This is at least the second time you've straight up avoided making waves with your vote. And why the hell are you voting a practically confirmed Civ?

If I make it out of this lynch I'm gunning 100% for you.
Yeah. That's so sketchy, Boom.

Thanks for the recap Russ! I think lynching a guy for two votes that weren't for a Suit is pretty weak though.

Yeah, that's fair. But by the time I could vote today, it was either him or DH, and right or wrong I've gotta trust my reads at some point.

I'm planning to get more into case building tomorrow so we can rectify the weak case situation.

On another note, I know that this is last minute, and that people hate that, but I am also down for a Boomslang vote today if there's support. What is he even doing?? If there are no votes for him today, I agree with DH that he should be given a very hard look tomorrow.

Fair enough, I guess, though I'm a bit miffed at the implication here.

The case being, Snowie did not vote DF, and voted Dom in the now-infamous Dom/Black Rock lynch. So he's got good potential to be a Suit.

Linki: Made, not sure I understand Parts 2 & 3 of your theory. Teamed how? And what do you mean by MP being tainted?

I do agree that a DH lynch would yield a lot of info. Unfortunately, I my gut just doesn't say bad on him right now. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows. But I'm personally not desperate enough to vote people I think are civ just to check the validity of other theories.
I agree with this. I wasn't keen on the DH/Snow Dog connection part of timmer's case on Snow Dog since I'm not seeing DH as bad, but the lynch votes, combined with Snowy's behavior lately, which looks like cornered baddie to me, and the possibility of a connection with Roxy's vote and sudden death, make him a viable candidate. For the first time this game, I'll vote with a majority because I can agree with at least part of it :)

I looked back at Made. In past games, he has been a hell of a lot more active, but in this game, he has less than double of what I've posted (and I'm a low poster). This could certainly be due to real life circumstances. But it was a major reason I thought he was bad in DW (coupled with more aggression/sarcasm) and was right. Voting record as follows:
Day 1: Misses vote/doesn't vote
Day 2: Vote Boomslang (because of Hatter curse, according to him)
Night 2: Votes first for Dom to have the wand. Hmmm...
Day 3: Votes DH
Day 4: Misses the vote/doesn't vote
Night 4: Misses poll
Day 5: Votes Dom for obvious reasons, as did just about everyone
Day 6: Votes Russ without an explanation on the day of the vote (or really that I could see at all)

Could he be a Sorcerer hiding under the radar? I'd like more discussion, and I'd like to know if my logic/observations are totally off, before I'd place a vote, but I think he's worth checking out.

Ummm also agreeing with Boomslang's weird behavior. Straight up second time he's flown in with a seemingly random vote with a weak explanation for it. I'm down with looking at him, too.

Too many people voting for Snow Dog. Makes it harder to pick out which of them are on DH's team.

The Bridge of Death
Image
The Champions moved through Delaware and reached the Delaware Memorial Bridge in New Castle, otherwise known as “The Bridge of Death.”

“Stop. Who would cross the Bridge of Death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see.”

Snow Dog went first.

“What...is your name?”

“Snow Dog.”

“What...is your quest?”

“To murder all civilians and sharp-dressed men.”

“What...member of Rush performed on the Red Rider song ‘Lunatic Fringe’ in 1981?”

Snow Dog looked searchingly into the eyes of the bridgekeeper. “Alex Lifeson,” he answered, and was summarily thrown from the bridge.

A gruesome helmet washed ashore.

The Champions warily moved forward, one by one to answer.

“What...is your name? What...is your quest?”

Snow Dog has been lynched. He was The Necromancer.

THIS.

That would explain why his play this cycle reminded me so much of Who.

I want to go back and re-read DH tonight. That's my goal. I have good feels about timmer and svs and they both seem to see good that I'm not seeing. I'm willing to admit I could be wrong here, so I want to go back and give him a good careful read.

I'd also - for giggles, like to take at the dom/bass lynch vs - the lc messup - vs today's lynch. As far as voting goes, I think there's some things to see here. I'm curious if anyone else besides me - didn't vote dom and didn't vote bass. I have tomorrow off so - hopefully - my weekly sleep catchup time doesn't interfere with much needed mafia time.

And yes - zeek - I know - this still makes me look bad to you. I get why. I can't say anything more than I'm not bad to defend against why you would think I could be a sorcereer. I know the fact that I was the last person Dom silenced looks bad and I understand why it looks bad. It looks like he was trying to throw cred to a teammate on his way out. All I have is, that based on his reaction in the thread when MP made his "I was targeted by both silencers" post, he wasn't expecting to be outed as soon as MP could speak again so he had no reason to throw any teammate cred.

I'm 4 beers in and at the end of the first of 2 60+ hour work weeks. :sigh:

I understand the weaknesses in the arguments that got Snowy lynched, so voting elsewhere is not by itself that worrying. Obviously, however, that also meant his teammates could now use that as cover for not voting for him. I haven't forgotten about the Suits but I think this lynch will be helpful, in combination with Bass-Dom, in determining who the Sorcerers are. But then I thought Snowy was a Suit using this type of analysis!

bea, you seem very civ on the surface but obviously you're still on the Sorcerer list. I'm starting to really pay attention to your closeness to Elo in this game as well. I'll be re-reading both of you.

