, and as contradictory as it sounds I think him ending on PSV instead of continuing with me feels good? Because he definitely set himself up to do so.

Overall ISO is eh but recent actions feel good. That's roughly where I'm at with him. Slightly lean town, would boost higher if PSV wolf
