I moved to falcon primarily as a means to give pyxxy some breathing room in case they were interested in doing things to save themselves. That hasn't happened. Pyxxy is my preferred option of the people substantial wagons against them right now.

Pyxxy: According to this saved VC Seanzie is town due to a... gut feeling
Hey, I'm Caitlin. I've been playing mafia since 2018 and I mostly like setups that have 13-17 players and don't have that much power roles. I live in the Netherlands and I study economics & business economics

It's been a few years since I actively played any games with anyone. But I recall that my general feeling towards TSP in games was that the more avant garde he got, the more likely he was to be town.
You are Zenon, Town 1-shot Desperado. You’re known for posting a lot (namely in anime gif form), playing a lot, and, most importantly, making snap decisions – particularly in the endgame. In a recent game, Wild West FM, you were taken to final 3 and immediately voted the last wolf, resulting in a LyLo that was strictly speaking over in four minutes and two posts. This game, we’re giving you the chance to accomplish a similar feat.
High-Risk High-Reward (Day 2+, 1-shot, Immediate): Spend 6 Snapvote Charges, post Fuck it we ball glgl in bold red text, and ping a player. (When you use this ability, you should also inform the hosts privately.) If they are Town, you will strongman die. Otherwise, you will strongman kill that player. This action resolves instantly.

His tummy was a little unsettled, and he sat down to watch TV. He put on PBS and tried to watch a high brow Cocteau film about Orpheus and Eurydice, but his heart wasn't in it and he wound up on MTV Cribs, watching a show about a rappers million dollar home.
He thought about calling his friends and getting out of the house. He'd had some good times not too long ago just role playing for lulz, as Waymond, who went on to win an Oscar! He's been a Champion! He still *was* a Champion.
These days, life wasn't so fun. He would go into a store and people would look at him in disgust. One person had even called him an abomination! He looked at himself in the mirror, and thought that if people would just give him a chance, he might grow on them. Pyxxy was a good person, he loved his kitties.
It just wasn't fair. At heart, Pyxxy was a fun loving magical person, with awesome and interesting taste in art and music. Not what that crazy Scotty and SVS had turned him into.
She did her best to develop reads and draw people out to talk about their reads. She was always polite about it, but she didn't back down. She was always an asset to the villagers, and helped make games more fun.
There isn't much else to say, except we do know she comes from the Netherlands. She never submitted a song, so she got this boring generic video about the Netherlands instead. And wow is it boring! Did you know there are about 17 million people living there, but they have 23 million bikes? Good for them.
She would sign up for games in order to play with her girlfriend, Abbi, but it never seemed to work out. Now finally, they could play a game together.
Coach Scotty donned a glossy purple lab coat with dinosaurs and plants today on the bus, to which someone snarked, “Is he cosplaying that teacher from the Magic Schoolbus?” He heard this and responded, “Truth be told, I intended to fit in with the training facility, which today,” he smiled, “I hear is a jungle. Or, at least, that’s what the brochure said. It didn’t say too much so I’m just filling in the blanks.”
And blanks there were. Already multiple players were dying off. As was tradition.
Coach SVS, looking out the window at the omnipresent jungle canopy, spotted an encroaching tunnel carved into the mountain. Getting to her feet, she announced, “Okay team, it’s important we all hold our breath going into this tunnel, and keep it held in as long as possible. The training demands it today.”
Someone questioned “Why?” but there was no response from the coaches. And as the tunnel came upon the bus, everyone sucked in their breath as the bus was plunged into darkness for a bit.

For this day only, every player gains a ‘breath.’ This breath may be given to another player willingly some time before end of day. Please do so privately in your personal discord channel if you wish to give it away. Going into the night, collecting a certain number of breaths can give you a benefit: -Two breaths (First Heightening) will give you awareness as to who gave away their breath during the night. -Three breaths (Second Heightening) will allow protection from death during the ensuing night (if you don’t have a killing power) -Three breaths (Second Heightening) will allow you to janitor the kill in the ensuing night (if you do have killing power) -Five or more breaths (Third Heightening) will give you a cool sword

almost certainly can't claim puppet master bc rules

given not wanting to vote delta or whoever the other one was
given sloonei probably unlikely to stack on himself bc of self-professed "focus topic votes", which would lead to scrappy being used sooner + differently

and because I'm already using this post for lots of things, scrappy = caitlin = town caitlin

I am left feeling underwhelmed and have no reason to give this player a town read. @pyxxy you got any late-day thoughts to get off your chest?
"no reason to give this player a town read", but do you have a reason to give them a wolf read?
Delta's post did just give me one. Pyxxy's fixation on Scrappy Doo's identity could be a very easy thing to latch onto for a player who is struggling to engage with any genuine scum-hunting in this thread right now.

- I think it's likely that some part of Caitlin and pyxxy's roles is hidden. I doubt that they are both vanilla in a game that supposedly has a lot of non-vanilla roles.
- The fact that the faction is simply called "mafia" combined with only one kill tonight suggests against a multiball game, unless there is a "Werewolves" faction that holstered/got unlucky
Also, unlike Severance, there doesn't seem to be a way of determining who died in the other thread.

I was gonna disagree actually the language of saying that they were both mafia AND a member of landlords + needing to eliminate towns and all other threats point to either 2 mafia teams or a cult/third party group.
Also just an fyi all I didn’t have my DST set correctly so I thought we had an extra hour hence my post.

I've never heard of a multiball setup that had one player in two wolf teams.

Agreed, at the very least they likely voted someone off
Also, what is with the last-minute vote on a wagon that already had a lot of votes when you had basically done jack all phase? That being a bus almost feels like too much of a noob move for someone who's been playing mafia as long as you were

No so what I mean is say there’s two mafia teams they’d both get the “you’re mafia and on team X” message but the team X would switch depending on their team.

Does that make sense?
The "and" modifier would suggest that they are still all connected under a unified mafia banner though. But hopefully more "landlords" will flip so we can make sense of this. The input of anyone who actually played that game would be appreciated.
She was generally a thoughtful, person who put alot of time into her reads. She took her game seriously. She was a champion, but she was also a real person trying to balance a complex life. She had a great sense of humor, and she was a good friend to the people she let in.
But she just couldn't get into it this time, and she paid the price.
leetic wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 8:18 pm
Yeah, that's lame. The two town flips don't seem to be landlords, in case that means anything.
Landlords were a mafia team in a game, so yeah, it'd be weird to see a townie flip as a landlord.
I think Sig's suggestion that there might be two teams, Landlords, and ???, both labeled a "mafia", team but not necessarily teamed with each other sounds plausible, but honestly I think we just kill scummy things without guessing too much. We're only seeing half the game, afterall.

So in the other thread, it looks like they elimmed Lime, and he flipped wolf. Some people elsewhere think Sig is a wolf.

How do you know this?
I got messages from players in the other thread. Theoretically it could be lies (and the Sig thing is a read, not any sort of result), but I'd guess it is accurate.

There are two mafia factions. Thirty people? GoC? Two old-school hosts? There was always going to be. We now have confirmation of it in pyxxy's death.
Landlords is one.
There is another.
There will also likely be independents.
I would be surprised if the setup were anything different.
What do you make of the only one kill? Do they target different threads, or did they happen to pick the same target, or is the other team exclusively in the other thread?