I was unsure about him, but if he was bad, I would have expected him on this team, not the other. I think Daisy is on the other team. Not sure who with, though. I need to reread Bass v. Dom. AGAIN.

There is something in there we are not seeing.

Timmers vote move was amazingly sketchy looking. I have been trusting him, but that was a weird thing to do. Although it would be a clever one, too, for a civ. So not sure what I think of that. I can talk myself into both views, and have :haha:

I could see Made as a Snow Dog teammate and liked Bloops analysis of that.

I think I understand what bea and eloh are saying, though I'm not sure, but if I'm right about it, I'm not sure why they are being so cavalier about talking about it like this.

Right now, I trust zeek based on gameplay. I trust MP - in the sense that I know what he has to do in this game and thus I know how his actions affect me and the rest of us. I trust S~V~S based on a logical assumption. I trust Long Con based on a hunch. I think I trust Bea and Elohcin, though that's another hunch.

I do not trust Daisy. Or Nijuu. I don't really trust DH because of side factors, i.e. what others think of him. I don't trust any of the silent players and cannot stand that they have give-up playing (and don't believe that a game mechanic would simply have wiped out so many players' ability to play).

Everyone else is in a gray area.

That's where I'm at.

Wow, I basically agree with everything said there. I am less sure of MP and more sure of Bea and myself though.

timmer, you have no idea how much this means to me, particularly as you may have been my biggest opposition in earlier discussions. :)

Can you clarify what you mean about DH?

And I know people have been throwing around Daisy's name as a possible candidate, and I must echo that I still do NOT see her baddie game at all this game. I know her voting record indicates the possibility of a Suit, but I just really doubt that's the case. I don't think it's a healthy way to go for a lynch any time soon.

Even though there are only 4 baddies remaining, I think I actually have a shot at fulfilling my win condition, even if the next 4 lynchees in a row are baddies. So I have every incentive to help you folks continue to find them.

I really don't know what I think about DH anymore, since my thoughts were heavily influenced by thinking Russ might be a certain role, but considering he keeps denying it, I'm just not sure.

My biggest suspect at the moment is actually Blooper because I thought timmer illustrated perfectly how she has played an illusive game. I mean, she CLEARLY voted for LC on D5, expecting another throw off vote, and had no idea others were going to follow her -- and based on a ping she had left over from D1. I just don't see how that's a viable reason to vote for someone at this stage.

Oops, I mean D6 not D5 in reference to Blooper's vote for LC. Thought we were in N6 for some reason.

Timmer and SVS you both need to rethink things because I am not bad. And I believe if you are narrowing it down you are trusting someone you should t be. I highly recommend you consider other possibilities.

I am pretty much right there as well. In addition, like S~V~S said up there, Made could be bad.

Can people summarize why they are thinking Made is bad? I'm curious. I have some vague ideas, but I can't really picture a case in my head.

Can't speak for anyone else but...

Missing Dom vs Bass, not voting Snow Dog, defending Snow Dog, posting while at the same time saying absolute nothing, the fact he's still alive. I find all these things suspect.

It's interesting how the Dom vs Bass poll is being used, as if it's existance makes everyone guilty. Here me out, there is something to learn from the case, but I've heard voting for Dom makes you a Suit, voting for Bass makes you a sorcerer, and not voting evidently makes you equally as nasty.

Again I want to stress this poll shouldn't be ignored, but maybe looked into further in context. So what were the reasons for each vote and were they strong. Does missing intentionally stand up to reason?

Double so for the idea that only a suit would vote Dom and vice versa. Going to read up on snowy and see what I can catch.

Missing intentionally? There were only baddies to vote for. Why would intentionally missing help someone's case?

It wouldn't, which is why looking into the advantages if that would be useful.

Just an FYI, I am in the middle of Mega Blizzard (I LOVE extreme weather :D ) and it's pretty exciting. But it may take my power/internet at any time. So

And Daisy, I don't think I ever answered you a few days back; I agree, i will undoubtedly owe you an apology if I am wrong. The fact that you are making direct declarations has given me pause. Either i am wrong about who I think is Boe, and they are no longer alive, and you know that OR you are being truthful. Either could be true.

Other than me, who do you suspect? Do you have any ideas about who might be on which team?

One lynch poll can't be used exclusively to find baddies. We've seen now that Bass voted for his own teammate in one poll while Snowy voted for a teammate in another. Its the accumulation of a voting pattern that is key, not any one vote.

I go back to Day 1 now and am forced to revisit whether Snowy was indeed saving DH after all. I've gone back and forth on this.

Night 7: No Ni?

Image
The bridgekeeper was annoyed. “So most of you don’t want to answer my questions and cross the bridge and meet the Knights who say Ni? Very well!”

Most of the Champions fell from the bridge into the water below, where the Knights who say Ni could not help them. These Champions had to swim across the river.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

No one has been killed. It is now Day 8. You have 48 hours to lynch someone.
